A noise of something hitting her window on the first floor made Aniya go to it, in search of the cause of the annoying interruption that had awoken her from a pleasant dream. Looking out, she saw a dangerously handsome man standing on the ground below, looking straight up at her, naked and completely covered in fresh blood and with a dumbfounded look on his face as if he didn’t know how he got to her front yard in the middle of the night. The clouds unravelled the moon, and the moonlight covered her backyard once again. As he turned into a nightmare, Aniya felt the call of their bond for the first time, reaching out to her, trying to lure her to him. All the cells in her body were screaming at her. She closed her eyes and vigorously shook her head, trying to end the weird and unknown sensation. What was that? Why did she feel she wanted to break the window glass and jump from the first floor to go to him, almost unable to control herself?

Robert Bellamy, an agent of the ONI receives a mission on behalf of NSA: to locate the witnesses of the crash of an experimental meteorological balloon in Switzerland, for which he is only given the date, the place where it happened, and the fact that the witnesses were passengers of a bus tour. He is given an unlimited budget but is told he must work strictly under cover. After he finds the first witness, he discovers that the meteorological balloon was actually an alien spaceship. He tracks the witnesses one by one and reports their names to NSA. Without his knowledge, the names of the witnesses are then communicated to the intelligence organizations of their respective countries, and each of them is assassinated shortly after. These actions are coordinated under the name "Operation Doomsday", under the leadership of a figure known only as Janus.

Someone screamed as the dogs outside the hall began to bark just as the young boy was about to speak.Together with the others at the table, he quickly got up, and they all looked out the hall's open door.The boy turned to face his father as several yelps and the dogs' abrupt barking stopped.With his hand on the hilt of the long knife at his waist, the village chief was slowly making his way toward the door.The boy thought Jane, his sister, had screamed, but he had no time to think any further because three Asabya, the terrifying, murderous barbarians of the plains, stormed into the room with a ferocious battle cry at the same time.The boy watched in horror as the tall men, their long, dark hair pulled back by leather thongs around their foreheads, painted black with white around their mouths and dark eyes, swung their swords, and killed everyone in his immediate vicinity.Before the chief could draw his knife, the first person in the room severed his father's head from his body. But they didn't stop there.Everyone was killed, from the tiniest infants in their mothers' arms to the elderly with gray heads who had just given the boy their blessing.The pain and blood as a sword was buried to the hilt in his chest were all he could remember when another person appeared in front of him.
