The story begins with Darien a boy who lives in a village far from the world begins to suffer the ravages of a frost in his village. One day he went out to collect wood for his house and met a strange man whom he took to his village. He leaves him with the mayor of that place and goes to tell his parents. However, soon after, chaos breaks out, because the man he took there was a vampire and he begins to turn everyone into them. Some get out of control and start committing crazy acts to drink more blood, however a group of knights arrive and start killing them. Darien is bitten by one of them and turns into one, but is left in a half state because of his family's genetics. He leaves with the group of hunters that arrived in the middle of the slaughter and Darien joins them, as he has no one in the world.

"You're a church rat, Deigo. Poor and pathetic. I can't keep living with someone who can't provide for me. I should have listened to my parents when they warned me Deigo. You are a worthless waste of time, I should have never spared you a glance Deigo. I deserve better than you" Deigo felt numb, pained. "How can you say that? I've given you everything. Protected you, loved you... Our child..." Sophia rolled her eyes. "That child is not yours. It's Benjamin’s. And I'm tired of pretending otherwise. It’s time you face reality Deigo. People like you don’t belong in my world, you should be with your poor kind of people and not me, so please, let's save both of us the trouble and move on” Deigo's world shattered. ••• After being forced into a three-year marriage to protect Sophia's family, Deigo discovers she's pregnant with another man's child. Heartbroken, she presents to him a divorce paper, Deigo signs the divorce papers. Thrown into jail, Deigo vows to rise again and make them pay for their betrayal.
