Mercantilism. The precursor to capitalism, and inevitably, late-stage corporatism. While not inherently evil, like some would like to believe with guns and violent video games, it still ushered in an era of constant inequality and nonstop crimes against humanity. Don't get me wrong, however, I still likened myself to a fledgling business owner even back in the old world, but I just didn't get why those corporate fucks weren't satisfied with their billion-dollar salaries when the common man barely lived at fifteen bucks an hour.
