Chapter 41: The Princess wakes up
...  “Huh!!”  A reaction of shock sounded from within a wooden carriage, deep within a secluded forest.  It caused the nearby birds to frighten and fly away in a hurry, chirping along their way in a panic.  The girl who’d reacted so strongly found herself to be sitting upright and breathing heavily. She had just awoken from a long dream of the past, now feeling rather disoriented first thing in the morning. ‘Was that... A dream?’ The Elyenora of the present day thought to herself, holding her forehead which had a soft headache rising within it. “Ugh... That really shocked me, I guess reminiscing about the past when you’re tired and feeling under pressure can bring about such scenes in dreams, huh...?” She murmured to herself, thinking about the past that she’d just envisioned. ‘That moment really felt like

Chapter 42: The Monster Wakes up with a dilemma
A stream of leaves fell down from the top of the trees, revealing the long branches which stretched outwards for a few meters from their base. Elyenora’s bright violet sunset like eyes gazed upon the branches, there she could spot a silhouette, it was of the back of a tall man with long black hair which reached down to his waist.  He was wearing a silver like gray coat as well as deep black pants and boots, while at his side was what seemed to be a dark cloak which he’d taken off at this time.  His feet dangled to the side as he sat on the branch and watched on towards the distance of the forest. The princess, having seen this scene, placed both of her hands at the sides of her mouth, as a means to speak louder, and shouted, “Mon’Ter! Hey, I can see you up there! Could you come down here, please?” “Mmm...” A soft sound of agreement could be heard from the man in the t

Chapter 43: Catching up on recent events
It didn’t take long for Elyenora to get the horses all set up and ready to pull the carriage once more, she did it with fervor and seemed to be in an overall good mood all the while, humming her soft melody whilst doing her work.Mon’Ter only watched on in silence, he had finally woken up after days of slumbering and was still a little confused about the situation. His body felt well rested and completely fine now, despite all the damage he’d taken during his fight with the higher spirit of fire.  It was something that most might think of as unusual, however he didn’t have any such thoughts about it. To him that was normal, as his body is one that is generally hard to wound, and also heals extremely quickly. What was a strange feeling however, was to wake up somewhere so far away from where he’d initially fainted, to see Elyenora sleeping softly beside him like nothing had happened before this, it was a

Chapter 44: An alphabetical lesson
Along the dirt paved road, a carriage shook slightly after each hole and rock that its wheels passed. The duo of princess and monster stood in the front seat and watched as more greeneries came into view, silently enjoying the journey.“Hey, Mon’Ter.” Elyenora piped up and turned to look at him. “Yes... What is it... Ely?” Mon’Ter asked with his raspy voice, whispering in reply. “I’ve got some things in the back for you, I had wanted to help you out with learning some stuff while we travel.” She explained with an excited tone, “It would be like that time I tried teaching you to read, what do you say?”  “Mmm...” The monster mused for a moment, “Okay. I would like... to learn more...” Grinning joyfully, Elyenora exclaimed, “Awesome! Let’s get started then!” She turned to look behind herself and into the carriage, th

Chapter 45: An Elderly Granny's night stroll.
The night was as dark as any, adding an eerie touch to the forests which Elyenora and Mon’Ter were traversing. Tonight, the sky was one nearly completely covered by clouds, thus not even the light of the stars could shine through to bring light upon the forest. The only thing you’d be able to see if you looked up, would be the silhouette of the trees’ branches with their many leaves, as well as the soft luminous glow from part of the full moon which would rightfully be dominating the sky at this time, were it not for the aforementioned clouds. Elyenora had her horses slowly ride onto the dirt paved road, using two large lanterns at each side of the front seat to help navigate the forest. She was now simply waiting for any sign to pop up and tell her that her destination was nearby. One such sign presented itself soon enough, prompting the girl’s reaction.   “Oh, I think I can see some light flicke

Chapter 46: The Assassins' ambush
Smoke rose up from the ground, filling the air with its toxic gases.  A small section of the village known as Miccan had been completely decimated, spreading fire to everything in the surroundings and bringing them to the same fate. In this moment, fifteen shadow like figures appeared on top of a few rooftops which were farther away from the explosion. One amongst these figures walked up to another, whom was giggling uncontrollably as he watched the flames rage on.  “Blaze, stop laughing you creep! Didn’t you say that explosive wouldn’t be enough to kill princess Elyenora? This is way beyond overboard! She’s dead damn it! Dead!” He scolded with an angry tone, although his face was hidden behind a black hooded mask and no one could see his expression. “Hahaha!” The giggling person named Blaze continued his laughing, “Oh, come on, Arrow! She’s a famous sword

Chapter 47: Elyenora VS Blaze, Mon'Ter strikes back
Running through the woods, Elyenora and Mon’Ter moved in different patterns, hoping to lose their pursuers in doing so. “Ely... Two of them... are getting close...” Mon’Ter murmured, warning the princess who was running right beside him. “What? Already?” The surprise was evident on her face, speed was the one thing that she was confident in, to have them catch up this quick really showed her how dire this situation had gotten.  Moments later, a big wave of fire fell down from the sky in front of them, creating a giant wall of flames which reached as high as twenty meters in the air. This sudden obstacle forced them to promptly stop their advance. The enemy, had reached them. ‘To get caught so quickly...’ Elyenora thought as she gazed at the fires. ‘This simply won’t go our way, will it?’ Turning around, she scanned the area to find wher

Chapter 48: Mon'Ter VS Arrow
After having dodged the enemy’s raging blue fire balls, Elyenora couldn’t hold herself within the air for any longer and thus started falling down towards the ground. Within that instant, the explosions sounded from below and she took haste in using them to her advantage. With her rapier, Elyenora collected the powerful gales caused by the eruptions and used them to lighten her fall, landing right atop the branch of a tree which was a bit farther away. She was still keeping the powerful winds within her sword for later use, making sure to not lose that buff in strength.  The princess then glanced to where Mon’Ter was, around the area where the weaker assassins had gathered, and she promptly grinned, ‘Seems like Mon’Ter is still a wild card to them, they’re sure in for more surprises.’ The fact that Mon’Ter was travelling along with Elyenora, is something no one knew about, not ev

Chapter 49: The Two Matchups
‘She is the important person...?’ Mon’Ter thought whilst gazing at the woman called Lioness, she wore some flashy clothing similar to the ones he currently wore, in that same manner at least. In one of her hands, she held a saber that seemed to be made of solid gold, quite the extravagant blade to say the least. The scene was filled with tension, with Mon’Ter and Elyenora facing off against Blaze, Lioness and Fiend.  Arrow however, was still standing still while being held captive by Mon’Ter’s claws.  Upon seeing this, Blaze suddenly piped up. “Hey, Arrow! What the hell are you doing? Get back over here!” He shouted, trying to get the man’s attention.  Yet despite his attempts at conversation, Arrow didn’t give back any sort of reaction, simply standing there with his eyes opened widely as if he’d seen death itself. “Arr

Chapter 50: Mon'Ter VS Cazimir Serafall
With a forest fire raging on nearby, expanding more and more while threatening to burn down the entire woods. Both Elyenora and Mon’Ter rushed at their individual enemies along with them, as if in complete sync with each other, they all sent out a strike. Elyenora swung her rapier, smashing its edge right into Lioness’ golden saber and causing a powerful shockwave of gales to erupt from her blade. While Mon’Ter attacked with his elongated claws, going straight for Cazimir’s neck in an attempt to end him quickly, yet despite his best tries, the one nicknamed Fiend had stopped his claws with an invisible entity that he held in both hands. It was a relatively long weapon, like a spear but different, his hand posture was more so pointing the pole part of it upwards, rather than right towards where Mon’Ter’s claws had been stopped. “Weird...” Mon’Ter mumbled, unsure of how to feel ab
