Chapter 150 - Ridicule
The moment the bone spear had pierced its flesh, unbearable pain surged within and it felt an indescribable sense of heaviness, as if it had been thrown into a deep swamp, unable to move even for an inch. Trying to suppress the urge to growl in pain, Edmurd glared at the sudden appearance of a human in uniform. A single glance to his chest, the insignia of the Sacred Heart had told Edmurd where this human came from. However, it seems that the man predicted it's movement by targeting the weak elves' children.  Not to mention, the girl who held it's oath was among these children, so there wouldn't be any second thoughts for it. Edmurd faced all of the attacks head on, but the last one was something that it didn't anticipate.  Not all of the artifacts would have the a

Chapter 151 - Strength
"Looks like I've saved you this time, Guardian."  Didn't wish to chase the retreating middle aged man, Aaron glanced at the giant python and summoned a ball of blood. Then, he shaped the blood into a javelin before he threw it as fast as he could, right at the center of the photon's head.  The sound of something breaking ensued and the python screamed  in agony as the flames that made its body became smaller. Still, they didn't relax and turned their whole attention to the middle aged man instead.  "Arcnaghur…" finding that the one who butting in was Aaron, the middle aged man became more interested and less angry. Straightening his robe, the man walked on top of thin air. He stared at both of them before he turned to Aaron and spoke. <

Chapter 152 - Madness
Observing from afar, Elizabeth covered her mouth while opening her eyes wide. The situation on the battlefield between Aaron and the middle aged man was far from good. Not to mention, fear slithered into her heart when her gaze fell to the bone warriors.  Faintly, she could hear dying screams coming out of them. But as she focused her attention to the sound, only silence greeted her. An uncomfortable feeling stirred within and she felt slightly restless. For a second, she thought her ears were playing tricks on her before the notion of ghosts and spirits came to her mind.  "...This is nuts.." Aside from Aaron, there was another matter with Edmurd and the humongous skeletal giant. In the opposite direction, the rangers were fighting against an army of wizards. On he

Chapter 153 - Unpredictable Events
'I guess his title wasn't for nothing.' Watching how Aaron broke the skeletal warriors one by one with his scarlet club, the middle aged man clicked his tongue as he meditated at the branches above. Sweats drenched the back of his robe and forehead while he observed the battlefield. Though he managed to deal with Edmurd by himself, as he had expected, Aaron's appearance threw a wrench to his plan and made him expend more unnecessary energy.  'Should I retreat for now?'  Perhaps if he could help his subordinates and those cannon fodders from before, then he could use the advantage of numbers to overwhelm both of them. However, under the premise both of them would still stay around and wait for him. There was no way they would let him massacre the elves' rangers.&nbs

Chapter 154 - Blackmail
'Is that necklace the reason why I had that feeling before?'  Looking at the slightly frightened, yet serious face of the girl, the man gnashed his teeth. The girl dared to ask him questions instead of replying to him. Not to mention, she was lost in thought when he was standing before her, wanting to capture her. How could someone be so careless like that?  'There's no trace of illusion magic, so she's a she. Not some kind of trick to change one's appearance.'  After all, wizard was something that only consisted of male gender. A female in their Sacred Heart organization was simply impossible. Then, there were only two other possibilities.  'Either she got it from her family, which her father's

Chapter 155 - Victims
When the shout vibrated through the entire area, all of the elves' attention was drawn, especially after a particular crying sound that followed.  "Nooo!" It was a child's cries, which tell the pain of the kid for anyone who heard it. Then, they saw how a young boy around the age of five was being held with forcefully grabbing his hair to pick him up. A sharp dagger was flying in the air and moved on its own. With the slightest thought of the kidnapper, the flying dagger would peel yet another skin of the boy and make him cry more louder.  The kidnapper was a middle aged human whose face was fully known by the wizards. When they saw his figure, most of them halted their movements and silently waited for the man.  Read more
Chapter 156 - Rage
It was as if they were all plunged into horrifying nightmares, something that wished to wake up from when they heard the dying throes of a little girl. Since they weren't that many, many of them knew others at some point. As such, the reality before them was too cruel for them to see, with half of the rangers filled with rage and hatred.  The worst of them was the big brother of the young girl. It's as if he saw the sky crashing down to him, his gaze almost devoid of life. He wanted to move, to rush forward and mutilate the human who dared to do that. Yet, he found out his boundless anger and strength from before had dissipated the second he found that little body falling to the ground, breathing her last while her face was covered in bloody wounds.  "Another one." Read more
Chapter 157 - Awry
'In the end, I've to do something for those rangers.'  His hostage plan might have been thwarted and resulted in elves to be more motivated and driven to go attack the wizards. However, the middle aged man couldn't stay quiet anymore and decided to enter the battle as well.  'First, cut the heads before breaking down the body.'  He had memorized some of the rangers that looked to be the leader of a team. As long as he killed all of these rangers, it would be harder for the rangers to coordinate with each other and their formation would soon crumble.  Without dallying any longer, he tapped the edge of his cane and a runic language flowed out of his lips. Then, his figure became transparent and fin

Chapter 158 - What Goes Around Comes Around
Crushing the giant skull under its claws, a clouded mist was formed from it's breath. Scratches and even deep slashing wounds could be spotted on all of its body. Blood flowed out from them and fell to the ground. After that, a miraculous scene happened. Wherever every drop fell to earth, grass or flowers would sprout out of them.  However, they soon wither as they didn't last more than a minute long. It was a decayed grassland beneath it's feets which was decorated with dozens of skulls and bones. Most of these bones would be much smaller compared to its size. But one particular group of bone and a skull wasn't that different from it.  At last, it had won the battle. Even though it had gained the most injuries for the past couple decades, it still won against the skeleton of a giant. Nevertheless, no sense of achievement o

Chapter 159 - Seed Of Hate
As it passed the group of elderly elves and pregnant woman, Edmurd noticed the brief suppressed enmity directed to it. It almost made Edmurd stunned and stopped it's walk. However, it still continued on and went to Elizabeth's side.  Surprisingly, there wasn't any trace of brightness on her eyes when Edmurd observed her carefully. Edmurd wasn't a stranger to the expression she wore on her face. Nonetheless, Edmurd never thought it would see Elizabeth hang that expression.  Helplessness, despair, and… animosity.  "...What happened?" blurted Edmurd as it couldn't subdue it's curiosity any longer. The girl's shoulder immediately jolted before her head moved downwards, casting her sight to the ground and didn't even open mouth in the slightest.
