There are plenty of reasons as to why Gerant lost to Samira. The first is that he didn’t fight her as seriously as he should. If he sacrificed all of the monsters he brought along with him, then the fight would be more even right from the start. In fact, he has a great chance of overpowering Samira just from doing so.Then there’s the fact that his arrogance continued towards the entirety of the fight. Not using up everything in his arsenal and only releasing around forty percent of what he’s actually capable of. That’s why Samira had an easier time defeating him.
