chapter 30
It was obvious to Jack that Dwayne was trying to make fun of him, but he was only interested in the safety of himself and the others. “This is not the time, Dwayne. I need you to listen to me. Guys?” Jack turned to look at the rest of the group, and it was only Seth and Lucy who agreed to what he suggested. The three elves seemed to neglect the fact that the environment where they were walking was strange, and even the air seemed to be mixed with some kind of tension that was unexplainable. “Humans, always looking for an excuse to quit an important mission. Little wonder not many of you have been elevated to be among the council members in the city.” Sierra said with a voice laced with so much disdain while she looked at Jack who ignored her and turned to look at Vince, hoping that he was going to be more reasonable than his sister. “I am sorry, Jack. But we need to continue moving. There is no time, and I would not want to lose my chances of laying my hands on all the beautiful t

chapter 31
The rest of the crew joined him almost immediately, spreading themselves across different corners of the Greenland in order to escape from the creatures that were swooping in on them from the sky. “I knew it! I shouldn't have come to this adventure! This was a mistake!” Seth cried out aloud as he galloped from one point to another, unable to make up his mind about the actual direction he was to run. Sooner than they expected, the creatures got really closer, and from the sight Jack made when he looked up in the sky, there were about fifteen of those blood-thirsty huge creatures ready to devour them. “They are getting closer! What do we do? What do we do?” Sierra asked anxiously, looking up at the sky, and unable to make a decision about the the particular direction she was supposed to run to. “I think we should hide behind the trees! Everyone, the trees! Go for the trees!” Jack said loudly, running toward one of the huge trees, and almost immediately, the others joined him, runnin

chapter 32
“Hang on, Sierra!” Vince said as soon as he ran out from his hiding place behind one of the trees, and instantly, he twisted the ring attached to his spear, making it glow brightly before he started to run toward the direction the creature was flying while still holding onto his sister whose legs were dangling in the air. “Hurry! Hurry, Vince! Hurry up!” “I am coming!” Vince increased the speed of his legs, and after a while, he jumped really high with the help of the spear before he dashed into the air, and grabbed the creature on its tail. “Vince! Hurry! Get me away from this ugly thing!” “I am trying, okay? Just hang in there!” Vince tightened his grip on the creature’s leg, and when he was sure that he was balanced, he plunged his spear into the belly of the creature, it let out a loud cry which made it let go of Sierra who fell instantly to the ground, and grunted as soon as her body touched the Greenland. “You are welcome!” Vince grunted as he held onto the tail of the crea

chapter 34
The one Vince had pierced with his spear was on the ground whimpering in pain while the other one whose eye was pierced managed to see with the other eye and was getting ready to attack Sierra for the second time in order to seek revenge. Sierra looked at the creatures, and instantly she began to regret the decision she made to co“We shouldn’t have come to this dimension, Vince! I knew that this was a bad idea!” “Well, we are here already. Maybe you can try focusing on the best action to take so that we can leave this place alive rather than regretting the decision you have already taken!”Vince retorted while holding onto his spear firmly his eyes staring keenly at the creature. Meanwhile, Jack remained hidden behind the tree alongside Seth who couldn't even look to see what was going on as he continued panting while he struggled to catch his breath. Everything looked like it wasn’t going to get worse until Jack looked ahead to see that one of the screechers had discovered where

chapter 35
“Hey! Hey! Stay away from her! Stay away from her!” Jack shouted at the creature while he continued to run toward it with full force. A few seconds later, he pulled out his energy blade and got ready to attack the screecher which turned to look at him, and growled angrily. Realizing that he had succeeded in getting the attention of the creature, Jack decided that he was going to lure it away from Lucy, and then he started to run toward his left after making sure that the creature was really pissed that it distracted it from attacking Lucy who was still on the ground struggling with her breath. “Come on, come after me,” Jack said hopefully after he had taken a few steps to his left, but the creature was caught up between the two Humans, and wasn’t sure of which one of them it was going to attack first. A few seconds later, the creature decided to go with the meal that was closer, and then it returned its attention to Lucy who gasped the moment her eyes met with the fiery eyes of th

chapter 36
“Jack! Jack!” Lucy shouted in fright, and then she pushed herself up with both hands while she struggled with the panic that engulfed her entirely. Watching Jack struggling with the creature that grabbed him from the ground, she felt a sudden guilt grip her, and she felt she was never going to be able to live with the guilt if anything happened to him. “Drop him! Drop him!” She started running toward the creature that had Jack, completely ignoring the rest that was screeching at her from the moment she started running toward one of them with her dagger tightly gripped in her right hand. “Drop him! Let him go you ugly fat-faced monster!” Lucy continued to go after the creature that tightly held onto Jack, but she had only taken a few more steps when one of the other screechers decided to attack her for trying to go after one of them. It growled angrily at Lucy, and then it started to go after her, causing her to freeze instantly, while she thought of the best action to take. “Run,

chapter 37
“Get away from me! Let me go!” Lucy’s voice resonated from a distance, causing Jack to lift his head toward the direction he heard her voice from. “Lucy…” He said with a whisper, looking at Lucy who was struggling to free herself from the tight grip of the creature that had gotten a hold of her long blonde hair, and almost pulled her down forcefully. “Jack! Jack! Help! My hair!” Jack Jack dragged out the blade from the heart of the creature, and it fell backward, sprawling on the grass, and causing the little insects on the ground to flee for safety. “Jack! Jack!” “I am coming,” Jack said with a faint voice, and after he had quickly taken in a deep breath which he let out sharply, he stood up with the help of his blade, and dashed toward Lucy who had fallen face-down to the ground while the screecher above her still attempted to drag her upward by her hair. The distance between the point where Jack took off from and the spot where Lucy lay wasn’t so close, but he maintained a h

chapter 38
The screecher turned backward to look at Jack who was still holding onto its tail, and in order to get him away from its body, it flew toward one of the trees, hoping to bash his head against the dry body of the huge tree. Jack looked ahead as soon as he saw that the screecher had increased its speed, and when he saw that the creature was heading for a tree in an attempt to crash him against it, he thought of a way to get away from the situation that could really hurt him or even end his life. For the third time, he stabbed the creature with his energy blade, but the determinant creature only screeched in pain and continued moving higher and higher without any plans to change direction. Seeing that his plan of causing the creature to let go of Lucy wasn’t working out, Jack decided to try another way of getting away from the impending peril that was getting closer and closer to him. He looked downward, hoping to let go of the tail of the screecher so that he could fall to the groun

chapter 39
“Why don’t you let her go you silly creature?” Jack said angrily while he continued running after the screecher who wasn’t aware that he had gotten down from the tree. “I am coming, Lucy,” Jack said calmly while he increased the speed of his legs, making use of the strength and speed boosters that helped him to catch up with the creature that had to slow down as a result of the deep injury it had on its left eye. He jumped up really high and grabbed the tail for the second time and since the screecher was still in pain and had little strength left in it, it couldn’t go higher than it already was. “Get down! You are not going anywhere!” Jack dragged the screecher down with his left hand, and when the creature realized that it could no longer keep up with the struggle, it let go of Lucy who almost fell to the ground if not for the timely intervention of Jack who quickly let go of both the tail of the creature and his energy blade and grabbed her before she fell to the ground. “I've

Jack remained the way he was, looking at the two elves who were acting really strange. Nothing they did made sense to him, and he dared not to make any move for fear of being attacked with their sharp weapons that were tightly gripped in their hands. “Start talking! Who are you?” Sierra asked while Jack scoffed loudly without being certain of the right response he was supposed to give to her. “Guys? What is happening? I don’t know what you are talking about.” “You better start talking or I will reap your heart out with my spear!” Vince threatened, moving toward Jack who leaned backward as soon as he saw the sharp edge of the weapon getting closer to him. “What are you guys doing? If this is a joke, you need to stop it, okay?”“This is not a joke! How did you know that those were screechers?” “Because Seth told me! Seth told me that they were screechers!” Jack responded at once, and then he turned around to look for Seth who was still hiding behind the tree where he left him. “Li
