Chapter 4

Agatha couldn't close her mouth. She was too stunned by Ace's actions. "I can't believe you have that much money, Ace. You seem to be starting a new life."

"Ace! Your name is Ace? Oh my, you're amazing!" one of the female onlookers exclaimed in awe. She had shoulder-length blonde hair and covered her mouth in disbelief. Her feet were rooted in place, still admiring Ace.

"Your ex bought everything in this mall. Even though they're just useful items, it amounts to 20,000 units. Wow, that's a lot," Nathan exclaimed. His voice was drowned out by the crowd of onlookers who were still scrambling to take the items Ace had purchased.

[WOMAN WHO ADMIRE YOU HAS 40 PERCENT INSANITY.]

Ace was still puzzled by this notification.

Suddenly, Lily threw herself into Ace's arms. She hugged Ace shamelessly with a joyful expression on her face.

"I admire you, Ace," Lily declared, as if she had fallen in love at first sight. It was a love filled with admiration.

Ace was surprised, but he returned Lily's hug. He glanced at Agatha, whose face had turned red with anger and jealousy.

Ace's hand patted Lily's back. "I'm not the type of person to pretend to have deep feelings," he indirectly taunted Agatha. Her sincerity had been in vain and discarded like worthless garbage.

Ace's actions showed the opposite. He wasn't thrilled to be hugged and adored by women, especially as beautiful as Lily. Instead, he was mocking Agatha in front of a crowd.

Agatha stared at Ace without blinking. She was still in a dream, watching how cool Ace was when he said everyone could take whatever they needed.

[AGATHA'S INSANITY LEVEL TOWARD YOU INCREASED BY 30 PERCENT.]

[AND THE INVOLVEMENT LEVEL OF THE BEAUTIFUL WOMAN HUGGING YOU IS 42 PERCENT.]

"This is impossible! You're not Ace! It's impossible for the Ace I knew to suddenly become a millionaire by buying 20,000 units of items for everyone," Agatha shook her head, feeling slightly dizzy.

"Honey, come on. Let's just eat, okay? You've been admiring Ace all this time," Nathan said, slightly jealous. He glanced at Ace cynically. He hoped Agatha wouldn't rekindle her romance with Ace. He had worked hard to woo Agatha to satisfy his kissing desires.

Agatha nodded. "Let's go, dear," she covered her face, feeling a bit embarrassed for belittling Ace. Her ears were still ringing with the negative comments that labeled her as a gold-digger who was only after men's money without genuine feelings.

They chose a food stand not far from Ace, who was still hugging Lily.

Agatha frowned when she saw Ace hugging Lily, her own friend. Her feelings and heart felt tight and painful.

It would be a lie to say Agatha still loved Ace, but she was starting to like her ex again when Ace showed his wealth.

"If I hadn't broken up with Ace, I would have been shopping every day, buying whatever I wanted. Unlike Nathan, who always refuses. It's just because of his mother's sake that he's concerned about spending. What's wrong with making a woman happy? Besides, I'll be Nathan's wife soon," Agatha grumbled to herself.

Agatha reached for Nathan's hand and removed his watch. "This is expensive; you can afford it. But why didn't you buy me the limited edition pink bag, huh?" Agatha protested, irritated. She slightly squeezed Nathan's watch.

Nathan was surprised and quickly took it back. "Honey! What are you doing? What if my watch gets damaged? My goodness, be careful holding it! This is an expensive item," Nathan scolded. He caressed his precious watch.

"Even you embarrassed me earlier. You proudly bought the most expensive watch, but Ace was able to buy 20,000 units of items? Ace is richer than you; be careful with your words. I'm embarrassed, my dear!" Agatha pouted, whining and clutching Nathan's hand. Her head rested on his solid and comfortable shoulder.

Witnessed by many visitors, Agatha was embarrassed. She might not come to this mall again in the future. Surely some of them recognized her face and remembered her.

"Hey! Nathan!" A loud shout startled Nathan, Agatha, and the people around him.

An angry, overweight woman approached with stomping steps. Her clothes were large, and her belly fat was visible.

A slap landed on Nathan's cheek with force, causing him to turn his face and grimace in pain.

Agatha was shocked. "What's wrong with you, slapping my boyfriend, huh?" She flared up, immediately standing and hugging Nathan. She shielded Nathan from the chubby woman.

Ace, who had witnessed it from a distance, could only smile. "You think you're the only winner? You, too, will experience defeat, Agatha," he mumbled. Fate would show and repay the pain in his heart with the presence of the chubby woman who slapped Nathan. He was sure she wasn't an ordinary woman.

"What are you doing here? And who is this? Is she calling you her boyfriend?" Rebecca glared, hands on her hips.

Nathan remained silent, unable to respond. In his heart, he cursed. 'Damn it! Why does Rebecca have to be here? How did Rebecca know I was here with Agatha?'

"You should know, you man-stealing woman! I am Nathan's girlfriend. I bought him the car, the watch, the clothes, and the shoes. I bought everything for Nathan," Rebecca ranted, revealing who Nathan really was.

Rebecca pushed Agatha, causing the embrace to break. She then delivered a second slap to Nathan's cheek. Nathan's two cheeks were now red with her handprint.

"Cursed be you, ungrateful and disrespectful man!" Rebecca yelled. Her teeth gritted, her lips devoid of a smile, displaying her burning anger.

Agatha was in shock. Could this really be the Nathan she knew?

"Let fate take its course; I'm content to stay in my bed," Rebecca laughed. She felt satisfied after slapping Nathan twice. But she wasn't satisfied when Nathan cheated on her and proudly claimed to have bought the watch himself for everyone.
