Chapter 5

Agatha smiled, wondering if what she had just witnessed was a joke about Nathan. Wasn't Nathan a wealthy boss?

Some food orderers joined in witnessing the commotion caused by Rebecca.

The commotion was so intriguing that they rarely spoke, too curious about what would happen next.

"You willingly let Nathan fool you. He squeezed your money out just for me. Your life is too pathetic," Agatha sneered. She crossed her arms, and ever since she learned that Nathan had another more important girlfriend, her heart had shattered and disappointed. Nathan had lied to her all along.

Nathan slowly moved to kneel in front of Rebecca. He fell to the floor, on his knees, at Rebecca's feet. "Honey, forgive my mistake," Nathan's lips quivered as Rebecca's curse made him fearful and anxious. He didn't want that curse to come true.

"All of this is because of Agatha seducing me, honey. This situation is Agatha's fault," Nathan grabbed both of Rebecca's feet and hugged her.

Rebecca heard Nathan's words, she looked down at Nathan who was desperately pleading for her mercy.

"Only you, my dear, hold a special place in my heart, Rebecca Cloe," Nathan whined and cried, surrendering and admitting defeat but seeking forgiveness from Rebecca.

Everyone watching Nathan was in shock. Some of them knew who Nathan was, a wealthy boss of a famous company in the city. Anyone would recognize him because of Nathan's successful career, which was discussed and featured in newspapers and magazines daily and monthly.

"Hahaha, look at that. He was the one flaunting his watch earlier, right?"

"Exactly! Now he's groveling to his chubby girlfriend and choosing that woman."

"He's a heartless dog trying to win the heart of a wealthy older woman."

"And the woman obsessed with the limited edition pink bag got nothing. How pitiful!"

Rebecca sighed. "I won't forgive you, Nathan. Unless you slap your girlfriend's face twice, hard," ever since she found out Nathan was alone with Agatha, her heart had been burning with jealousy. Nathan was like a king enjoying the inheritance from his money.

Nathan nodded obediently. "Alright, I'll slap Agatha's face now," he stood up with firm and dignified steps, approaching Agatha, who was sitting with her legs crossed.

In a matter of seconds, Nathan roughly slapped Agatha's cheeks twice in succession. The loud sound of the slaps made anyone who saw it scream and cover their mouths.

Agatha fell to the floor because Nathan's slap felt like a powerful shove that threw her off balance.

Agatha screamed. "Arghh! Nathan! It hurts!" Agatha winced in pain and rubbed her cheeks. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she sobbed bitterly.

The corners of Nathan's lips turned upwards. He smiled with great satisfaction. "You, a wasteful and shopaholic woman I've ever known. I'm tired of your behavior, Agatha. I'm fed up with my money slowly running out because of you! You always ask for things beyond your needs. So, I borrowed money from the company just to buy you shoes, bags, clothes, and makeup. Huh! I'm a man who's too foolish to keep you!"

Nathan expressed the complaints he had harbored for so long. He had sacrificed everything for Agatha, even borrowing money from the company because his own and Rebecca's money had run out, just to make Agatha happy.

Rebecca also approached and stood by Nathan's side. "You're a selfish woman who shamelessly snatched someone else's boyfriend. And the necklace you're wearing, Nathan bought all the necklace collections for you. Unfortunately, Nathan only gave you a few necklaces," Rebecca stuck her tongue out from behind her mouth, still not reconciled to the fact that some of her belongings were now owned by Agatha.

Lily remained silent, just watching it all. She had no right to intervene. Agatha deserved the payback for playing Ace and cheating on him.

'Poor Agatha's fate. You're really humiliated twice by your closest people,' Lily's heart felt pity for Agatha.

'And now is the time for that retribution to occur. Agatha, you need to know how painful and devastating it is to discover the truth,' Ace's inner voice spoke. However, he still remembered the moment he was about to enter Nathan's office and saw the worst sight he shouldn't have seen. Agatha was kissing and sitting in Nathan's lap, cuddling intimately.
