Chapter 6

Suddenly, another woman hugged Ace and pushed Lily, causing Lily's embrace to break.

"You move! You don't deserve to hug Ace," she exclaimed angrily. She wanted to feel the embrace of a wealthy man.

The push was forceful enough to make Lily stumble and fall to the floor.

Lily was surprised; she hadn't realized she had been hugging Ace for too long. "Why did you push me?" Lily glared, not accepting it.

Ace, too, was surprised by the embrace of another woman, a sexy woman with a slightly curvy body. He felt comfortable in her arms.

Ace contemplated the metallic voice of the wealth system in his mind. 'What does the wealth system mean by my cold attitude towards Lily? But Lily seemed a bit infatuated when I bought her the limited edition silver bag,' his inner voice pondered.

"Hey, Rebecca! It's time for us to go. Come on!" He shouted, and Rebecca turned and smiled, nodding.

Rebecca left with her co-workers, followed by Nathan.

Ace breathed a sigh of relief when the embrace finally ended. It seemed that the woman had only admired his cool demeanor a few minutes ago before Rebecca came and slapped Nathan.

Lily stood up, hugged Ace again, and apologized. "Ace, forgive me. I didn't know Agatha's true nature was so bad now. Will you forgive me?" She felt guilty for befriending Agatha, who had a selfish and self-indulgent nature just to fulfill her shopping desires.

"And, did my actions earlier not harm you? Or do you feel better now that you silenced Agatha?" Lily looked up at Ace, her gaze unwavering.

Ace shook his head. "You don't need to apologize, Lily. Because Agatha doesn't deserve sympathy. It's pointless for you to pity her; Agatha will never change," he let go of Lily. It turned out that Lily was worried that she might have felt disadvantaged after buying the most expensive silver bag and 20,000 items because she had answered Agatha and Nathan's questions about whether he had suddenly become a millionaire.

"Ace, can I get closer to you?" Lily asked hopefully. She knew Ace was a good guy, but she also wanted to be closer to him. It would be a shame if such a good man as Ace were wasted and not felt happy and appreciated.

Ace nodded. He smiled, now he understood why the metallic voice wealth system in his mind was more inclined and chose targets like Lily.

"Yes, of course, we can get closer," Ace felt happy in his heart. At least he wouldn't be alone without a friend; with Lily around, he could chat and enjoy himself.

Lily thought about Ace's words. She was genuinely happy, and her heart was filled with butterflies. It meant that Ace was willing to accept her as a friend or even more. But she didn't know what tomorrow would bring.

Ace smiled broadly. This was truly unexpected!

It turned out that the metallic voice wealth system had many surprises when he had spent the money given earlier. And now, he would receive money again. All of this was because of Lily's involvement.

Ace fell silent, agreeing in his mind. 'But did I spend the money for myself?' He wondered.

In a clothing store, Lily urged Ace not to wear the yellow Cleaning Service uniform anymore.

"Ace, I'll help you choose the right clothes. Don't wear that uniform when you're not working as a Cleaning Service anymore. You don't know about good fashion," Lily browsed through neatly hung clothes. She inspected the patterns and colors.

Ace remained silent, watching Lily's enthusiasm in choosing clothes for him.

Then Lily picked up a light brown shirt and dark brown trousers. 

"This one, the color is nice. It's my favorite color. Come on, try these clothes in the fitting room. Is that okay? You can be honest if they're too big or small," Lily handed the shirt and trousers to Ace. She walked ahead and showed him the fitting room where Ace would try them on.

Lily waited; after a while, Ace came out and smiled broadly.

"These fit me perfectly, Lily," Ace said happily.

"Okay, let's go to the cashier. And pay for your clothes," Lily led Ace to the cashier counter.

As the cashier scanned the prices, Lily was about to pay.

Ace stopped Lily's hand. "Let me pay. Thank you for choosing nice clothes for me," Ace took out his bank card. He handed it to the cashier and swiped it in the credit card machine.

The cashier said, "The total is $1500," she wrapped Ace's shirt and trousers in a paper bag, folding it neatly and handing it to Ace.

Lily was shocked. It turned out that Ace could still afford to pay for his clothes even though the amount wasn't as much as it was at the mall earlier. "Wow, Ace. You can pay for your own clothes. I was willing to pay for them," Lily admired Ace. Ace was truly a cool guy.

"You will look handsome in them, Ace," Lily praised. Ace was indeed handsome; he just looked a bit tired and sweaty, but it didn't matter because Ace was a hardworking and diligent man.

Ace realized that he had spent quite a bit of money today. First, the silver bag for Lily, then useful items in the mall totaling 20,000 units, and finally, he bought clothes in a famous store.

'Was I showing off? Haha, if I was, it would be pretty cool. Oh well, I've never been this happy,' Ace spoke in his mind.

And Lily had spent some of her money when she paid for the silver bag from Ace.

'Even though you bought me the silver bag, the money is still not enough. I'm proud of you, Ace. It's okay; I spent $200,000 just for the silver bag to shut Agatha up and stop underestimating you,' that's what Lily said in her mind
