Chapter 3

Lily smiled. "I didn't buy the bag, but Ace suddenly bought me a silver bag. Well, instead of refusing the gift, I better accept it. I appreciate Ace's gesture," Lily took the tote bag offered by the female salesperson after she finished wrapping the silver bag.

"And the accusation of me cheating is not true. In fact, since we broke up, you chose Nathan. It's pretty clear that you were the one cheating," Ace replied to Agatha's words, not feeling afraid because he was right and had never betrayed Agatha.

"Do you have to be wealthy to go to the mall?" Ace looked at Agatha; his ex-girlfriend was surprised to see him at the mall. Agatha must have thought that he couldn't afford to buy anything in the mall.

"You're arrogant, Ace. How could you possibly have any money? Especially after being fired by Nathan, my beloved boyfriend," Agatha smiled, feeling triumphant. She caressed Nathan's face to show her affection to Ace.

"It's none of your business where I go. This is my own freedom," Ace gritted his teeth, his neck veins bulging. He didn't like being underestimated, and even the Nathan he once thought was a kind boss who accepted him willingly turned out to be influenced by Agatha.

"As for money, if I suddenly became a millionaire, do you believe it, Agatha? Nathan?" Ace looked at the two alternately. Ace chuckled.

"What are you talking about? Come on, Ace, I'm sure it's not your money. It's Lily's money," Agatha retorted, not pleased. Even though Ace had become a sudden millionaire, she didn't believe he had landed a high-paying job like Nathan. Ace was still unemployed and had just been fired.

"Well, it's quite funny. The proof is that I paid $380,000 with my own bank card, a card in my name, Ace Anderson," Ace raised his chin, feeling proud to prove that he hadn't always been down and out and that there was a time for him to rise.

[AMAZING! YOU DARED TO BUY AN EXPENSIVE BAG WITHOUT HESITATION.]

[YOUR CURRENT INVOLVEMENT SCORE IS -25 PERCENT.]

The metallic voice of the wealth system echoed in Ace's mind.

Ace's heart grew happier; even though the numbers were small, the wealth system praised his quick decision-making ability. He hadn't even thought of buying the silver bag, even though he had initially wanted to buy the most expensive watch.

"Hey, Cleaning Service. Your salary at my company wasn't that much," Nathan rubbed his chin, scanning Ace, who was still wearing the bright yellow Cleaning Service uniform.

"You also have a younger brother named Andrean. Call your brother; I want to know when you became wealthy. If you're rich now, it's only fair that you at least buy expensive items," Nathan defended herself and silenced Ace's high-flying words. It was impossible for Ace to become a millionaire in such a short time. He knew Ace's personal data, his family, and his financial situation. As a boss, he had complete information about Ace.

"You don't even know expensive things, Ace! Hahaha, do you know? Ace has never been to the mall. He can't choose expensive items," Agatha laughed at Ace. During their relationship, Ace had never taken her on a shopping date to the mall, only to suburban parks, which bored her.

Nathan nodded. "Yes, his salary was meager, dear. Maybe the $70 he had left from his last paycheck is already gone," Nathan laughed until he almost choked.

"If he's rich, he should at least buy this. The most expensive watch. You know, dear? It costs $10 million," Nathan showed off his elegant and charming black watch.

Ace shook his head. "I can't afford the watch you're talking about."

"Miss!" Ace approached the female salesperson from earlier. "Please call your store assistant," he said loudly enough for Nathan and Agatha to hear.

This unexpected action surprised Agatha and Nathan, as well as Lily.

Lily grinned, "Wow, what kind of performance is this? My goodness, Ace's wallet is really thick. Haha, a wallet within a bank card," she laughed, feeling proud of Ace. The man was not easily shaken, even when underestimated by Agatha and Nathan.

The salesperson raised an eyebrow, "For what, sir?"

"Instruct your store assistant to pack anything available in this mall," Ace replied, crossing one leg and leaning his chin against the glass display.

Since the debate began, some passing visitors became curious and stopped to witness what was happening.

"Wow, that woman is really foolish to throw away a rich man like him."

"I never thought she was so wealthy."

"And she's wearing a Cleaning Service uniform."

"Ah, I can't believe it. She must be bragging and talking nonsense."

The handbag store assistant, who was cleaning the glass display with a feather duster, was startled when she heard Ace's voice.

She stood up and gracefully adjusted her hair behind her ear, blinking charmingly to display her beauty. She cleared her throat. "Hello, Sir. What do you mean by packing anything? But I don't know what items you're referring to."

"Pack anything. However, useful items like clothing, food, and whatever you consider useful. I'm willing to pay for it, whatever the cost," Ace's voice trailed off as he argued with Agatha and silenced his ex-girlfriend's insults, leaving him slightly drained.

The store assistant nodded, "Very well, sir. Please wait a moment as we gather useful items according to your wishes," she signaled to the salespeople from other stores to assist her.

"Come on! Hurry up!" She impatiently shouted.

They dispersed, catching Agatha and Nathan's attention.

"Do you want to prove it, Ace? Whatever he takes from this mall will cost a lot of money. Be careful, Ace; your money won't be enough. You'll be embarrassed," Nathan smirked, teasing Ace. The former Cleaning Service employee didn't want to lose and wanted to win in Agatha's eyes.

"Do you know what he's going to buy?"

"Ace will probably buy a lot of things! Maybe he'll buy all the useful items in this mall."

"Hmm... but it's true, if he can't afford to pay the total, he'll be embarrassed."

Agatha's face was sweating. 'Now everyone is waiting for Ace's proof. What if Ace pays for everything?' Her mind was anxious, her heart not at ease. She bit her lower lip, awaiting the arrival of the store assistants who had been instructed by the bag store assistant. Who knew how many items they would bring.

Three minutes later, the wait was over. Seven store assistants returned, pushing trolleys, with more assistants behind them helping carry the items.

The store assistant rushed over to Ace, her lips forming a wide, cheerful smile. "Sir, these are all the useful items. However, only half of the food has been cooked by the kitchen staff at each food stall in the mall," she conveyed enthusiastically.

Ace took out his bank card from the pocket of his Cleaning Service uniform.

"How many items?" Ace asked calmly, feeling light and not objecting to paying for it all. Let Agatha and Nathan know that he was truly a millionaire, but not by revealing the source of his millions from a metallic-voiced wealth system in his mind.

"20,000 units of items, Sir," the store assistant nodded. The line of trolleys extending behind made her unable to stop smiling. With this, she and the other mall employees would receive substantial salaries.

The store assistant accepted the bank card Ace provided. "Please wait a moment, sir," she quickly processed Ace's payment by swiping the credit card through the machine.

"Sir! Thank you for shopping here!"

"You look handsome, Sir!"

"Keep up the spirit, Sir! Never give up!"

"I love you, Sir!"

Praises and playful greetings from the attractive store attendants.

"Thank you for making purchases at our mall's stores," the store assistant handed Ace his bank card. She bowed as a sign of respect to Ace. He was no ordinary man to buy any useful items like this.

"You're welcome," Ace smiled broadly, leaving Agatha and Nathan silent and unable to say anything. Nathan's pride in displaying his expensive watch was nothing compared to Ace's choice of items.

Ace walked to the center, where everyone gathered, awaiting his words.

"All of you, take the clothes you need. As far as I know, the selected clothes here include those for adults, teenagers, children, school uniforms, and even baby clothes. Take them! And it's all free! I've already paid for you!"

"As for the food, take what you need. Share it with people on the streets, those in need, or your neighbors," Ace's voice echoed loudly in the silence, and then everyone cheered and scrambled to grab clothes and food.
