CHAPTER 023

Kendrick and his entourage were on their way back when Stelcy's phone rang, she inspected the screen and picked it, her earbuds fixed tightly to her ears.

"Hello Stelcy" A male voice blared from the phone, it was her father. He had not seen her in a long time and decided to call.

"Hey Dad, nice to hear from you," Stelcy replied calmly.

"Not nice Stlecy, how on earth would you keep delaying till a moment like this?... You are taking all the time, and I. ..I don't think you know that time is of the essence."

Stelcy's heart sank immediately when her father mentioned that to her, she had been trying to avoid this discussion for a very long time and here he was, talking about it when she was sitting close to Kendrick.

"Dad!... I'm aware of it all, but how's everyone at home?" She asked, trying to divert the discussion from what it is, so as not to look suspicious to Kendrick.

"Can you stop asking about everyone and tell me when you'll do what I've always told you to do? This is the
