CHAPTER 186.

Kendrick felt the shift in the atmosphere as he hurriedly changed into more casual attire, a clear sign he had no formal engagements or important meetings on his agenda. He grabbed his car keys and stepped out of his room.

In the living room, Kendrick was on a phone call, a means of preventing his father from interrogating him. His father could only watch silently as Kendrick exited the house.

Outside, Xavier moved quickly toward Kendrick. “Boss, are we heading out?” he asked, taking a stance with his feet apart.

Kendrick paused, surveying his surroundings before giving a slight nod.

“Understood, sir,” Xavier replied, turning towards the garage to prepare the vehicles.

He nearly collided with Brown, the driver, who was busy polishing and admiring the fleet. “Boss is leaving now,” Xavier announced, handing Brown the key to the car Kendrick had chosen.

“Oh, I thought he had just come home. Doesn’t he need a break?” Brown wondered aloud as he climbed into the red Bentley Cedar.
