Globalsphere Conglomerate

The two foolish men who thought it would surely be one of them brightened their faces until their grandmother beckoned the mysterious young man standing at their backs. It was only then they got full recognition of him.

He was a young man dressed in a faded purple T-shirt and trousers. His brown hair, although neatly curled, lacked the glow it ought to have had. His grey eyes, pointed nose, and V-shaped face. Ultimately, he was a fine man, but that was the least of their worries.

“Don’t get it twisted. How is it possible for me to make you head of a great conglomerate when I just caught you doing an abnormal act?  If it were so, the conglomerate wouldn't last a month in your hands. Therefore, this man here will be the new head. Why am I telling you this?” The Chairwoman Elizabeth, suddenly added and quickly turned to her right-hand man, Steve, and snapped her fingers, laying down orders.

“Take the young man to the designated apartment to be dressed appropriately for the upcoming ceremony. Be quick!” She snapped and instantly, Steve with some other servants walked out of the living room, leaving the Chairwoman and her perplexed grandsons.

“What is happening, grandmother? Who is he? We need to know what is going on?” Garrett Arnault, the first grandson, demanded. The scale had fallen off his face. This was a horrible day. The one that came with a nightmare and twist of events.

But the Chairwoman who was unbelievably relaxed, replied without batting an eyelash.

“What else do you wish to know, Garrett? Do I need to inform you of everything? I have spoken, and there is no turning back.” She voiced out, tapping her feet impatiently.

Even before she appeared at the Munchies Café that afternoon, she had already informed the board of directors in the conglomerate about the forthcoming event that would lead to a new head emerging. So then, she didn't want to keep them waiting by discussing with her grandsons, who would do anything to blackmail her.

“How could you do this to us, grandmother? We are your legitimate grandsons. That man looks like an outcast. He looks like someone you just picked from the bush or something. Is he even related to us?” Garrett continued asking his grandmother, whose mind was on the young man who left a while ago.

For sure, she heard his traumatic statements, but she was unperturbed. Her demeanor was indifferent with a blank look, and that bothered the young men the most because they thought their grandmother was bewitched.

“As far as I can remember, some years back, I entrusted a particular company into your hands. But was the outcome of it, you all messed it up. You swindled all the company funds and lavished the money on women countless times. I sent my warnings, I begged, but it fell on deaf ears. What made you think I warned you? It is because I thought that perhaps if you changed, I would then make you head of the conglomerate. I needed competent people, irrespective of whom they are!” The Chairwoman hollered in great indignation, and they all shuddered because her words were true.

If anything, the Chairwoman was the most forbearing person they'd ever known. She endured all their misbehaviors and was kind enough to make them rulers of certain businesses. Indeed, she sent them warnings, but they kept on with their misdeeds and never gave her listening ears. Little did they know that the Chairwoman had a surprise for them. A very shocking one that made them utterly astonished.

And that was thwarting their dreams of becoming heads of the great conglomerate.

After the Chairwoman had uttered these statements, the two young men sealed their lips because they were guilty. Soon, Sean Zachary returned with Steve and the servants. At this time, he was clothed in an elegant outfit that awed the onlookers. Aside from that, his outward appearance also transformed dramatically. His black curly hair glowed and his eyebrows that were once rough were nicely shaved. His handsomeness was overwhelming.

The Chairwoman Elizabeth, arose and waited for the young man, Sean, to be closer before speaking.

“You don't look bad. I am surprised at the total transformation. It's time for us to leave. Get your emotions in check. Do not get flustered about anything or pay attention to side talks. This is meant for you.” The Chairwoman advised Sean, who was greatly uncomfortable under her grandsons’ pained gazes.

It was obvious that they had the urge to rip him off, especially the one with brown hair, who was the oldest grandson, Garrett Arnault. If it wasn’t for the Chairwoman who was with them, he would have pushed Sean to the wall and punched the hell out of him.

But then, he chose to keep calm because he had other plans in mind. Together with the rest of them, Sean Zachary walked out of the Arnault Mansion for his investiture ceremony.

The ride to Globalsphere conglomerate was a long one that was engulfed with silence. Sean Zachary had trouble believing that he would soon be made the head of Globalsphere conglomerate. He rubbed his sweaty hands continuously and exhaled repeatedly. This could only happen in his wildest dreams. If anyone had told him that his life would transform within the twinkle of an eye, he would have called it false.

But this was happening before his very eyes. However, the recurring question at the back of his mind was why the Chairwoman had chosen him over her grandsons. He was aware of their misbehaviors, yet he didn't think that was enough reason for her action.

“Kindly step out, Sir.”Steve stood at the side and waited for him to step down, and thereafter, they caught up with others. In all honesty, the headquarters of the Globalsphere conglomerate was attractive and beautiful in all ramifications. The brightening flowers and the huge structure that stood in the form of a skyscraper made the company to be worth staring at.

When they had entered the first hall, which was mostly occupied by the numerous receptionists, a handful of men dressed in dark suits who were already standing by their right sides, welcomed them warmly with pleasantries.
