Rescuer

Miss Eloise walked through the dimly lit corridor of the school's underground dungeon. The only source of light came from the small windows near the ceiling, which allowed a faint glimmer of sunlight to penetrate the darkness. The walls were made of rough stone, and the air was chilly and damp.

She carried a tray of food, which consisted of a sandwich, an apple, and a small leather skin that contained water, a stopper made of cork was used on it to prevent spillage.

As she made her way down the corridor, her thoughts were consumed with worry for Lance. She didn't know if he had indeed stolen the forbidden objects or if he was innocent and had been wrongly accused. Her mind had been in turmoil after she had tried to read Lance's thoughts, but she had felt nothing.

When she reached Lance's cell, she found him sitting on his bed, staring off into space. "Hello, Lance," she greeted him softly. "I brought you some food from the cafeteria."

Lance looked up at her with a sullen expression.
