006 -

Upon entering the shop, he gets the same reaction as the girl at food outlet earlier. At least, the sales girl in this shop doesn't immediately cast him away.

“Excuse me! Are you lost?”

“No, I want to purchase a motorbike,” replies Jimmy.

The girl looks so unenthusiastic, before she looks to another direction, to another sales girl with yellow hair, looking pretty like a flight attendance.

“Amy! Could you come here for a moment and do something for this guy here?”

That girl simply takes her leave, even without making sure that one sales girl named Amy really comes to Jimmy.

In the meantime, Jimmy has to endure his annoyance for being ignored while that Amy girl is busy with her phone. It stays like that, at least until Jimmy confronts her.

“Yes?” Amy asks coldly.

Jimmy sighs by showing his unenthusiastic face. “Look! I came here to buy, and don’t you judge me based on my slightly torn dirty T-shirt. I just got into an accident, and I want to get back home with a bike I’m going to buy here.

“Heh! Whatever?” The sales girl sneers with an uninterested gesture. “As long as you have the money. So, which one do you want to buy?”

Jimmy takes a glance, and simply chooses the nearest one to him. “What about that one?”

“That one?” Amy asks with a clown face. “That’s a bike with 1833cc six-cylinder engine, with 8-speed DCT transmission. It’s not only about performance, but also its elegance, only the rich usually buy that luxury touring bike. Do you even have the money?”

“How much?” Jimmy asks coldly.

Annoyed by Jimmy’s confidence, the sales girl phrases the price so slowly, word by word, so clearly for each number.

“$57,246.89, before tax!”

“Not much! You don’t have to exaggerate it,” says Jimmy, taking his attention away as he starts examining the motorbike a bit more intense.

The girl’s brows twitch, clearly looking offended by Jimmy’s response. She has worked for this shop for almost two years, but this is the first time for her to see a dirty pauper confidently observing a luxury touring motorbike there.

“Do you accept cash?” asks Jimmy.

“We do,” replies the girl.

“I need a plastic bag!”

“Plastic bag for what?” Amy’s face is frowned because of Jimmy’s random request.

“I need to withdraw my money first,” Jimmy explains briefly.

“You can use your credit card here,” the girl offers.

“I can’t,” Jimmy denies.

The sales girl looks confused and curious. In the end, she tells Jimmy to wait, before taking her leave with an annoyed face, grumbling by restraining her voice.

Soon, she comes back to Jimmy with a black plastic bag. However, right before Jimmy receives the plastic bag...

“Hold on!” She pulls back the plastic bag, and squints suspiciously at Jimmy. “Don't tell me you came here just to ask for this plastic bag, for free, because you can't afford it.”

Jimmy takes out a piece of $100, gives it to the girl before snatching the plastic bag from her, and then walks out.

“Hold that $100 as collateral for your plastic bag. I won’t take long!”

Knowing how risky it would be for him carrying a plastic bag full of cash, Jimmy doesn’t intend going too far from that dealer shop.

He simply goes to an alley right next to the shop, waits for the place to be quiet first, and then withdraws some money from his balance.

Some stacks of cash appear in the air and then drop. Jimmy puts them into the plastic bag in haste. He keeps glancing around with so much alertness, not wanting to be noticed by anyone.

Not long after, the sales girl sees Jimmy return with the black plastic bag already looking so full. Of course that confuses her. Jimmy returns too soon.

“What else?” she asks curtly.

“Here! Make it quick!” says Jimmy as he puts the bag on the table right in front the sales girl.

The girl examines the bag content, and shuts silent. She starts counting the money, but stops prematurely.

Jimmy actually exchanged 70 gold coins for $ 62,554.80. He only put $58k in that bag, and keeps the rest for his further needs.

“There’s 58 thousand in that plastic bag! Is it enough?” Jimmy asks.

The sales girl is completely at a loss for words. She still believes Jimmy is just a pauper based on his slightly torn dirty white t-shirt. But she can’t simply deny some stacks of cash in her hands anymore.

And after a few moments of silent…

“Um, did you bring your ID card?” she asks, her attitude slightly improved.

“ID card? For what?” asks Jimmy.

“You are buying a luxury touring bike, not just a dozen of chicken eggs,” says the sales girl.

The sales girl receives the ID card from Jimmy and takes a brief look. There she learns that Jimmy is two years younger than her.

“Are you still in school or college?” she asks.

“Third year in Summerfield High School,” replies Jimmy briefly.

Somehow, the girl looks a bit disappointed to know that Jimmy is still a high school teenager.

“What’s wrong?” asks Jimmy.

“Nothing,” replies the girl as she walks away. “Please, wait here! It will take a while.”

She goes to a certain office, and starts making a little ruckus with a few other sales girls.

It takes them quite a while to take care of all the legal documents for ownership of the motorbike. And during that time, the sales girl keeps talking about Jimmy with her friends.

“Amy! Who is he?”

“A high school teenager from Summerfield.”

“And he came here to buy that luxury touring bike? With that kind of outfit?”

“Don’t let his appearance fool you! I bet he must come from a rich family.”
