Chapter 6: An Offering To Be System Warrior

Narukha didn't know how to answer. His heart was torn between his doubts and his goal of coming to the Dimensional Portal.

Remember how many people had to die due to lack of food distribution, Narukha was confused. Can Narukha trust Carl? Is accepting the offer to become a System Warrior troop is the right decision?

Or, Narukha just refuse the offer?

"How?" he asked.

"I'm sure it won't be that easy for someone to get an offer or an invitation to become a System Warrior," Narukha replied, looking at Carl doubtfully.

Carl chuckled, his eyes narrowing. "It's not easy. Isn't this offer a great opportunity for you?"

"I find it impossible for you to make that offer just because I want to save the lives of the people in the evacuation."

"Because we let them die? Oh, come on, Narukha. You have to understand that not all areas can be reached by our troops. Food distribution is limited because we also have to provide food distribution to other evacuation areas."

Narukha raised her eyebrows as a demonic smile widened.

"Then why is there so much food here?" asked Narukha. "Is eighty out of one hundred percent of food distributionb owned by the elite?

"I don't know why you hate the upper class so deeply. But, Narukha, you have to look at the wider reality.

"Here the upper class contributes quite a lot for their survival. So, of course they have to get food rations that are commensurate with their fees.

"Is it inequality? No, it is a matter of profit. We also need money for food distribution. If there is no money from them, those of you who living in refugee camps will surely starve to death sooner."

Narukha almost wanted to believe Carl. But after hearing Carl's words, Narukha's confidence suddenly wavered.

"Even if they have food, they still die because you distribute it too late," said Narukha, emphasizing his sharp words.

Carl curved a satisfied smile at Narukha's words.

"So the people in the evacuation have no choice of survival. Their choice is a quick death or delayed death," continued Narukha.

Carl's laughter immediately broke off. Sounded very satisfied, more satisfied than ever.

The more Carl laughed loudly, the more furious Narukha became. Since the beginning of their conversation, Narukha had guessed that Carl must be someone with the highest authority.

Not just being the one with the highest power. Narukha already realized that Carl also had low empathy and was selfish.

There's not the slightest bit of guilt in Carl's eyes. The discussion about the death of residents in the evacuation made Carl interested.

'So, how to deal with someone with a disposition like Carl...' Narukha thought for a moment, but was delayed for a moment.

"You really are the type of person who can only blame others, huh?" Carl asked, sneering back.

Narukha was confused. "Why can you judge me like that?"

"Come to your senses. Since earlier you only mentioned the deaths of the refugees, and then brought the System Warriors and the Dimensional Portal citizens to be the cause of their deaths.

I offer you an attractive offer. Why are you running around in circles on the same thing?"

A crooked smile from Narukha curved. Narukha begins to feel that Carl is deliberately turning the situation around so that he is the one in the wrong. Of course, his character is didn't want to be blamed.

"Ah, you're right. I didn't realize I was doing it," Narukha replied. "Since you've made the offer, tell me what's interesting if I accept?"

"I already told you. You can save the citizens in the evacuation."

"And being the highest level to be able to kill you?" Narukha spoke quickly.

'...challenge him,' continued Narukha's inner words.

With a slightly downturned face, Narukha's psychopathic eyes radiate as he looks at the screen. Narukha widened her devilish smile.

Unfortunately Carl is not afraid. Narukha's words provoked even greater interest than the look in his eyes.

"That is an impossibility," argued Carl. "In life, you should know there is such a thing as the top ladder."

"And you are the top ladder?" Narukha asked sarcastically.

Carl shrugged his shoulders with an arrogant sneer. "It will be difficult to touch me. Even now you meet me through the screen."

'I'm going to kill you, bastard,' thought Narukha.

"Come on! You're not going to refuse an interest offering from me, aren't you?"

Instantly the atmosphere changed, the tension melted. Narukha considered for a few moments.

"I feel weird. Why am I the only one who has to save the refugee residents?" asked Narukha. "Then what about the System Warrior troops? You? You guys aren't going to working?"

"We're working. But we can't cover all areas quickly, you idiot."

Narukha raised her eyebrows because she was attracted by the nickname 'idiot'.

"Ah, that's the wrong question, the better question is... do you care about the deaths of the residents in the evacuation?" Narukha quipped again.

Carl unconsciously gritted his teeth. His voice sounded in Narukha's ear until Narukha's crooked smile curved back.

Narukha silently waited to see how Carl would react.

"You can come on site to get a feel for how the rescue went."

"So, only for the reason of saving the refugee residents?" said Narukha confidently.

"You don't even care if they die or not, now offering this with the excuse of wanting to save the refugees?" Narukha continued his speech.

Carl's eyebrows knit together. "What's your other excuse?"

"To climb the top ladder and kill you," said Narukha.

Carl laughed again. "Fine. Just try if you can. Make sure you aren't going to die, because you have no one to bury you."

"Then I must and will die with you, so I'm not alone," Narukha replied expressionlessly.

Soon Carl's hand looks stretched out as if to turn off the switch. The blue screen display screen returned to the homepage where there was only the Dimensional Portal building logo.

Shortly thereafter a system sound was heard. Like an echo in Narukha's head.

[YOUR PHONE CALL ENDED. OUR SYSTEM WILL RETURN TO HOMEPAGE. PRESS THE RED BUTTON IF YOU NEED REST MODE]

Narukha grinned as he covered his ears. He still couldn't get ready every time the system's voice sounded.

After five seconds, Narukha realized something when he looked at herself. He forgot something.

"HEY! WON'T YOU WANT TO UNLOCK MY BODY Cuffs?!"

Narukha jerked his arms, legs and chest to stomach.

Damn it!
