A little later that evening, Aamon was in his hotel room tallying up the amount of gold he still had stored away in his vault. At this point, Aamon was in a difficult position because he needed to decide whether he should make a move that would only put his neck in danger of being slashed by Hoxfur's blade, or whether he should just let the situation continue so that Hoxfur could completely cut through his neck. It was large enough to cover them up but too stinky that the two of them nearly puked. As Aamon watched, his hands began to shake as he was confronted with the image of Hoxfur behaving in such a reckless manner. In point of fact, he did not want her to die at all, and the prospect of her passing away in such a manner was not something that he considered to be particularly appealing.A large amount of blood had already been lost by Hoxfur, and Aamon could not simply stand by and watch her fade away in such a manner. Aamon just had this overwhelming sense that he was solely to blame for everything that had transpired with them both. If he could remember things correctly, he would have been able to recall that they were on their way to leave the area.
