CHAPTER FORTY SIX.

After he got home, Alex went straight to the wine rack and poured himself a glass of whisky before going over to his balcony. The thoughts of his fight with Clarrisa was still lingering on his mind but he didn’t want to care, she was the one who felt insecure about things her father did and he was not even supposed to feel bad in the first place, she was not worth it.

The sky was filled with so much stars and his lips unknowingly curled into a smile when he realized that his two sisters loved to seat on this same balcony to enjoy the night sky. How their chatters and giggles would filter into his ears but right now, he had no one by his side. All the people around him was by his side because of Alex and by the time he was done, they were no longer going to be my his side and that’s the biggest reality of all.

His thoughts were interrupted when the phone inside his pocket began to buzz and he picked it up without bothering to look at the caller ID.

“Hello”

“Boss” Bruno’s voice filtered
