A snitch

The person who had made that comment was Ansel. He hadn't expected the young teenage girl to eavesdrop on their conversation.

He cursed the girl silently in his heart.

Everyone turned their heads to look at the young man who was bold enough to do so.

They cast skeptical glances at Ansel, their doubt about his belonging to the occasion obvious. Dressed in unassuming, plain clothing, he appeared to be out of place among the high society guests who surrounded him.

Bob was already marching towards him, nothing was going to stop him from humiliating Ansel this time.

"So, you think it's okay to talk about me behind my back, do you?" Bob's voice was dangerous. "You must be a real coward if you're too scared to say it to my face. Or maybe you're just jealous that I'm bigger than you, huh?" His arms remained crossed, and his eyes bore into Ansel, daring him to respond. "If you were man enough, you'd have told me what you thought right to my face."
