Principal Oberon Collymore massaged his temples as he mulled over at his desk in his office.
Duncan Hillside High School had been a heavy load to carry and manage as the principal, but he had to do it nevertheless. His brows furrowed, as he chewed the temple tip of his recommended glasses in his palm and put them on his back. He glanced through the list of aced students he had planned to award soon. He stumbled across Axel's name and nodded his head. He heard about the news and he had so much hope for Axel, but felt bad that he had to be expelled. He knew he couldn't undermine the command that Elias gave as a senior member of the board, and he had to comply. He felt contrite about the fact that he was the one who gave the expulsion verdict. He gritted his teeth, as he mulled over how Axel must have felt all this while. He was known to be very friendly and sympathetic towards the students, too bad his powers and authority were limited when it came to issues that the full board were involved in. He knew he felt whittled of authority that day and winced away, feeling abashed after he made the verdict. So far, Axel had done nothing but made the school proud with all his success in all ramifications and yet this diabolical state befell him. He quickly recalled that he had a meeting to host soon and he briskly got some paperwork ready. He was bewildered about how he would move out freely within the school premises because he wasn't sure that the shame he felt would be abated in any way. He attempted to call his secretary, Dahlia Blair before he got a call. He was startled when he checked the caller that read, Birch Sallow. He knew he was Ottiline's manager, and that Ottiline was the mother of Mateo who was the owner of the school in the first place... Ten Years Ago Oberon waggled into Mateo's office to perform a curtsy bow. He had been waiting patiently for Mateo who was scarce from being present at the school. A new principal was needed to manage affairs at the school while Mateo continued to manage the other extension of his businesses. His heart was pounding against his ribcages so loudly that he could feel the blood thrumming in her ears. He had done his interview even though it wasn't directly through Mateo because it was through Birch, his manager. Birch had accompanied Mateo and they both sat down while he stood. "You can have your seat, Oberon," Mateo's voice was audible and calm when he spoke. Damp sweat trickled down his skin till it landed on his jaw as he finally sat down after behaving in a knowtow manner before Mateo. "So, we have examined your interview and we can say you are an aced candidate to sit on the principal seat of Duncan's Hillside High School," Mateo announced with elation. Oberon felt on cloud nine. A huge smile emitted across his face as he tried to suppress his emotions as if leaping up and down for joy. It had always been his dream to become the principal and when he had served as a teacher for years, he had been sceptical to apply for the role of principal when he was called upon to do so. "Thanks, boss. I'm so grateful for this opportunity and I promise that I won't let you down," His eyes popped open in excitement. "Ooh, sure. No problem, I believe in you, and that's why I chose you, so no need to worry about anything," Mateo's amicable gaze lingered upon Oberon. "I need to attend a meeting in my other establishment," Oberon stood up to get ready to leave... Present Day "Ooh, Manager Birch.." Oberon stuttered out of regard for Birch and the entire Bonneville. "Ooh, Oberon I am just calling to inform you that our young master would be living in the school hostel and he should get the best of everything as a student," Birch's voice reverberated through the phone. "Ooh," Oberon stuttered, dumbfounded, because he knew that Mateo was the boss and he was late and there was no young master since they didn't talk about any child at all when they were running things. "Yes, he was lost and now found and he is indeed the lost heir and should be treated well," Birch explained. "Ooh! So, when did he come? I mean, I didn't hear about his arrival. Please, forgive my manners," Oberon implored. "Ooh, today, he was expelled today and returned today," Birch explained succinctly. Birch was appalled. He knew that it might be inexplicable to explain how a lost heir of the Bonneville family could be expelled from the school in the first place. According to him, those who had been expelled unlawfully were being picked on by those like Elias who influenced members of the board. "He is Axel Dankworth, as his foster surname but now Axel Bonneville since his identity has been revealed," Birch explained. "Ooh, my goodness!" Oberon stuttered as he used his hands to stifle a shriek. "Yes, his identity must not be revealed but also, he mustn't be treated as a lowly student," Birch caveated. "Alright, I understand," Oberon nodded in non-repugnance. "So if you still love your job as the principal, you would ensure that he is protected no matter what happens," Birch added before he cut the call. Oberon's jaw dropped as his eyes popped and flung open in amazement. He couldn't fathom what he had just heard. Indeed he had committed a great crime, by allowing Axel to go through all that he went through without curbing it. Indeed, Axel was the son of Mateo all this while, which meant he had the highest authority even over Elias's own. In a blur of shock, Drew, Quinn and Charmaine came in to report the incident ongoing in the school. "Principal Oberon, Axel has just returned to the school and is being assaulted by the hardy Boyz again," Drew gritted his teeth as he complained bitterly.Oberon jolted at his desk as he heaved a shuddering grunt. "What! How? When!" He barked succinctly. Drew nodded his head succinctly. "Yes, principal. We had just departed from him after we exchanged greetings when the news got to us and we had to report to you before we took the next step," Drew added. Oberon's knees became like rubber as he whimpered in distress. His hands quivered as he heaved a heavy breath. "Where is this happening?" He spoke succinctly. "At the school field," Drew, Quinn and Charmaine said in unison. Oberon waltzed out of his office immediately towards the school field with a plethora of anxious thoughts flushing through his mind. Drew, Quin and Charmaine followed after briskly because they knew this time they must stand against the hardy Boyz in a polemic manner. Oberon waltzed into the school field in a panicky manner. Even though his job as the principal of the school was threatened, he knew that wasn't the cure reason why he would love to do Birch's bi
A state of anxiety rippled through the air as everyone wondered who Axel was to Oberon and why Oberon would take his side. Axel's Pals, Drew, Quinn and Charmaine waggled close to him to comfort him because of what he had gone through. He was indeed in a mess. Oberon's eyes glittered with sadistic emotions. He couldn't believe that he might have partially failed in his task, as Axel was still assaulted and everything went tit-up. Oberon's head cringed as he waggled contritely towards Axel's side. "I'm sorry, I didn't know who you were, but now I do," He said in a very hush and hoarse voice. Axel's friends were dumbfounded and felt bewildered that Oberon was trying to hoodwink Axel into thinking he was supporting him over Hayden and his guys. Axel understood and chuckled inwardly as a sly grin appeared on his face. He knew he had to be subtle if he still wanted to shield his identity even from his closest friends. "Drew, Quinn and Charmaine, you can leave now," He flashed a perf
Axel was scoffed at because he looked so unkempt and scraggy. It was supposed to be Gertrude's history class and everyone was in anticipation of his arrival. He frowned deeply and inwardly where he sat. His best pals weren't present in class because of an impromptu group meeting outside history they had to attend and they took excuses. He would have had someone to talk to, to feel less bad. His palms pressed hard against his chest as he wished that the cacophony and fracas could end in a second. The jest made lumps grow in his throat which made him feel uncomfortable. It got to a time when his cheek burned in anger when he couldn't take it anymore and bobbed his eyes shut. Hayden and Ryan alongside the hardy Boyz stormed into the class. Axel's eyes twitched because he felt bad. The corner of his lips fell towards the floor. He was prudent enough to hide such emotions. Even though he was the emotional type, he was very confident in himself that he would be able to get over her
Gertrude waggled into the classroom with a scowl on his face. He knew that Hayden and his pals were up to some unscrupulous acts again which he strongly detests. His presence caused the cacophony to halt succinctly. He honed in towards Hayden with his intense eyes as the whole class got ready for the lecture. Drew, Quinn and Charmaine returned and waltzed into the class from the meeting they had in the group. Hayden's lips stuck out playfully because he knew the mischief he had created. Gertrude seethed through clenched teeth and hissed with disgust as he flipped open his textbook to start with the class. His tone was laced with coldness as he skimmed through on revision of what they did in the last class. When he was done with the class, he waltzed out in a caveating manner to Hayden and the rest of the hardy Boyz... Axel was gleeful to return home, then towards the hospital to inform his foster mom about everything that had happened. Oaklynn growled with exasperation after A
Charmaine lips quivered and she had no choice but to stutter with her words. "What's that..." She shuddered. Her stomach flipped and her eyes became more flickering as she blushed. "I think I do care about you more than a friend. I do like you, and I want us to be more intimate than we have already been," Axel pronounced making her feel a thrill in her heart as he shot a piercing gaze at Charmaine which made her jaw drop. "Ooh, okay," Charmaine said and they stopped dancing and she shot a desiring look at Axel also. She knew that Axel had a sparkle in his eyes that intrigued her. "I do like and care about you also at first, but I wasn't sure you were ready for a relationship and that's why I didn't bother telling you," Charmaine summoned boldness to express her feelings effusively. "Wow?" Axel stuttered, his tone laced with astonishment and his ears perked up in delight. "Yes," Charmane replied gazing deeply into Axel's eyes and Axel, like a love predator before his prey gave he
"Who would dare suspend you?!" A wave of fury rippled through Elias as he clenched his fist in rage. "Principal Oberon of course! Dad and I do not understand what's going on," Hayden croaked out bitterly. "Then it must be a misunderstanding. Just one phone call and everything would be in order," Elias rumbled, perturbed at what he was being told. "I just hope, because I am just wondering why that puny little turd of a young man, Axel who was a new student would be favoured over me in a case," Hayden grimaced as he exited to his room. Elias's wife, Rita came in afterwards from the kitchen in a concerned mood. "I heard Hayden's voice. Don't tell me he is at it again, him and his unscrupulous acts once again?" Rita let out a low puff. "Come on, shouldn't Hayden be given the regard he deserves as being our son? Now that good-for-nothing, Principal Oberon is threatening to suspend him," Elias yipped under his lungs. "All am saying is you shouldn't support him yet when you haven't hea
Charmaine felt her stomach clenched at the presence of Ryan and pondered about the main reason why she wanted to see her. "Wouldn't you speak? Or weren't you the one who wanted to see me?" Charmaine said impatiently. "Hmm, I can see that you and Axel are finally a thing. I knew it was right to suspect that you both had something for each other even right while we were still dating," Ryan croaked out with her hands around her waist. Charmaine was startled and shot up from the chair in astonishment. "You are so delusional to believe that Axel would cheat on you. Even if we had some sort of feelings for each other while you both dated, it still didn't change the fact that you cheated first simply because of money," Charmane yipped. Ryan let out painful laughter and massaged her temples to tame her temper for the time being. "Yes, isn't that true? You think I don't know that even though I and Axel are now a couple, you still have feelings for Axel, but you quickly changed to date Hay
A tug of relief etched in Elias's heart as he sat on one of the lounges and balanced himself to speak. "Son, there is no need to worry, because you won't be suspended anymore," Elias rasped and coughed slightly. "Honestly, am supposed to be excited about this, but still I can only help but be relieved because that idiot, Axel still walks as if he owns the school," Hayden scowled. "Come on son, after all, you are still in the school, so there is absolutely nothing you should worry about," Elias let out a low puff. "Hmm, this is interesting. So in other words, Hayden was guilty but got off from this and wasn't suspended?" Rita said as she waltzed into their presence in curiosity. "Come on Mom, you can't possibly be taking the side of someone you haven't even yet seen," Hayden snapped. "I know you, son," Rita retorted and faced Elias. "Dear, don't you think we need to have a talk with our son about these unscrupulous acts of his at school? I mean everyone knows how big of a bully he
