Gavin walked into a seedy alley. The lighting was dim. Gavin could vaguely see the walls of the house being scribbled on. He smelled so bad that he wanted to vomit. He also had to struggle to walk when he was in a very narrow alley. In fact, Gavin had to tilt his body in order to walk. Motorcycles or bicycles couldn't enter the access road here.
"Where are you? Do you want to play a prank on me?" Gavin scolded when the phone connected to Soraya. He'd been following the Maps directions, but he hadn't gotten there yet.
"I'm right in front of you."
Gavin hung up the phone as soon as his eyes caught sight of Soraya. He rushed over to Soraya. She invited him to talk to her in a rundown and old house. However, inside it was truly extraordinary. It was cozy and clean.
"This is your place?" asked Gavin. His eyes scanned every corner of the room. He stared in amazement at the neatly arranged books and files.
"The safest place. I had to send you here because I was on the lam," Soraya said too honestly. "I already know what's in your head anyway."
Gavin chuckled. "So, what information did you give me?" asked Gavin as he sat on the minimalist sofa. His eyes stared intently at Soraya. Gavin already knew that Soraya was wanted by the Holden family because she managed to destroy Jack Holden to his roots. That's why Gavin decided to keep Soraya on his side. Maybe until she died.
Soraya picked up her laptop and started messing around, she showed Gavin the CCTV footage. It was clear that Euginia had been severely tortured. In fact, she was hit on the head with a broom handle. Not only that, Euginia often gets terrible terror. So that made the woman scream in fear.
Gavin's eyes were sharp. "Do you know who's behind all this?"
"The Eagle Clan," Soraya said. She took a cigarette, lit the match and took a slow drag. "I got this the hard way. They'll delete the CCTV footage after torturing Ms. Euginia."
Gavin called Robert. He told him all about his mother's torture. This of course angered Robert. Gavin also asked Robert's confidants to join his mission. Gavin would organize everything carefully. He knew that the Eagle clan was very dangerous.
Tonight, Gavin and Soraya went the extra mile. They both researched the Eagle clan through a website. The clan was always on the move. They are hitmen and are also often hired as spies.
"I'll contact Jeffry," Gavin concluded as he stared at the laptop screen with information on the Eagle clan.
"Gav," Soraya called as if calling her own friend. Perhaps she was used to working with her employer.
Gavin's cheeky smile grew. He nodded his head. "You're always reliable."

In the morning, Gavin returned to the Alexavier residence. Just entering the main door, there was already Hazel who greeted him with a dismissive and triumphant smile.
"Ah, the corrupt are back. How was your day, it must have been tough, right?" Hazel shook her bangs. She smiled slyly. "Ah. I thought you'd fall into poverty. It turns out your father is still willing to help with the trash."
"Hazel!" said Beatrice in a slightly raised tone. "He's also our son." Beatrice's gaze fell on Gavin. She had a gentle look in her eyes and a beautiful smile. "Come on, retire to your room. I'll ask the maid to bring you breakfast."
Gavin wanted to laugh out loud. No one really cared about him here, including Beatrice. The old woman would make Gavin her puppet. Pressuring Gavin to keep doing the job Dean was supposed to be doing. Her good behavior was just to cover up her rottenness.
Before entering his room, Gavin intended to see his sister. However, it seemed that Kiana had already left for her terpai, the proof was that she was not in the room. Yesterday, Kiana had told Gavin that she could walk. Although it was only one or two steps, it was a good achievement according to Gavin. All thanks to Kiana's strong determination to get well again.
Gavin's eyes traced the decor of Kiana's room, which was filled with purple items. Everything had not changed, even the teddy bear he had given her fifteen years ago was still neatly displayed near Kiana's study table.
"Get well soon, Ki," Gavin said before closing the door to the whitewashed room. He stepped into his room across from Kiana's.
"Gavin."
Just as he was about to open the door to his room, Caesar approached Gavin. The man's sturdy stride still looked manly. There were just a few tired streaks on his face.
"Come with me now."
***
This is where Gavin is. Caesar's office. Gavin had been in this room several times. Instead of being called in for praise or something, he would get a free spout from Caesar.
"Why are you like this?" Caesar's eyes looked so disappointed. He rubbed his face roughly. "You know what? I wanted to make you stronger than them, but you ruined it. Dad .... disappointed in you, Gav."
Gavin clenched his hands into fists. His breathing was ragged with emotion.
Gavin felt that his father had never loved him. The old man only cared about his wealthy assets and the glory of the company. The child was just a tool for the old man.
"I didn't do that heinous thing at all!" Gavin insisted. He gave Caesar a sharp look that made him flinch. "It could have been Dean's brother, or it could have been Ed Franklin. They're both too greedy!"
Plak.
Gavin felt numbness on his right cheek. He chuckled softly. For a split second Gavin laughed hollowly. His eyes turned hateful. In Caesar's eyes, Gavin was always wrong. What he did would look wrong even if Gavin didn't do it at all.
"You're ...." Gavin pointed his index finger at Caesar's face. "Never loved the three of us at all. Dean is the only one you always put first. So what about me and Kiana? Neither of us has ever gotten a compliment or a hug from you."
Gavin tried to suppress his emotions. He lowered his hand and turned his gaze towards the window that was still closed by the curtains. Gavin had always wanted to feel his father's warm embrace. It's just that he never felt it. Caesar was always ambitious to make Gavin and Kiana what he wanted them to be. But he never prioritized them. Only Dean, Ed, and Jasmine. The three of them always came first.
"Have you ever visited mom?"
Caesar was rendered helpless. He was always helpless when it came to Euginia. His young wife whom he had forgotten. Not without reason, Caesar was protecting his wife.
"Dad, mom is looking forward to seeing you even though she knows you're an asshole." Gavin emphasized the last word in his sentence.
Gavin stood up and walked away. Before closing the door to Caesar's room, he said, "I'll take Mom and Kiana away. They need to be in the right place."
As the door closed, Gavin heard the loud sound of things being thrown.
Gavin would take care of everything one by one. In the meantime, Gavin would take his mother and Kiana to Robert's house. Everything would go smoothly if Caesar allowed Gavin to take them.
"So, you've given up. You suck!"
Gavin turned his body around. He stared intently at Hazel. She was playing with her hair. She patted Gavin's shoulder as soon as the two of them touched each other. The pat seemed to say that today, she was the winner.
"Family trash," Hazel whispered.
Gavin wanted to slam his stepmother. To sadistically kill Hazel and hang her head from the gate. However, he had to resist his crazy thoughts desperately. Hazel was not an easy opponent. There was William who was the protector of the mad demon.
Two days ago, Gavin, Kiana, and Euginia had moved into Robert's home. The middle-aged man welcomed the trio with joy. Robert had also hired two doctors, specifically to take care of Euginia and Kiana.Tonight they ate together. There was warmth between them even though Euginia was silent and occasionally she would stare at the people around her. However, they didn't mind. Gavin smiled when he saw Robert gazing longingly at his mother. Gavin knew very well that Robert and Euginia's relationship was not going well. Euginia, who chose to go with Caesar even without Robert's blessing, made him angry and reluctant to see Euginia. Although Euginia has tried to make their relationship better, it is very difficult. Now Gavin knows that Robert actually loves Euginia. It's just that the disappointment still hasn't died out."If it hadn't been for that bastard Caesar a long time ago, I would've taken my daughter from that damned place," Robert cursed. He looked at Gavin with a meaningful smile.
Gavin dragged Louis to the dungeon in Robert's residence. The man looked resigned as if he had no hope of living. His entire body was covered in bruises. Blood oozed onto his clothes. The fishy smell was so strong.Louis sat weakly. His hands were handcuffed. The man's head was bowed down. Occasionally he chuckled as Gavin hit him."I won't let you die easily. You have to feel what my mom and sister felt!"Gavin gripped Louis' chin firmly. Euginia's image screamed in terror when Louis came in terror and also when he tortured her mother. Gavin felt sick and angry at the same time."Louis," Gavin called in a low, threatening voice. He had a mysterious smirk on his lips. "We're the same, aren't we? Being unwanted children and even called trash. Even though we tried so hard."Gavin held Louis' shoulders. The look in his eyes became gentle. "Have you ever thought about getting back at your father? Come on, let's do it together," Gavin said with conviction. He gave hope and comfort at the sa
Gavin stood stiffly staring at the VVIP room. He tried to regulate his breathing and clear his mind. Once inside. Beatrice and Hazel were already sitting on either side of Caesar. The two women were trying to get Caesar's attention. However, it didn't work at all. Caesar stared boredly at both of them. However, when he noticed Gavin's presence, the old man gave him a genuine smile and a longing gaze. Suddenly, this angered Hazel. The woman clucked and glared."I thought you didn't remember family," Hazel said. One eyebrow raised in a dismissive smile. "I thought you wouldn't be successful. It's also great that you were able to get Mr. Park Ha-Neul and Mr. Andreas .... You fox!"Gavin clenched his hands into fists. Hazel was really annoying. Maybe it was because she had power. So, she could have her way with words. Gavin's annoyed face turned into a normal one. He spread a sweet smile as if he was meeting a harmonious family."How are you, Dad?" asked Gavin with a smile as warm as the
There is no sad destiny in this world. Everything depends on our choices. However, sometimes what we choose is not necessarily right. Just like Euginia. She regrets all her choices. If time could be turned around, then she would go with the person she loves. That's the summary of Euginia's notebook that Gavin found a few days ago. He never knew that his mother had bigger problems than this. Gavin only knew that his mother pursued love and left his father, Robert. However, it turned out that Euginia's love was not for the man who was currently Gavin's father, Caesar Alexavier."Damn it!"Gavin hit the table hard. The veins of his neck stood out, showing that he was currently overcome with anger. The man's eyes glanced at the ringing cell phone. There was an incoming call from an unknown number. He let the call end on its own. Then, there was an incoming message.'Gavin. It's Lyodra.'Gavin repeatedly caught his breath. He was not happy about his older sister returning to this country.
Two hours ago, Gavin met with Park Ha-Neul and Andreas Maverick. The three of them had just shared the profits from an elite housing development business. At the meeting, Andreas left first so Gavin and Park Ha-Neul could chat casually. The two of them initially chatted about business. However, their conversation went off the rails when Park Ha-Neul asked something that shook Gavin."Your mother was my first love," Park Ha-Neul said. His eyes stared straight into the cold cup of black coffee. The corners of his lips twitched. He seemed to be remembering the past."I knew it," Gavin said. "He really loved you enough to sacrifice himself."Park Ha-Neul looked up. The two of them stared at each other. The man's hand rubbed his face roughly. Then, he told her about his failed love story. At that time, they were still university students. The love story of the two of them was so famous with thick romance. People always envied Euginia's figure. However, somehow everything changed. Euginia s
This morning Gavin was still relaxing on the balcony of the room. He looked so handsome even though he was only wearing a white t-shirt combined with cloth shorts. He was sitting on a chair while focusing on the laptop on the mini round table. Occasionally, his forehead wrinkled to show confusion. His hand reached for the glass of black coffee that had begun to cool. His sharp eyes gazed up at the morning sky. Slowly his lips were drawn upwards to form a knotted smile line. Her eyeballs twinkled as she admired the beauty of the morning sky. However, the gentle gaze and charming smile disappeared instantly, replaced by a cold, hateful stare.Gavin remembered an hour ago. When he had just woken up, Caesar's secretary had called him. Requesting that Gavin pay a visit to Alexavier's residence. Caesar is currently ill. The man's heart disease had returned and he needed intensive care."What a hassle," Gavin muttered as he put on his black suit.Gavin hurried out of his room. He didn't have
It wasn't Gavin's first time driving recklessly. The man pressed the horn repeatedly when a vehicle blocked his path. It was not uncommon for drivers to yell expletives at Gavin. At the moment, Gavin was in a tizzy. His mind is filled with Kiana, his little sister. Five minutes ago, one of his men informed him that Kiana had been in a single accident. The taxi she was traveling in had crashed into concrete, allegedly because the driver was sleepy.Arriving at the hospital, Gavin ran like a maniac. He was looking for Kiana's hospital room. Time and time again, Gavin almost ran into people passing by. Gavin even accidentally pushed a man his own age, causing him to fall and almost hit his head on a trash can.Once in front of Kiana's door, Gavin barged straight in. He almost lost his balance if he didn't hold on to the side of the bed.In front of him Kiana was closing her eyes. Her head was wrapped in a white cloth. There were abrasions on her arms and face.Gavin's hand reached out to
Tonight seemed so quiet, there were only a few four-wheeled vehicles crossing the road. Maybe it's because of BMKG's prediction that there will be a snowstorm tonight. People are encouraged to stay at home. However, this was not the case for Gavin Halsley. He was determined to drive to the mental hospital. One of the doctors informed him that his mother was very ill. In fact, she would be referred to a hospital in the city center.Along the way, worry haunted Gavin. He was afraid that his dream would come true. About his mother passing away right on his birthday."Ah. Shit!" Gavin cursed as his car almost hit the road divider. His hands trembled holding the steering wheel. He repeatedly adjusted his breathing to get better.Gavin's cell phone rang loudly. There was an incoming call from his late father's first wife, Beatrice. He immediately picked up the call and plugged it into his bluetooth headset.'Gavin. Where are you? The director of Taesan wants to see you. He's going to discus
