Chapter 5

"I am still undergoing treatment so I won't be able to come with you to the company tomorrow.

But I have already prepared someone that will be waiting for you already." Mr. Ford said.

Elvis acknowledged his words with a sudden nod and went ahead to say with a forced smile.

"Have all the rest that you need, Father. I am going to take care of your company from now on and I am going to give it my best." Elvis added.

There was a smile on his father's face as he spoke the words to him.

"You have always been a brilliant kid since you were young. I am sure that you will be able to pull this off." Mr. Ford acknowledged.

Elvis knew that it was already time for him to leave already. He was served the best food that could only be gotten from the Villa, but he could hardly finish his meal.

He had a fresh bath and by the next morning, it was time to leave. The doctor had already told him that he could not always bother his parents and from what he had gotten from the maids, they were still fast asleep.

Afterward, he was given the pair of suits that had been specially prepared for him.

But it turned out that they weren't his size, he had to make do with his previous clothings that had gathered dust over the years of hardship on the street.

Sipping in a really deep breath, Elvis gradually made his way out of the house.

Elvis drove himself to the company but drew a pause a few points away from the place, using his legs to walk afterward.

The gates were already widely open and he could not help but marvel at the beautiful sight of the gates that lay before him.

Laced with linens of gold and silver. The company had met with really great turns since the last time that he remembered.

But as Elvis continued to walk, he noticed a really strange sight right before him. One that made the cold expression on his face go deeper even.

It was Dustin, walking with Sonia right in his hands. Immediately Sonia laid her eyes on him, her face made a swift twitch into anger.

For Dustin, a cold smirk was dangling on his face as he didn't know what was going to him.

Finally, they got over to each other, and for a while, none of them was ready to spew out another word from their mouth.

"Are you so obsessed with me that you have to start searching for me? Wait, do you think that I am going to listen to your wild appeals?"

Sophia scoffed with a trace of amusement in her voice.

"Well, too bad for me. It's already over between us and besides, the divorce agreement already has your name on it." Sonia added once again.

A chuckle expressed his sorrows and clouded his anger that clouded his emotions.

"Obsessed?"

"You want me to go back to my punk?" He finally added.

"You?" Sonia's hands were already stretched angrily towards him, wanting to rip him apart into two halves.

But before she could get to fulfill her wish, Dustin already stopped her.

"Leave me alone Dustin let me treat this fool a lesson that he is not going to forget in a long while." She growled.

"Do you want to waste all our efforts? After everything that we have gone through to get this cooperation?" He finally said.

"You should listen to him." Elvis expressed coldly.

These words brought a sudden calm to Sonia's raging body as she braised herself up.

"Count this as one of those of your Lucky days." She glared at her with so much hate and anger in her voice.

"I don't think that the reason is to see you." Dustin finally revealed but that got Sonia even more confused than she was already as she went ahead to say.

"Then if he isn't here for that, what other reason would he be here?" She inquired swiftly wanting to know more.

"He was sacked from his previous job. Of course, he is here to beg for a job and nothing other than that." Dustin could not withhold his shrill laughter, letting them out almost immediately

"Well then, he should start heading back already cause nobody is going to take you in."

"And what makes you think so?" Elvis inquired with a calm expression on his face.

Immediately he spat out the words from his mouth, he burst out into swift laughter almost immediately and Sonia could not hold hers back either.

"Are you serious?" Dustin laughed so hard that a drop of tear escaped from his mouth.

Finally, there was a sudden pause as he went further to say.

"Just take a really good look at yourself. Aren't you a big fool to think that everyone in that company is going to take you in?

This guy has the biggest delusion that I have ever seen all my life. What more is going on in that head of yours." Dustin mocked turning over towards Sonia as she finally added.

"Maybe he thinks that soon he is going to be the owner of the company? The grand heir?" Sonia added finally.

"Just maybe. And you will be the one working as a cleaner instead?" He added but that only made the both of them burst out into laughter.

Immediately he spat out the words from his mouth, and everyone in the room burst out swiftly into laughter.

"Even if the world is to come to an end. The both of us know that isn't possible?" He finally said.

"You are struggling to get a project that you transformed yourself into a con artist to outsmart the opposition. Your company is standing on one foot so why do you think that you can't become a cleaner one of these days."

The words made Dustin pause almost immediately as the words struck him right in his core.

The truth that was just spoken was more like a stick in his heart, making him glow and clutch his hands in fury.

"Is that a threat?" Dustin inquired swiftly.

"Let's consider it more like a bet," Elvis added.

He was fuming with so much anger, gasping for breath even though his bloodstream was the only system in his face let's see what you are going to look like in three months," Dustin growled but the words only made Elvis chuckle.

"I don't think that it's going to take that long." He added, plugging Dustin into even more fury.

Dustin's phone made a beeping sound and he knew that it was time for him to leave already.

Staring right into Elvis's eyes, he growled and went ahead to say.

"Make your words today, 'cause I am going to remind you of them and make sure that you pay for your carelessness." He finalized, walking away from the place with the stamping foot.

Elvis watched as Dustin and his ex walked away and muttered on his breath.

"I guess you are the one that would be doing the marking this time." Elvis's hands were clenched tightly.

Elvis walked ahead gradually into the company but as he was about to walk through the gate, someone crossed his hands over the door.

"And where do you think that you are going to?" A glare was above me.

"Let me see. I am not going to roast corn. Neither am I going to bank bread." There was a really cold stare on his face.

The guard continued to stare at him with a thick frown on his face.

"You are going to get a job aren't you?" Oh let me see. That of a cleaner right?" The guard said with a tint of mockery written all over his voice.

But Elvis could not tell exactly the point that he was heading to.

"Pardon?" Elvis farrowed but it only made the guard even more angry than he was already. But even at this, Elvis was still able to keep his cold calm.

"Cut off the crap man. Do you think that I don't know who you are? The man whose face is all over the media for licking the company's secret?" The guard blurted out.

"And you still have the guts to come here? Have you no shame?" He thundered almost immediately, his voice laced with so much anger.
