Chapter 6

Elvis could already feel anger rising badly but he drew a really deep breath in an attempt to control his anger.

"And what makes you think that I am guilty as accused?" Elvis could not help inquire, staring right into the eyes of guards.

"Because even without being told. I already know that you are guilty." He spat making Elvis's eyebrows meet with a quick farrowed.

Before going forward to speak, he shot a swift glance at Elvis, taking every single note of him from his head to his toe and the frown hanging initially on his face deepened even more.

He scoffed.

"I mean, just take a really good look at yourself. You are too bad to be true." The guard mocked.

"Your clothes look like they haven't been changed in years nor have they been deepened in water for a long time." He mocked Elvis.

His hands were already clutched but Elvis was still doing a great job in controlling his rising anger.

"Well, too bad to disappoint you but I am not here to get a job neither was I guilty of any charge." He responded.

But even though his words were not funny, the security guard at the gate could not help but burst out into laughter swiftly.

"Then why don't you tell me the reason that you are here?" His ears seemed way too eager to hear the reason that he was there.

"Best bet. To beg for food since you lost your job." The guard made a tapping sound with his tongue, muttering under his breath but loud enough for Elvis to hear.

"You wonder when your class of persons is going to realize that not every company with a rising building is a charity organization you know."

Elvis in turn drew a really deep breath before going ahead with what he just wanted to say.

"I'm here to see one Ms. Precious." His father had not revealed the identity of the person that he was going to be seeing.

The air around them went slower and a still silence engulfed the place.

The security officer's face twisted into a swift frown almost immediately, wishing that he could rip Elvis who was standing right before him into pieces.

"How dare you?" He growled furiously.

"How dare you sprout out the name of the manager from those filthy lips of yours?" The guard thundered at him.

"And you even have to lie about having an appointment with her? I have had enough of your lies. You have to leave right this minute." He thundered at Elvis.

But from the looks that were hanging on Elvis's face, he wasn't ready to move away, even for a single moment.

This got the security officer even more pissed off than he was already.

"Aren't you the one that I am talking to or have you gone deaf already?" He thundered angrily at Elvis.

"While the rant continued, there was a sudden buzz in the place. A new Porsche made its way gradually into the vicinity, and a Strong scent followed suit that made heads turn towards the other direction.

"Who could that person be?' There were whispers on the lips of everyone that were around the area.

A man in a classic and shining suit stormed out of the car. He was a man of average facial features but his wealth gave him extra heights.

Gradually making his way towards the security officer, his face was already all smiles, to welcome the billionaire.

"Are you in charge here?" He spoke almost silently, his words were enough to melt a frozen heart.

The guard nodded his head swiftly in a childish manner getting Elvis extremely irritated.

"That's great. I would love to see the manager, I have very pressing business issues to discuss with her." He made plain his intentions.

The face of the security officer quickly parted into a smile as he opened his mouth to say.

"Sure sir. We are always grateful to welcome you here." He finally said, parting the door open for the billionaire to walk on.

It was more like a stab right through his heart as Elvis witnessed the event that unfolded right before him.

He could not control his anger anymore, letting it out with so much force that was enough to throw the security officer off balance.

"I came here before him, why would I be allowed to go in?"

"Because he is not here to beg or pull the company down." He responded.

Elvis was already tired, wanting to leave the place and return to his father but he decided that he was going to use his last resort.

His father had given him a gate pass before he left the house. He brought the pass swiftly out of his pocket, pasting it over the face of the guard.

"I told you that I have an opportunity with the manager, do you believe me now?" He blurted out, still trying to keep his cool.

The guard snatched the papers off from his hands, dividing them into shreds.

"And you think that I am going to fall for that? If you aren't ready to leave, then I will have to make you go myself." He glared.

He moved towards a walkie-talkie, wanting to place a call across to the armed security Officers but before he could get to do this, he heard a swift sound of footsteps from behind that made him pause almost immediately.

Turning around swiftly towards the source of the sound, Elvis was shocked to realize that it was the security carrying away the billionaire who had approached him.

And standing right behind them was Ms. Precious and she had a thick frown of disapproval on her face.

"Richard. How many times have I warned you to check all the passes correctly before letting anyone into my office?" She thundered, making every single part of his body shiver even harder.

"I'm sorry ma'am, I thought that he was?"

"You thought?" Ms. Precious thundered almost immediately.

"Your thoughts are more important than the orders that you are given now?" She could not help but inquire.

Richard already knew that it was not going to be any good, going forward he explained himself.

With his head bowed, he went ahead to apologize to her. "I'm sorry sir." She went ahead to apologize.

"And I told you already. We are expecting the heir. Please keep an eye on and be on your best behavior." There was a firm look on her face as he nodded his head.

"I will always do that sir."

Ms. Precious was about to turn around to leave when something on the floor caught her attention.

"And talking about best behavior. Why is this place so dirty?" She thundered angrily.

The guard shivered even harder as he tried to make out words to explain how they got there.

"There was this punk that was trying to gain his way into the company through a fake pass but I was able to get him quickly. I got him chased already." There was a smile of victory on his face as he spoke.

But the sleek texture of the paper caught Ms. Precious's attention. There was only one place where those could be found.

"Could it be that?" The thoughts were about to cross through her mind but she threw them away swiftly.

"No! It can't be!" She thought in her head.

But she knew that she needed to clear her head off from any suspicion. She drew down to the floor almost immediately and picked up the papers.

But immediately her hands met with it, it seemed to send eclectic shockwaves through her spine and her heart was only pounding

faintly.

The security officer could see the change changer demeanor and thought that it was because of Elvis.

"Are you alright ma'am? You don't have to worry about.." His words flooded off from his ears as he rose swiftly from the floor.

Placing the piece of paper into perfect order, she was hit by the hard truth that lay before it.

"It was the pass that came right from Mr. Ford."

She shivered from the cold chills that went down her spine. Her eyes flickered with fear and confusion as she turned around towards the security.

"Tell me, where is the man that came with this pass?" Her eyes bulged out from her eyes sockets as she yelled her lungs out.
