Elvis could already feel anger rising badly but he drew a really deep breath in an attempt to control his anger.
"And what makes you think that I am guilty as accused?" Elvis could not help inquire, staring right into the eyes of guards."Because even without being told. I already know that you are guilty." He spat making Elvis's eyebrows meet with a quick farrowed. Before going forward to speak, he shot a swift glance at Elvis, taking every single note of him from his head to his toe and the frown hanging initially on his face deepened even more.He scoffed."I mean, just take a really good look at yourself. You are too bad to be true." The guard mocked."Your clothes look like they haven't been changed in years nor have they been deepened in water for a long time." He mocked Elvis. His hands were already clutched but Elvis was still doing a great job in controlling his rising anger."Well, too bad to disappoint you but I am not here to get a job neither was I guilty of any charge." He responded. But even though his words were not funny, the security guard at the gate could not help but burst out into laughter swiftly."Then why don't you tell me the reason that you are here?" His ears seemed way too eager to hear the reason that he was there."Best bet. To beg for food since you lost your job." The guard made a tapping sound with his tongue, muttering under his breath but loud enough for Elvis to hear."You wonder when your class of persons is going to realize that not every company with a rising building is a charity organization you know."Elvis in turn drew a really deep breath before going ahead with what he just wanted to say."I'm here to see one Ms. Precious." His father had not revealed the identity of the person that he was going to be seeing. The air around them went slower and a still silence engulfed the place. The security officer's face twisted into a swift frown almost immediately, wishing that he could rip Elvis who was standing right before him into pieces."How dare you?" He growled furiously."How dare you sprout out the name of the manager from those filthy lips of yours?" The guard thundered at him."And you even have to lie about having an appointment with her? I have had enough of your lies. You have to leave right this minute." He thundered at Elvis. But from the looks that were hanging on Elvis's face, he wasn't ready to move away, even for a single moment. This got the security officer even more pissed off than he was already."Aren't you the one that I am talking to or have you gone deaf already?" He thundered angrily at Elvis."While the rant continued, there was a sudden buzz in the place. A new Porsche made its way gradually into the vicinity, and a Strong scent followed suit that made heads turn towards the other direction."Who could that person be?' There were whispers on the lips of everyone that were around the area.A man in a classic and shining suit stormed out of the car. He was a man of average facial features but his wealth gave him extra heights.Gradually making his way towards the security officer, his face was already all smiles, to welcome the billionaire."Are you in charge here?" He spoke almost silently, his words were enough to melt a frozen heart. The guard nodded his head swiftly in a childish manner getting Elvis extremely irritated."That's great. I would love to see the manager, I have very pressing business issues to discuss with her." He made plain his intentions. The face of the security officer quickly parted into a smile as he opened his mouth to say."Sure sir. We are always grateful to welcome you here." He finally said, parting the door open for the billionaire to walk on.It was more like a stab right through his heart as Elvis witnessed the event that unfolded right before him.He could not control his anger anymore, letting it out with so much force that was enough to throw the security officer off balance."I came here before him, why would I be allowed to go in?""Because he is not here to beg or pull the company down." He responded.Elvis was already tired, wanting to leave the place and return to his father but he decided that he was going to use his last resort. His father had given him a gate pass before he left the house. He brought the pass swiftly out of his pocket, pasting it over the face of the guard."I told you that I have an opportunity with the manager, do you believe me now?" He blurted out, still trying to keep his cool. The guard snatched the papers off from his hands, dividing them into shreds."And you think that I am going to fall for that? If you aren't ready to leave, then I will have to make you go myself." He glared. He moved towards a walkie-talkie, wanting to place a call across to the armed security Officers but before he could get to do this, he heard a swift sound of footsteps from behind that made him pause almost immediately.Turning around swiftly towards the source of the sound, Elvis was shocked to realize that it was the security carrying away the billionaire who had approached him.And standing right behind them was Ms. Precious and she had a thick frown of disapproval on her face."Richard. How many times have I warned you to check all the passes correctly before letting anyone into my office?" She thundered, making every single part of his body shiver even harder."I'm sorry ma'am, I thought that he was?""You thought?" Ms. Precious thundered almost immediately."Your thoughts are more important than the orders that you are given now?" She could not help but inquire.Richard already knew that it was not going to be any good, going forward he explained himself. With his head bowed, he went ahead to apologize to her. "I'm sorry sir." She went ahead to apologize."And I told you already. We are expecting the heir. Please keep an eye on and be on your best behavior." There was a firm look on her face as he nodded his head."I will always do that sir."Ms. Precious was about to turn around to leave when something on the floor caught her attention."And talking about best behavior. Why is this place so dirty?" She thundered angrily. The guard shivered even harder as he tried to make out words to explain how they got there."There was this punk that was trying to gain his way into the company through a fake pass but I was able to get him quickly. I got him chased already." There was a smile of victory on his face as he spoke. But the sleek texture of the paper caught Ms. Precious's attention. There was only one place where those could be found."Could it be that?" The thoughts were about to cross through her mind but she threw them away swiftly."No! It can't be!" She thought in her head. But she knew that she needed to clear her head off from any suspicion. She drew down to the floor almost immediately and picked up the papers. But immediately her hands met with it, it seemed to send eclectic shockwaves through her spine and her heart was only poundingfaintly. The security officer could see the change changer demeanor and thought that it was because of Elvis."Are you alright ma'am? You don't have to worry about.." His words flooded off from his ears as he rose swiftly from the floor.Placing the piece of paper into perfect order, she was hit by the hard truth that lay before it."It was the pass that came right from Mr. Ford."She shivered from the cold chills that went down her spine. Her eyes flickered with fear and confusion as she turned around towards the security."Tell me, where is the man that came with this pass?" Her eyes bulged out from her eyes sockets as she yelled her lungs out."Have you gone deaf or something? I said "answer me right this minute." Ms. Precious thundered at once again. His facial expression was clouded with so much confusion, trying to figure out what was going on in his head. But the more that he thought about it, the more confused."I sent him away?" He replied like someone with a stutter."And which way did he go?" Ms. Precious fired at him once again. For a while, he could not get himself to say any further words and he didn't register the exact route that he had used in his head."I don't remember ma'am." He responded with a sorry look on his face."You will be sorry for this when I eventually return." She stormed off from the place swiftly, stamping her foot on the floor. After a while, she realizes that it would be easier for Richard to recognize Elvis since they meant recently and she was only shown pictures of him from previous years.Turning around towards the guard, she lashed out at him."Get before me bastard and don't make me r
Elvis and Ms. Precious go back to the office where he is taken round the company by Ms. Precious who shows him everywhere."And this is your office," she said as she opened the last office, revealing an extravagant room. Elvis looked around in surprise, this was the biggest office he had seen since he was shown around. "It used to be your father's, Mr. Ford's office. But now that you have become the new President, it now belongs to you," she explained. He walked over to the President's seat and sat on it, he slowly felt the softness of the chair. He sighed weakly, then closed his eyes. "And what may I address you as?" He suddenly asked. Ms. Precious smiled, then replied, "Ms. Precious, your secretary and guardian as instructed by your father," Elvis nodded in satisfaction. He slowly opened his eyes and sat straight."Send the company's documents to me," He said, dismissing her with a wave of his hand. Without a word she left the office.Elvis sat up from the chair, he went over
For the next few minutes, Silas and Elvis were struggling on who was going to retain the documents. Thinking it was the same Elvis from high school he molested each day, Silas didn't giun until Elvis pushed him aside then he fell on the floor with a thud. Smirking, he rose, dusting his butt with his gaze fixed on him. "I didn't mean to push you that hard. You would have just stopped when I asked you to." Elvis scowled. People were loitering about but no one gave them any attention. "Get into the elevator." Silas snapped. "Why? I'm already on my way out." He replied, trying to brush past him but Silas grabbed his arm then pulled him into the elevator. Still wearing his evil smirk, he grabbed Elvis by the cuff of his shirt. Gritting his teeth in anger, he yelled, "What has come over you?" "I already told you. I'm sorry, okay. I didn't mean to hurt you." He mumbled, gasping for breath. Instead of letting him go, Silas tightened his grip on the cuff watching Elvis eyes water as he
When Ms. Precious returned to the office, she was surprised to still see Elvis seated with his legs across the other. "You said you wouldn't be here when I return." She said, flopping on her seat. "I changed my mind. Do you have a problem with that?" He asked, raising his brow at her. "Not at all." She replied, chuckling softly. After a brief silence, she cleared her throat to get his attention and when she did, she pushed her hair behind her ears. "Aren't you going to tell me what happened? Your neck is still reddened. Who tried to kill you?" She asked, her face masked with worry. As if that was not enough, she left her seat then went to his side, "Tell me, it's time we involve the police because the next time the perpetrator will kill you." She said, "I don't think so." He said, chuckling as the discomfort Silas would probably be facing at the moment. "It's not funny. Please tell me what happened so in case your father asks I will have an answer to give him." She said, towerin
Sarah flipped her hair to a side with a broad smile on her face. She knew Elvis had seen her and so she wanted him to be aware she had seen him too. "Mister, your direction." The cab man said, breaking the uncomfortable silence in the car. "Is she your passenger too?" He asked, nodding at Sarah. "Of course I am. Am I posing a threat to you?" She asked with a light chuckle."I'm sorry, I will pass." Elvis said hurriedly and even before the cab man could say a word, he had stuttered out of the car. Clenching his fists, he began to walk down the road with a scowl on his face. The least person he wanted to see was Sarah but there she was — smiling back at him. "I should have looked properly before boarding." He snapped, fist pumping the air. "Hey, be careful. Do you want to hit me?" Sarah asked, jolting Elvis in the process and making him stop on his track. Frowning, he swirled in her direction, "Why?" He asked with a large scowl. "What are you talking about?" "You ought to be in
Elvis sighed in frustration as the shop owner raked him from his head to his feet. He knew exactly what the shop owner was thinking and the more time he spent looking back at him, the more he became angry. "Please leave, I don't haggle prices here." The shop owner finally said. "What are you talking about?" Elvis asked, pretending to be unaware of what he was driving at. "Since you are dumb, I will explain to you just once." He paused then continued. "In this shop, all clothings and accessories are of fixed prices. We don't haggle prices for whatever reasons." The man replied. "I wasn't trying to haggle prices with you.""Then…" "I want you to package everything I have selected and then I will pay for each item." He explained. Throwing his head backwards, the shop owner burst into an annoying laughter causing a lone tear to escape from Elvis eyes. When the customers enquired on why the shop owner was laughing, he was quick to tell them and they began to make jest of him. "Ever
Smirking, Elvis dug his hand into his hair then began to tug on it. Dustin's company was the least of his choices for emerging winner but it turns out he won, beating other competitors by a large margin. "Sir… are you still there?" Ms. precious asked, she had suspended her activity, awaiting response from his end but he wasn't replying. "Yeah." He muttered, biting the corner of his lips as he racked his brain on what to do. "When should I announce the result of the nomination? You are the president and whatever you ask me to do, I will." She added. Ms. Precious added her last sentence, thinking he was finding it hard to come up with a decision because of his father. "Mr. Ford wouldn't know about this." She said, seconds later when he still didn't say anything. Elvis couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle since he found her words amusing. "You know what… just suspend the announcement until a week later. I need to take some things into consideration." He said, still chuckling. "
Elvis repeated his request several times but the cops won't hear him out. They kept pushing him into the interrogation room despite his protest. When they finally succeeded, he lowered himself on a chair and Detective Artemis walked in, flinging a brown envelope in his hand. "Did you tell him his charges?" He asked the cop who had clasped his wrists with a cuff earlier. "I did." He replied. "But I didn't hear. I even asked him to repeat his words but he wouldn't budge. Bet me, when I get out of here, I'm going to make sure you all spend a week behind bars." He threatened. The cops around including Detective Artemis burst into a mocking laughter while Elvis looked at them with an embarrassed look. He knew exactly what they were thinking. "Really? You can't even afford a good meal not to talk about clothings but here you are claiming you are going to put us behind bars… I will call that vivid imagination." Detective Artemis said, erupting in another bout of laughter. "Fine. I wan
