By nightfall, every door was shut to the Odias. They no longer had a single ally left in the city. When they woke the next morning, the government arrived with soldiers to enforce the eviction order.

The Odias begged, pleaded, and cried, clinging desperately to the pillars of their mansion as the guards dragged them out like criminals.

“This is our home! You can’t do this!” Luther bellowed, gripping the marble doorway as soldiers pried him loose.

“We built this empire!” Monica wailed, clawing at the ground. “You can’t just throw us out!”

Rhea was hysterical. “Wait! Wait! Call Mr. Manchester! He’ll fix this! He’ll vouch for me! I’m his mistress!”

The guards ignored her. One soldier sneered, “Get out quietly, or we’ll drag you out.”

As they were forcibly pulled from the mansion, the skies opened, and rain poured down, drenching the once-proud family in cold water. The city they once thrived had turned its back on them. They were nobodies now.
