Chapter One Hundred & Twenty-Four

"Fuck." The detective grunted under his breath.

The detective stared at Natalie, who sat across from him in the interrogation room. He sighed, frustrated by her refusal to cooperate.

"Look, Natalie, we know you're involved in Jamal's condition," The detective said, his voice firm.

"We just need you to tell us who asked you to harm him." Another statement followed.

Natalie remained silent, her gaze fixed on the table in front of her. The detective signaled to Officer Smart, who had brought her in, and motioned for him to leave the room. This was a conversation he needed to have alone with Natalie.

Officer Smart nodded and exited, leaving the detective alone with the uncooperative suspect.

The detective leaned forward, his voice taking on a softer tone. "Natalie, you're not just hurting Jamal, but also yourself. By cooperating, you might be able to mitigate the consequences." The detective warned her calmly.
