Chapter 6: Wealth and Risky Choices

After laughing for a while, Blade calmed down and composed himself. Next should come the critical thinking aspect.

What should he do next? Yes! He should count his blessings. No he had counted already so what was the number again?

It seems he had forgotten the number already. Well, he could count again, no problem with that. So he started counting once more and after counting, Blade found that there was a total of 50 car wrecks! The thought of getting 50 times what he never planned for was seriously nerve wracking.

He just sat down at the edge of the car wreck and stared right at it as if it would disappear should he turn his eyes away.

Could the goddess of fortune really have decided to give him something today? Nah, that must be a trick or rather a mistake. Maybe the goddess of fortune mistakenly lost a piece of fortune and he accidentally ran into it.

Pfft! How could it be possible for him to run into the goddess lost treasures just like that? Not once, nor twice, but thrice!!! #Luckydays4ever….

As he was still immersed in his excitement, his thoughts poured a bucket of cold water on him that woke him up instantly.

Damn!

With his loud announcement just now, how many scavenger team scouts must have heard?

How many people would be on their way now? He had to quickly cover up his traces and check if there was anybody nearby that must have gotten wind of his excited shout.

Quickly, Blade began to cover up all evidence of his fight and began to scout his immediate surroundings. After scouting a radius of 500 metres, he found no one which made him heave a sigh of relief.

When he got back to the Grade 3's den, he remembered that he hadn't planned out his way of retrieving his lucky haul.

There was no plan of how to transport this yet.

So how was he going to get such a massve amount of car wrecks back to the base?

Sure enough, he could drag all of them back one after the other but...…that didn't seem realistic at all because, if he drags one car wreck back, then two...three...four..... wouldn't that be suspicious? He might even invite one of those veteran scavenging squads into his scavenging domain.

And those squads who usually had no shred of dignity would boast and fight him shamelessly to claim the right to be the first who found this goldmine.

Normally, a scavenging squad usually had about Seven class I shackle breakers and rarely a grade 2 magnetic manipulator. The only difference was the veteran scavenging squads who had about two magnetic manipulators each.

Those squads must not catch wind of it at all or there would be no way for him to claim what was his.

Just thinking about those squads alone made him shiver a bit. There was Dark twilight with their captain, Red demon. That was the number 1 scavenging squad around the base in the 33rd division. To avoid them, everything must be done cautiously because their network of spies was extensive throughout the base.

What was he going to do now? How would he bring all this back without going through the hassle of avoiding potential trouble and unnecessary stress?

Sigh! If he turned everything over to the government, it would just be another celebration of a hero scavenger who contributed greatly to humanity's development.

There would be the celebrations with much fanfare, a honorific title but most importantly, the resources that would amount to about 3800 Golden Magnetic tokens which was about 75% of his discovery. That was still a lot of money though. This was equal to about 38 000 crimson Magnetic tokens and a whooping 380 000 black Magnetic tokens !

At least, there was still a right to choose what resource he would need when they give him the catalog of prices. Its much better compared to just taking his wealth out of an insecure place little by little and end up risking a night visit to his goldmine.

Heck! he could even get caught on the fifth to seventh time of sneaking car wrecks back into the inner base and some acquaintances would show up to accompany him out in the night for a stroll.

"Its decided then!" Blade muttered under his breath as he came to a decision, but still he felt that losing 1200 Golden Magnetic tokens to the agency was a horrible mistake. But still, there was no way about this matter.

"Some people are just too troublesome even when not present!" He sighed in melancholy.

Well he just had to take his findings to the Agencyand nature would take its course. Some Anti Magnetic trucks would be mobilized and other equipments.

Or...

It seems there was a better way to do it that he wouldn't need to stress himself and still get the car back to the base though there would be a bit of risk to it. He could just sell five car wrecks first then after that, he would inform the Agency of his discovery. He could just say that he found the rest of the garage after taking away five cars.

Although it was a blatant lie that anyone could see through, it was still worth the risk. At least with all of these he could get up to 4300 Golden Magnetic tokens at most. Then he could rest assured that anything that comes after that would not be his responsibility.

He could even avoid those trouble making scavenging squads. Those elite squads would be very much interested in this information.

There was no squad that would not hear this and would not fight tooth and nail for it.

It could even cause a division re-ranking. If the division could acquire more resources, it would definitely increase their chances of rising from the bottom to at least three places up.

'What a brilliant idea!' Blade praised himself and decided to implement the plan that he had conceived.
