Even though Siphex couldn't see the day or night, he understood that a long time had passed in the outside world when he began farming the first floor of the maze trial, but he didn't give it much attention because the only thing he knew during this time was hunting without ceasing. At first, all he encountered were the same low-leveled valaptors who didn't yield enough Souls as his level increased, but as he progressed deeper into the cave, he began to encounter a variety of higher level beasts, which, while still common, provided a larger number of enemies and the number of souls their hearts gave him.
Despite the fact that Siphex was killing mobs nonstop, he didn't seem to get tired. Every time he felt tired at the end of a fight, as he devoured a heart out of a corpse, he felt a warm sensation spread through his body, refreshing both his stamina and slightly healing any minor scratches and injuries he developed during the fights, as he later realized there was another side effect of < bloodlust >.
He proceeded randomly through the tunnels for the first several what felt like days, following any living presence he sensed, but after a while, he observed that he occasionally returned through the same familiar passageways. He knew it wasn't termed " maze trial " for no reason when he noticed that.
After that, he began going over his notes.
Following that, he began going through each tunnel while learning its ins and outs and grouping all tunnels that were connected in some way into zones, assigning a number to each zone.
Zone number 1 was where he arrived via the portal, followed by zones 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Zones 1 and 2 were to the east and largely populated with low-leveled valaptors, whilst zones 3, 4, and 5 were to the north and west, wider and darker, and housed a variety of animals ranging in level from 8 to 14.
There was only one zone left for Siphex to explore after he cleaned and wiped all mobs up to zone 5.
"If there is a route out of this tedious maze riddled with tunnels, it should be at zone 6," Siphex muttered after hundreds, if not thousands, of hearts were consumed, he couldn't tell because he'd lost count. But he was content with his progress so far, as nothing in these tunnels could threaten him any longer. He took a look at his status

Because each level gave him three stat points, it was at this level that Siphex finally managed to balance all of his stats, leaving him one open point.
Furthermore, when Siphex achieved level 15, he received the first evolution and class selection quest, which he had been waiting for.

"So I can finally Evolve at level 20, I'm hoping for something with fewer legs and more... humanoid looking, there's no time to waste, I've been in these tunnels for God-only-knows how long... and I seriously miss the outside world, I've probably killed every single living thing in here except for zone 6,. It's time to get out of here, and with my current stats, I should be prepared for whatever challenge awaits me at the end of this tunnel maze or beyond it," Siphex said, feeling he'd lose his mind if he stayed in these dark tunnels any longer, as he began to talk to himself more frequently out of loneliness.
He decided that he was ready and that it was time to travel through the last zone, because he had seen that mobes there began at level 18, and that they were animals that looked like cats but had scales instead of fur, as well as little batlike wings and a tail.
He was confident in his ability to defeat them after achieving his current stats and unlocking a new useful Active skill, which was a single target CC that put an enemy under a lesser sleeping curse for several seconds, the length of which depended on how strong the opponent was, but so far with his high INT and WIS, it hadn't failed him once as it always helped him roll out the most troublesome mob in the group, either the strongest or the fastest just for enough time to kill the weaker ones.
For two reasons, he didn't get to use his first active skill very often. First, the skill was difficult to stack and Second, He didn't need to wait for the poison DOT to finish a victim as most enemies get one-shotted because to his superior sharp body bolstered by high base stats, plus the 10 percent + stats bonus offered by a completely stacked.
Siphex dashed through the tunnel on his way to zone 6, when he ran into the first set of level 18 mobs.

< Deepcave Bacat: beast : common: level 18 >
Five of them were chilling, two on the right and three behind them down the passageway.
Using the momentum of his dash. Siphex wasted no time, leaping and pointing his sharp legs like a gigantic claw, crushing one of the bacat in front of him, impaling all of his sharp pointed legs into it deeply and shoving it crushed at the tunnel wall, leaving its body filled with deep holes.
" fwooooooooooooooooo. Spliggg. * badufffb
landing quick and agile Turning around in time to avoid a direct bite from the other, Siphex stepped back and used lesser nightmare on it, leaving it motionless as if petrified, quickly shifting his attention to the other three, sprinting and jumping at the wall, landing right between them.
the three bacats in the back noticing his assault on the first bacat, they ran and prepared for battle, but they weren't prepared for his quickness as he came right between them, attempting to kill the metallic black monster and avenging their fallen colleagues, the bacat attacked in wrath. Siphex blocked out a paw by stopping it in the middle and bending his spider-like body into a round slice, slicing its paw. An uppercut followed, slicing the poor bacat's face in two.
retracing a few steps Siphex prepared himself for the other two as they attacked, he didn't dodge but rushed at them, getting a direct hit from both of them, but it didn't matter as his legs sunk deep into their bodies, holding them immobile, the next minute he twisted his body while using his claws and sharp pointy legs to rain a tornado of slashes, forcing them back and inflicting serious wounds and cuts all over their bodies on both bacat.
*slash*
*swishh*
*blachkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk*
Looking back at the last bacat who was under the effect of nightmare, Siphex appeared right in front of it, placed his razor pointy edge just between the bacat's eyes, and slowly shoved it forward right through its skull, like a knife through butter, his stab met no resistance as it penetrated through its brain and came out the other side.
*soethhhhhhhhhh swissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
They were all laying limb in their blood on the ground..
"Even level 18, I guess I have no reason to worry yet," said Siphex as he sliced open their bodies Devouring their hearts.

" Not bad," Siphex said, smiling as he was pleased with the quantity of souls gained and the fact that he was getting closer to his next phase...
The enormous continent Grand Mundora is a vast expanse of land that stretches across the vast crystal ocean's body. With a diverse range of climates, landscapes, and scenery, the continent was primarily home to four races. Humans, elves, orcs, and dwarves are among the races. The Tomorian Empire was the largest and most powerful human home, stretching across the entire northeastern quarter of the continent. Its landscape consisted primarily of green plains, vast forests, hills, valleys, small rivers, and lakes, with a typical European climate. Surrounded on the south by a series of grey Mountains, on the west with Elven vegetation, and on the east and north by the ocean. Humans, who lacked any unique racial characteristics, were mainly average in all-around occupations because they could easily pick up skills from other races, but they specialized in herbalism and religion since the paladins were their most cherished unit. " I'm dead, I'm dead," Siphex exclaimed in terror as he saw the ghoul soar into the air, fists clinched together, attempting to reduce him into flesh paste. Siphex heard a notification in the final moments as the silhouette of the leaping ghoul reflected in his eyes, but he didn't pay attention as he closed his eyes waiting for the upcoming agonizing death. *GROOOOOOOOWL* arriving at the last possible moment Zuliqar smirked as he raised a bubble-like barrier and flashed his fingers, attempting to command the Ghoul to halt before it touched Siphex. *Stab* Stab* Stab* *splatterer* It all happened in the blink of an eye. On the ground, he was surrounded by a plethora of large plants and flora that took on bizarre shapes and colors. He was thinking about the rewards and evolution quest as he was satisfied with the ridiculous number of souls obtained from the ghoul's heart. " I can't believe it, I literally just got over 124 thousand souls by consuming that heart... whatever that power I summoned is, it's very powerful, I should find more abou..." His thoughts were disrupted when he noticed something emerging from a nearby tree trunk. whatever the hell this thing was Siphex sensed its potency

*jump* *jump* A silhouette of someone can be seen running and leaping from one tree to another in a forest where giant trees and plants are clustered together. "I'm a light and fast boiii." Siphex was astounded by his new body upgrade as he landed from a great height with no injuries. He felt a lot lighter and faster. "I'm not sure if this body is just this strong. Or maybe it's just that my stats are all maxed out. In any case, i was disappointed at first but now, I'm grateful to whoever provided me with all of the stats. This is so good." He said this while looking at his metallic sharp hand and then at a tree in front of him. "60 strength, I wonder if..." Siphex said as he dashed at the tree and punched it with all his might.
As he got closer, he was greeted by the sight of a camp in a shady clearing adjacent to a river. "Is this a camp, and is there anyone else here? I can't believe it; I thought I was the only one "Siphex said as he took a cautious step into the clearing toward the camp. " Hello, anyone here?" said Siphex as he looked around and surveyed the camp. A tattered tent, the remains of a fire, and several leathers hung on a rope next to the tent were all there. Right next to the tent was a tree with a ladder leading to a small shack on top that resembled a watchtower, with a weapon holster filled with wooden sticks and a steel apear, which Siphex assumed was what reflected the sunlight from afar. The camp was empty but had recently been used. As he searched around for the presence, he noticed it was a little further ahead. As
"I'm tired of going through all of these gates and corridors, as well as all of these markings and dents; there has to be something behind this gate; it won't hurt to try," Siphex reasoned as he dug deeper into the wall. Siphex considered using the pickaxe at first, but it snapped in half after a few strokes due to its rustiness. Using his claws and fists to continue digging through the wall, he eventually managed to build a hole the size of a little ball, which could only fit his arm. "These Walls appear to be harder than they appear; what are they built of?" "This isn't an ordinary stone," Siphex grumbled as he peered through the hole to peer behind the wall. "Woahh, there are so many various items strewn about? Who closed the gate in the first place? Isn't there supposed to be a lever or something nearby?" Siphex could see several gold nuggets and mana stones, as well as other things, scattered on the ground, but he could also see that the chamber on the other side was much larg
in front of his eyes, a big boulder covered in plants and cracks in the distance that looked like the letter L loomed tall between the dense woods up ahead. As he closed the map and jumped down from the tree, Siphex thought, "Now it makes sense."Walking toward the unusual enormous rock, Siphex had to pass through tall shrubs and plants till he reached it; the strange stone was resting on the mountain, and next to it was a trace of faded stone floor with broken stairs leading toward the mountain. A large square stone wall with a massive locked rusted gate that was covered in mud and foliage awaited him at the end.Walking up the stairwell and approaching the rusted gate, Siphex noticed that, despite its rusted and worn appearance, the gate had been opened numerous times recently. as He could see a variety of footsteps dispersed across the stony, fractured ground." This must be the maze's entrance, but strangely, it appears that people arrive here as well; were they sent by the alchem
* splash" woahhh, I can't get enough of this taste, so few souls yet glad it helps with hunger," mused Siphex as he ate a small fox-like animal body while crouching next to a fallen tree trunk in the midst of the woods; after a while, he rose up and looked about. It was a quiet day, as the sun slipped through the many trees that covered the forest floor, and all Siphex could see in his surroundings were trees, trees, trees." I guess it should be that way, hope I'm on the right track," Siphex said as he shook and wiped his bloodied hands on a nearby tree trunk before pulling out the map the alchemist had given him and opening it."Let's see, it's just next to the river north of the mountain," sphiex grumbled as he studied the map, then he looked to his right and saw a mountain, "that's the mountain, so it should be that way," he determined as he stared in a certain direction, then he put the map aside and continued walking. It had been few days since he had left town, and he was read

A temperate big camp can be seen placed along the shoreline, encircled by many defenses and with hunderds of soliders, campfires, and tents under the silent curtain of night, just outside adjacent to the nourthern shores of Gran Mundora. Three individuals can be seen gathered around a tiny circular table with papers and maps thrown on it inside a larger tent stood above others strongly guarded by soldiers in the center of the camp. "Just as his grace had expected, the s ranked adventurers have sent their report from scouting the eastern part of the continent; you know, it's been a month since they were sent to scout the dark continent, and no one expected that they would be attacked by a group of strange humanoid type monsters at some point during their scouting." "As they struggled with the monsters, their scouting progress was significantly hindered, as the creatures have shown to be rather difficult to deal with. Surprisingly, the monsters worked in tandem, with some defending whi
Siphex was hidden in an alley behind the line of stores as he exited the book store through the window. 'I can't believe that worked, they really went behind that decoy thinking it was me,' Siphex thought, his senses heightened as he checked his surroundings to ensure all was well.As soon as he was free of the stalkers, he quietly returned to the street and proceeded on his way to the alchemist.'How much further do I have to walk to get there?' Siphex, on the other hand, had been going into the same direction for quite some time. After a while, the road came to an end as he was greeted by a small clearing in a garden, with a few buildings facing the garden on all sides, one of which was a mid-sized building made of wood and stones, but there was something odd about it as a large tree was piercing through its roof, and it was also covered with plants and vegetations.'I guess the baron wasn't lying when he claimed i wouldn't miss it,' siphex thought as he reached the clearing and app
"my kind? By that do you mean a challenger??" As he raised his brows, Siphex said." Oh no no, I already knew you were a challenger, but that wasn't my point, I meant your race," chuckled the baron as he slid a mug of wine in front of Siphex.'So he found out that Iam a monster, is this an ambush, is that why he requested me to follow him here?' siphex thought as he heard the man mention that he knows about his race and looked at the man pooring a cup of wine for himself. 'Was it these two, or was it someone else?' Siphex, on the other hand, cast a quick glance behind him at the two guys on the table and prepared to defend himself and flee at any minute." You seem disturbed, but don't worry, iam not your enemy. that's why I wanted to speak with you alone, dark elf," the man remarked as he smiled at Siphex before taking a sip of wine.'Wait, what?' So he mistook me for a dark elf, rather than a monster? 'How did he come up with that assumption?' Siphex was perplexed, but his gaze rema
Siphex rose up from the table and decided to leave the inn, thinking, 'I'm hoping the drake's horns would bring me enough mana stones.'As soon as Siphex had made up his mind about going to the alchemist, he stood up and walked away from the table, heading for the exit. However, as he walked between the tables toward the exit of the inn, he remembered the two suspicious guys from earlier and cast a glance in their direction while he was walking, but they were not there, since their table was empty.'Did they leave as well....eh?' Siphex's thoughts were interrupted, though. He acidently pumped into one of the servers who was holding a tray of beverages, forcing her to slip and drop the drinks on a nearby table crowded with individuals, as he was not paying attention." Ahhh," shouted the waitress as she leapt to her feet and apologized profusely to the guests at the table as she began to wipe up the spilt beverages.'Sh*t, forgot this place is too packed,' siphex mused as he shifted hi
