"So what do you plan to do?" I asked, looking up from Informant Alpha's profile. "Are you going to act on your informant's information?"

"Not immediately," Director Edgecombe said. She flipped the papers over until the one at the bottom was now at the top.

Godfrey frowned. "You're not going to take action?"

"No. We could raid Your Light, taking Lady Anne into custody. That is a possibility, but what would that accomplish? In the short term, we might gather valuable information and I think it pales in comparison to what we might gather long term.

"Your Light is a heavy depot for the New Guinean Liberation Front and I do plan on raiding it, just not yet. That might compromise Informant Alpha. Thank about it from their perspective. They get raided a day or two after Informant Alpha appears? No, that's suspicious. There's coincidence and happenstance. Then there's enemy action, which they would have to be fools not to tribute to Informant Alpha.
