Commander Grayson and I went to the other side of the mountain through a zigzag trail path. There, the Flash warriors even build another campsite. In it were tents so tall it's probably thirty feet in height. This other camp had a central area like an arena. A few hours later, we had a dinner party. Man, I wish my family could see what I'm seeing right now. And yet there was this anxious feeling that I wanted to get rid of. Fireflies kept changing colors as they illuminate, so were the mushrooms. We had so many delicious, appetizing, and overwhelming scents of food, desserts, and beverages on every circular table that we occupied. No matter how many foods there were, the warriors still able to munch as many as they desire as if they were in an eating contest. The chairs and tables surrounded the center of the camp. At the dinner party, Claes and Sean found and accompanied me to a table to talk. They
I woke up as my head bumped to the ground with a loud thud. My eyes had gone black because of overdue sleep, definitely need to wash them. Later, I went upstairs to the quarter deck to see what was going on. Sean was resting on a hammock, playing his pan that attracted birds while Claes was busy driving. Yesterday, we almost died because of a tornado, and Sean forgot that he was the pilot because he had his distractions. So Claes told him that he's the one who should drive instead. "Morning." Sean stopped to greet me with his usual smile. "Morning. Where are we now?" I asked. Sean pointed to the wooden railing, I went there and gasped as I saw the Northern Quarté burned to ashes. The morning smile instantly dropped. Despite that, I could still see the white snow on the trees. We parked at the burned shore near the icy river. Sean and I followed Claes as we got off the vessel. "Look at this place." Claes wa
Another day, another cruise. Fortunately for us and the Flash warriors, the other ships were parked beside the forest, still secured and ready to use- also safe from the three-headed dragon's flames. They escorted the villagers to their ships before departing to Sonata village. A decent-looking village yet a crowded one if you ask me for further details. It was a shame that we left Quarté. None of us would be able to live from the west, east, or even in the south because the villages were very occupied. Sadly though, even Snowfall village was the only village known in the north. That's what I know at least. "Are we there yet?" I asked Claes, leaning on the railing next to him while he took charge of the steering wheel. "No," he replied with a flat tone. "What about now?" "No." "Now?"
Since I've accepted my new life as a recruit of the enchanted warriors, I had to make the most of it. It came to me so fast and suddenly I had magical abilities- and not what I thought I would have. So as the commander said, they and I will figure out my magic by training. I felt very alienated. With my family and Sam elsewhere, I didn't know what to do first. It was my first time walking in my shoes in the next part of my life. In my closet on the left corner of the wall was where my attires were kept. A red uniform that had a Flash Warrior symbol on the front pocket with black pants and shoes. It's quite comfy as I wore it, especially the soft cushion of the shoes. The texture of the uniform wasn't itchy at all, yet too smooth to the touch. Well, here I am, the first day of school, I told myself. As I prepared myself for the class, a knock came from the door. I opened it as I came closer to reveal a girl with honey-colored hair and
We trained for the whole day and I thought we would never stop. It made me feel energized, despite exhaustion. The four of us got to know each other better and better as each training progressed. Victor always wanted to be the guy who does impossible things (Which he couldn't yet) because of his abilities, but he has so much to learn and he has yet to discover his limitations. Lenard tends to have every single crush on every single girl, but every single moment, he moves on to another girl. Weird. I'm not judging, but I guess Lenard is that type of person who always looks for a person's appearance one by one. Chloriette always wanted music ever since she's heard of it, but her family won't let her play (It's quite unusual for them to hate music, especially if the issue involved their daughter). She ran away and got kidnapped by a nasty witch and a hideous wendigo and met these two boys. They knew me as a troublemaker because like I always sai
"Victor, what in the textbooks are you doing?" Lenard asked. "What? I'm moving the pawn," replied Victor as he pointed at a chess piece, which wasn't a pawn. "No Victor, you're doing it wrong. No wonder why we always restart the game." "Come on, I wanna learn how to play chess," Victor whined. Lenard frowned out of frustration. "I know, I know, but you're not remembering what I tell you." "About what?" Victor asked leaving Lenard to scoff at the response. "Ugh, never mind. I'll teach you a couple of techniques when you finally learned the basics, but first, let's eat." With a single snap, the chessboard and pieces vanished with purple smoke before being replaced by food that had magically appeared. "Hey, guys." Chlorie
Thanks to the Devastrigon, that kept destroying innocent, countless lives and places, our training became much harder. Thanks a lot! Even the other rookies in the academy had to face the same obstacle as we were. I checked the schedule on the paper that Chloriette gave me. Okay, today is Tuesday so we have to learn how to use a variety of weapons. Ha, I can handle this, I thought to myself. I folded the schedule and put it inside my uniform. The unbelievable part of this day was I had so many red uniforms. "Hey," Chloriette called unexpectedly. "Oh, hey." I looked above her shoulder. Two white-uniformed students were heading to the cafeteria. "Friends of yours?" "Just my acquaintances. I just met them after our training yesterday." "Wow, new friends. Have you heard about-"
I kept remembering what Claes told us during training. "When it comes to using weapons, you need to be quick, strong, and smart enough to take an enemy down. However, you must know and remember every advantage you can use with your weapon of choice and its limits. Using a weapon is just like using a wand. Like a wizard, it can interact and manipulate your magic with ease, but take note of this: 'The weapon's interaction depends on your magic. Learn to find a way to attack, like the river endlessly going forward and push through until it pierces to the end. By using every weapon, learn and use every tactic and maneuver on how to use it, that is the true warrior way.'" Claes demonstrated a proper way on how to swing a sword. Thankfully, I know how to handle these weapons, especially the ones that are used for hunting. Thanks for the training, dad. Chloriette got very used to light weapons such as daggers. In
