Thirty Nine

Jake spent the following day crouching over files and studying them. Despite his numerous visits to their different companies, he still haven't covered up to one tenth of the companies he owned. He was going through the files as his grandfather insisted and Richard was there to help him if need be.

By evening, he decided to take a break. Then he recalled that there was a get together the following day. He went to his wardrobe and picked out a shirt and trousers. They were not very fashionable but they were decent and good looking. He gave them to one of the household servants and ordered her to dry clean the clothes.

The D-day for the gathering was finally here. Jake got dressed in the outfit he had picked the previous day. His driver was dutifully waiting for him downstairs.

“Good morning, Mr Frederick. Which car are we going in, sir?”

“Get the Bugatti,” Jake responded.

The driver, Ken, did as he was told and drove the Bugatti out of the garage. Jake got in and the journey began.
