THE BIKE ACCIDENT

"OK, tell me the name of the hospital; let me come and meet you there," she said.

"No, don’t worry; there is no need for you to come here; I will handle everything on my own," I replied.

"Okay, if you say so," she muttered.

"Also, tell Mordecai not to come looking for me," I said. I can’t let anybody see Mordecai close to me in public at all.

"I will; just make sure you get home safe," she replied.

"I will see you later," I said as I ended the call.

I leaned forward on the bench and rubbed my hands on my head. I can’t believe something like this happened to me. I pray nothing bad happens to the boy.

About an hour later, a doctor walked up to me and told me that the boy had regained consciousness and that he was out of danger. After that, I told the doctor to take me over to the ward.
