CHAPTER 4

Adrian thought he heard that wrong because the truth was why would anyone want to have pity on him and even ask they get into their car?

If it were to be honest, it had to be from someone who knows him or someone who he has in one way or another encountered and from the looks of this person standing in front of him, he has never set eyes on her before.

So Adrian bluntly refused saying,

"Thank you, I am okay, I don't need anyone's help or pity."

Adrian has always been a prideful person and as such, he is a little bit selective of who he communicates with.

He believes he wasn't going to be a pauper for long, and that there was going to be light at the end of the tunnel for him, so he isn't at all intimidated by exotic or luxurious cars and people's wealth because he believes he is going to make his one day.

The young lady in question smiled and thought,

'He truly is like his father, very proud. I have found him, master.'

"Okay, I will tell you something, I hope you become calm when you hear it. I am Cecilia, and I am the secretary to LOUISON ENTERPRISE." She uttered.

'Louison enterprise, I never applied for that company so why would the secretary of such a distinguished and huge company be looking for me? I doubt that this is legit.' Adrian McCain thought still skeptical of the person in front of him.

"I never applied for that, so please don't bother with me, thank you." Adrian said and wanted to walk away when the stranger held him back and said in a more friendly way.

"Let's go into the car and I will explain more to you." She said

"No, I am not interested in whatever it is, thank you." Adrian said sternly.

"What I have to tell you is very important, and it is quite legit I promise." Cecilia said.

"Young lady, I already told you I am not in any way interested in whatever it is you have to say okay?" Adrian retorted.

Cecilia was adamant about pulling him back into the car, it was at this moment that Adrian's wife Linda Pierre arrived.

Yes, she came to look for her husband because she thought he ran away and the fact that if he should get pissed and run off, her mother's life would be in danger since it solely depends on Adrian's blood and some components from his body.

So she came out to look for him, but then seeing him being all lovey-dovey with a woman who looks more beautiful than she was made her upset but most importantly she was feeling jealous due to how close they both seemed.

It was like her husband was being flirtatious with this lady who was obviously more pretty than she was.

'So you have a date and you blame me for flirting with another man? Hypocrite.' She thought as she walked closer to him in rage.

"Adrian what are you doing?" She asked in rage.

Seeing his wife, he became pissed after recalling all the things she had told him earlier over the phone.

"What do you think I am doing?" He lashed back he was obviously still upset with her

This made Cecilia retreat his hands from Adrian because she recognized that this must be someone who had some sort of relationship with him.

So in order not to cause commotion between the couple she withdrew her hold from him.

"Why are you flirting with this stranger, is she the reason why you were seeking a divorce? Or are you now a gigolo too?" Linda yelled out.

"What business is that to you? Weren't you having some sort of relationship with that loose and uncouth Individual you said was from college?" Adrian asked back, he was disgusted at the fact that his wife would think of him as a gigolo and that he would do such things for money, but if he was upset about her question, he sure didn't show it.

"Oh are you trying to say I am the cause of you being this way?" Linda inquired, yelling.

"Miss, you have to understand, there is nothing…" Cecilia tried to say something to defer the claim that they were both having illicit affairs but it only became upsetting to Linda because she didn't want her explanations and to crown it all up her voice sounded way better than hers, all of this combined made her envious without even knowing.

"Stay out of this, you whore." Linda retorted.

This got Cecilia upset that she wanted to speak yet again but was totally ignored by Linda once more.

"Look I don't care what you do, how many girlfriends you have, but you should go back to the hospital and do what you ought to do after marrying into my influential family. Get back to the hospital and give as much blood as you have to my mother. I don't care if you lose your life doing so, you are her blood bag and station because that is the only place you'll ever earn." Linda blurted out.

On a normal day, he would have been very upset with these words because they were painful to listen to.

Anyone who would be told such would surely lose their wits and composure but something happened, something that was a shock to the two women was that Adrian began laughing.

He laughed out so loud and more that even tears from laughter were oozing from his eyes.

He held Ceclia's hand and said outrightly to his wife Linda; "This woman beside me, well she is my girlfriend, and she is way prettier than you will ever be."

This took both Cecilia and Linda by surprise.

Linda wanted to say something but Adrian wasn't in the mood to listen to her anymore, he pulled the young lady, Cecilia who he had just met that day, holding on to her so intimately and pulled her into the car and the car drove off almost immediately, leaving Linda standing there filled with rage.

On their way, Adrian McCain said calmly,

"I am so sorry for my words back there, I hope that didn't offend you… I was just caught up in the moment and angry at the same time."

"Of course not, she was a bit hot-headed so I understand." Cecilia said.

"Thank you miss, I didn't mean for any of that to happen but I just had to do it to piss her off or make her jealous." Adrian conveyed.

"Whatever you say goes sir, keep in mind that I am at your disposal at all times, so your wish is my command." Cecilia said.

"Um okay, I am lost. What do you mean by that? I still don't follow." Adrian asked.

"Sir, I am only a maid to your family, so it is my duty to serve you and obey your every wishes." Cecilia said humbly.

"What… what are you saying?" Adrian questions because as far as he knows, he has no ties with anyone wealthy whose maid will be driving such a brand new modern car so he sure needed some clarity.

"I am saying, you are the heir of the Louison's."
