CHAPTER 22

Leon sat at his desk, staring at the empty screen before him. The echoes of David Harper’s threat still reverberated in his mind. He knew this was only the beginning, and things were going to get much worse before they got better. But he wasn’t about to back down now.

His phone buzzed on the desk, pulling him from his thoughts. It was a message from Marcus: "Leon, meet me at the warehouse ASAP. I’ve got something you need to see."

Leon’s brows furrowed. Marcus wouldn’t ask him to come out of the blue unless it was urgent. Grabbing his jacket, he made his way out, determination etched into his face.

When Leon arrived at the old warehouse, Marcus was already there, pacing nervously by the entrance. He waved Leon over and led him inside, his face a mixture of excitement and concern.

"What is it?" Leon asked, his voice low and steady.

Marcus pointed to a series of monitors set up on a makeshift desk. "I dug deeper into the surveillance feeds from David’s operations, and look at this."
