CHAPTER 31

The dust from the explosion was still settling as Leon and his team regrouped. Their faces were marked with soot and sweat, yet their eyes held a grim determination. The once formidable fortress of Harper’s empire was now reduced to ruins, smoldering in the background. However, they all knew that Harper’s defeat was only a small victory in the larger war that loomed ahead.

Leon stood over the battered form of Harper, who was barely conscious, his eyes flickering open as he stared up at his captor with a look of defiant rage. Despite his injuries, Harper’s expression was one of someone who was not yet defeated in spirit.

"You still think this is over, don’t you, Leon?" Harper coughed, blood staining his lips. "You might have taken down my base, but you’ve only scratched the surface of what I’m capable of."
