CHAPTER 41

The sounds of battle were deafening, each gunshot reverberating through the air like a thunderous drumbeat. Leon and Alan pushed through the throngs of combatants, their eyes locked on the chaos unfolding before them. The defenders were holding their ground, but the tide was beginning to shift as The Order pressed forward relentlessly.

“Stay close!” Leon shouted, his voice barely audible over the cacophony. He could see their numbers dwindling, the relentless advance of The Order threatening to overwhelm them. If they didn’t act quickly, everything they had fought for would be lost.

Alan grunted as he fired off another round, his face set in determination. “We need to flank them from the east. If we can hit them hard there, it might create a gap for our forces to regroup.”
