CHAPTER 42

The battlefield was an ever-changing panorama of chaos, each moment blurring the line between hope and despair. Leon stood firm, surrounded by the growing sense of urgency that pulsed through the air. The explosions had momentarily disoriented The Order, but he knew that their momentary triumph could quickly turn into a deadly trap if they weren’t careful.

“Rally the troops!” Leon shouted, his voice carrying over the din of gunfire and screams. “We need to push them back while they’re regrouping! Don’t let up!”

Alan was at his side, nodding vigorously. “I’ll take the left flank. You take the right?” he suggested, already assessing the movement of their forces.

“Agreed! We can split their attention,” Leon replied, a strategy forming in his mind.
