CHAPTER TWLEVE

Leon sat alone in the dim light of his study, his thoughts swirling like a storm around him. Everything was falling apart faster than he could manage. The walls felt like they were closing in, trapping him in the darkness that David and Clara had cast over his life. But surrender wasn't in his nature. He'd been backed into corners before, and every time, he'd come out swinging.

He pushed the frustration down, channeling it into focus. He opened a map of his city on the laptop screen, scanning through known locations where David operated his shady deals. If David thought he could stay hidden behind a veil of deceit, he was sorely mistaken. Leon was going to smoke him out, even if he had to turn over every stone in the city to do it.
