04. Gabriella Enterprise

Austin looked at his reflection in the mirror of his room. He was wearing the suit he bought yesterday, his face was also more cheerful than his usual days.

Not without reason, last night he earned 4,000 Exchange Points for doing his two homework assignments. With that many Exchange Points, he no longer needed to worry about lacking money later on.

"I'll go to the library, then buy a new cell phone. I'll probably be out of the house until noon, then help mom sell..." she murmured enthusiastically.

He didn't want his mother to keep working, but Austin couldn't say that he had a lot of money now. Selina would probably think he was crazy if he said that all the money he earned was from the system.

It didn't make sense, but that was the reality.

The teenage boy picked up his cell phone, checking it for a moment in case there was a new school assignment or something he had missed. After making sure there was nothing that should keep him at home longer, he waltzed out of the room.

"Mom, I'm going to the library, I'll be home in the afternoon!" Austin shouted to his mother who was drying clothes in the back room.

"You didn't eat breakfast first?" asked Selina in a loud voice, hoping Austin could hear her.

"No, Mom! Then I'm off!"

***

The roaring sound of vehicles passing by on the highway did not disturb Austin who was reading one of his favorite novels. He used public bus transportation to go to the library.

Occasionally the teenager looked at the streets crowded with people. He saw a small child playing with their parents, sometimes he also saw teenagers like him playing with their friends.

Seeing all that, Austin could only sigh softly. He had never felt what those people felt.

Playing with his parents? Selina was too busy making money, there was no time for women to play with her.

Play with his friends? He doesn't even have a single friend.

"That's all in the past now. I'll start fixing myself and start taking a new path as a new Austin too..." he murmured excitedly.

It didn't take long for the public bus to finally arrive at Austin's first destination, the City Library.

The City Library holds at least hundreds of thousands of books, be it knowledge books or romance novels. The City Library is basically a paradise for those who love to read.

Austin actually often went to the City Library to study the subject matter he didn't understand or just to relax his mind by reading some of his favorite novels. But this was his first time setting foot in the City Library after getting the Student System.

[The Host has entered Winston Library. Hidden rewards triggered! Host gets 100,000 Exchange Points as a reward!]

Austin was stunned as the system sound rang inside his head.

"100,000 Exchange Points?! I got it just for entering the City Library?" Austin muttered in disbelief at what he had just heard.

To him, 100,000 Exchange Points was a lot of money. Previously he had only redeemed 1,000 Exchange Points and in an instant his account balance grew directly to 100,000,000 dollars.

Then what happens if he converts 100,000 Exchange Points into money? Doesn't that mean he will get 100 Billion dollars?

The system screen suddenly appeared in front of him which once again made Austin surprised.

[The host had entered the City Library. The library is one of the world's sources of knowledge.]

[Any rewards from missions (Student System) will be multiplied by two while inside the Library]

Austin was getting more and more excited. "That means I can get 1,000 Exchange Points for every page of the book I read later? That's amazing! It turns out that my decision to go to the city library was right. I can earn a lot of Exchange Points here!"

Austin didn't stay in the library lobby for long. He immediately picked up some of his favorite knowledge books and novels. He would probably spend most of his time in the library, before going somewhere else.

The few people who saw Austin carrying dozens of books at once made them shake their heads slowly. Only a few library employees were used to the sight.

Who among them didn't know the young man with glasses? Every day without fail the teenager always came to the library where they worked. Spending time from afternoon until nightfall, seeing the teenage boy reading several books in a day was no longer a strange sight.

Austin took a seat close to the window overlooking the outdoors on the second floor of the library.

"Alright... Time to hunt for Exchange Points!"

If he had previously gone to the library just to unwind or take a short break, but now it was different. He had a clear goal once he entered the City Library, which was to earn more Exchange Points.

[Host opens a knowledge book.]

[Host gets 500 Exchange Points (X2)]

Again Austin was surprised. He was silent for a moment, he scratched lightly at his hair that wasn't itchy, it seemed like he was too lucky, right?

"So I can immediately understand all the contents of the book just from looking at it? Well then..."

A second later Austin felt himself wanting to scream out loud, expressing his happiness freely. But what the hell, he could only smile broadly while trying not to disturb others, or else the library staff would kick him out.

[Host has understood the contents of the book [Science World]]

[Host has understood...]

[Host gets 500 Points...]

The ringing of the system continued to sound inside his head. In just under half an hour, Austin managed to finish his first two knowledge books. The National Level Math book and the World Science book were the most complicated books he read today, but thanks to the Student System, he was able to understand all the material of both books easily in a short period of time.

Moreover, both knowledge books were 400 pages thick each. This was the first time Austin felt that his hobby was truly worthwhile.

[Exchange Points: 961,350 Points]

"My Exchange Points are very abundant, aren't they? With this many Exchange Points, I can get anything I want..." Austin murmured in awe as he looked at the system screen in front of him.

But the teenage boy did not lose himself in his excitement and continued to open new barrels. Aside from earning Exchange Points, the fact that he could remember everything he read in recall time alone was already amazing. He could not waste this golden opportunity to mine more knowledge.

It didn't feel like 3 hours passed quickly. Austin yawned, boredom starting to get to him after reading 16 books for that long. He looked around him for a moment, there were some people he had previously seen had left, there were also some new visitors.

"That's enough for today. I might go crazy if I keep reading more books. Even though I can read and understand them quickly, reading so many books at once is something I just can't handle..."

He once again looked at the system screen in front of him. Within three hours, his Exchange Points jumped from 900 thousand Points to nearly 5 Million Exchange Points. A fantastic amount indeed, with so many Exchange Points, there was no doubt that Austin could obtain everything in this world.

Austin didn't immediately go outside the library after finishing reading the book. He checked his system store, seeing if there was anything he could exchange besides money.

His gaze was glued to one column that displayed brief information.

[65% share of Gabriella Enterprise: 2.5 million Exchange Points]

"Gabriella Enterprise shares? The price is the highest among the [Mortal Treasure] lineup. Should I try to exchange it instead?"

After thinking for a long time, Austin finally exchanged his 2.5 Million Exchange Points for Gabriella Enterprise Shares. Austin had no idea that his actions had caused an uproar amongst businessmen and entrepreneurs around the world.

In a place far away from Winston City, a tall building towered above the clouds. The 'Gabriella Enterprise' logo was clearly printed on the center of the building, indicating that the skyscraper belonged to Gabriella Enterprise.

Inside the special room where the President Director of Gabriella Enterprise was, a man with a tall stature and also full of dominant aura was calling one of his trusted subordinates.

"The owner of Gabriella Enterprise has changed. Hold a shareholders' meeting this afternoon, I'll explain it to them myself."
