Benjamin's face was definitely a study in confusion. He looked from the older man to the others, then back again. He lifted his hand to shake the man out of politeness.

He didn't waste time in asking however,

“Who are you and what do you want with me?”

The older man cleared his throat, ridding his face of any kind of expression and doing his best to keep a level of professionalism in his extremely respectful manner.

“I am Herbert McKlin, master Knox. If you wouldn't mind coming with us, you will be made fully aware of what this is all about.”

He gestured to the car he'd just alighted from, urging Benjamin to enter.

Benjamin looked at the car, then back at Herbert.

“You really think I'm going to get into a car with some strangers? Just like that?”

He wanted to say that he was sure they had the wrong person and they should just leave him alone to deal with his issues. But they knew his name. And there weren't very many Knoxes around this region.

Then a thought dawned on him.

Andrew.

The asshole could have sent these men to ‘make him disappear’. But it looked a bit overkill, even for Andrew. And the cars these men brought were almost thrice as expensive as Andrew's. Even if he didn't know the extent of Andrew's family's wealth and they actually could afford these, he didn't think they would expend this much on a pauper like him.

“Mr Knox, I assure you, we have no intention of harming you in any way. We would just like to have a civil conversation with you.”

Benjamin scoffed, taking a step backward.

“Aren't we civil enough right now? We can have the conversation right here.”

Herbert was becoming a bit unsettled, he didn't like where this was headed.

“Sir, it is paramount that you follow us, I must appeal to your better judgement on this please.”

Benjamin wasn't convinced. He was the only one who could care for his grandmother. If anything happened to him without anyone who could take care of her, he would hate himself.

He frowned.

“I'm sorry but I can't. If you cannot say whatever you want here then you'll have to forget about it.” He gave a polite nod and then turned to walk away.

Herbert nodded at the men and they instantly sprang into action, surrounding Benjamin.

“What the hell!” Benjamin yelled, pushing them out of his path but failing at it miserably because these men felt like they were chiseled out of rock.

“Please come with us young master.” the one who looked like the leader, stated calmly, firmly urging Benjamin in the direction of the third vehicle.

“I said no!” Benjamin flung a punch at the guy, sending him stumbling a few steps.

The other guys immediately closed the gap, holding on firmly to Benjamin. But Benjamin didn't give up, he kicked at as many as he could but it was like they just kept coming.

He realised that they weren't retaliating to his violent attempts but merely trying to contain him.

He tried headbutting one of them to provoke them and ruin their formation but the guy dodged and the rest used that opportunity to bundle him into the car.

“Help! Somebody help!” Benjamin screamed, but it was futile, there was nobody around, and Herbert had him right where he wanted already.

He kept trying to struggle but they overpowered him and next thing he knew, his hands were being tied together.

“What the hell! What is the meaning of this! Is this being civil?” Benjamin kept yelling.

Herbert slid in next to him, his expression apologetic.

“I apologise, master Knox for the somewhat inhuman treatment but really I have no choice. I hope you forgive me when you realise why I had to do this.”

“Damn you!” Benjamin spat, his entire body vibrating from restrained anger as the vehicle sped out of there.

They drove for a while. Giving Benjamin time for his anger to dissipate. He was still pissed but his thoughts had begun to be reoriented. What could they possibly want with him? They'd basically abducted him. But he couldn't think of anyone he could possibly have offended to warrant this.

They soon reached what looked like a remote estate. As they drove through the gate into the area, Benjamin could feel himself begin to be taken away by the aura of the place. They had long left the city and were on the outskirts of town and the vegetation had been beautiful but inside the estate it was even more so.

Every inch of this estate screamed luxury. The trees seemed to have been crafted by the hands of humans, yet, the fruit some of these trees bear was proof that nature had been allowed to take its course as well.

As they arrived at the house— a mansion that challenged the white house in every ramification, Benjamin's jaw dropped.

His eyes widened and every shred of anger was replaced by awe.

The area was like a presidential villa. There were armed guards and bodyguards everywhere, looking like something out of a James Bond movie. Benjamin couldn't believe his eyes.

What could a person who dwelled in this sort of place possibly want with him?

Herbert got out of the car and gestured for Benjamin to do same.

“Welcome home, Master Knox.” Herbert bowed as he made this greeting.

Benjamin could care less though, as he was still looking around at the magnificence and pure opulence of this place!

He was soon led inside and it was as though the outside paled to what was contained inside. His mouth became permanently agape as he stared around at the grandiosity that was the complex architecture of this mansion. The place was basically like a modern palace. He could almost swear that he was in the home of some sort of royalty.

He was directed by Herbert into a large hall where he found an old man sitting at the end of the exquisitely designed room.

This old man immediately sprang up, his eyes lighting up as soon as he saw Benjamin.

“Oh my God! My grandson is finally home!”

The convoy of luxurious SUVs from the Sunspot Estate arrived at their destination. This would be a great first time that Benjamin's close friends would be coming here. Despite how luxurious this estate is - incredibly expensive and designed with the best material, that you can easily tell that this is no different than a palace of divine luxury that only a handful of people would dare claim they can measure up to half of its worth, this estate was still very well hidden. Most people around the world, despite knowing of the powerful Whiteridge family who dominate the business world of the United States, only the elite of the elites know exactly where this prime estate can be located.Max had his eyes and mouth wide open as he watched the scenery pass by the SUV zooming through the estate.“Holy shit. Living within the boundaries of Sunspot Estate for over a year now, I really thought I had seen it all, but I was so fucking wrong. Ben, this is a diamond-tier palace among golden palaces

Benjamin, April, Max, Olivia, Jason, and Anthony all left for the prime estate outside of New Stone City. They left Sunspot Estate in the convoy of fifteen SUVs, one of which the group of six friends was occupying.Chauffeur Anthony drove the SUV with his partner right beside him. Benjamin and April are sitting right behind them, with Max and Olivia taking the rear.Benjamin glanced around the SUV as discreetly as possible. There was a common denominator in terms of the overall emotion in this customized, highly geared futuristic tech vehicle, and that was nervousness.Max, April, and Olivia were all pretty much nervous about the same thing. This would be their first time ever setting foot within the prime estate. It was safe to say that they had no idea how the overall atmosphere would welcome them, as well as how they would be accepted, if at all. Also, it should be noted that this is Benjamin's first official invitation by the prime state to formally introduce himself to the elde

Vice-Chancellor Dice couldn't help staring at Benjamin in absolute awe. He couldn't believe it. It was one thing to be known as a member of the Whiteridge family, and an entirely leveled-up revelation to be known as a direct descendant of the ruling patriarch of the Whiteridge family.“Wait….um…so…you're telling me that you're a grandson of the great master of the Whiteridge family. As in….you have a claim to a spot as a contender for the position of Heir Apparent?”Benjamin was trying his best not to crack a smile as the old man sat across from him, nodding his head.“That's right. But I'm not telling you this to gloat or demand more respect. I want you to deal with the talking students on campus.”Vice-Chancellor Dice still needed time to fully absorb the revelation about Benjamin's true status within such a titanic family, but he knew better than to let this distract him from the ongoing conversation. Thus, he sighed as he nodded his head.“This is about the negative assumptions b

The meeting with the prime estate apparently came much earlier than anticipated. They were ordered to report there within two days.Within these two days, Benjamin met up with the now-famous Vice-Chancellor Augustin Dice, where he confessed that he truly is a member of the Whiteridge family.Augustin Dice smiled warmly at Benjamin for a while, following the confirmation. His voice was then very calm, proving that he truly was on Benjamin's side.“I see.” But then Vice-Chancellor Dice took it one step further. He got out of his seat and walked around the desk to kneel before the young man.“Then I would like to take this opportunity to formally greet Young Master Benjamin of the Whiteridge family.”Benjamin was taken aback by this, and he quickly rushed over to the man to help him back up on his feet.“Vice-Chancellor Dice, please, there's no need for this. I'm still the same Benjamin you stood up for at the gate the day that I returned from the Prime estate, faced with Andrew, Alexa

Benjamin shared the new finding that his chauffeur, Anthony, had sent with him with his friends.“It's my cousin, Veronica, along with her parents, my aunt and uncle, who are responsible for this. They're the ones who leaked the news of my true identity to this campus.”April shook her head.“Why would they do that to you? Is this an act of revenge or something?”Olivia scoffed with a slightly annoyed expression.“If it's truly the case, then Veronica is far pettier than I thought she was. We haven't even held her accountable for the problem she caused with your Grandma Theresa, Benjamin, and now she still dares to make a move.”Max placed a comforting hand on his girlfriend's shoulder as he spoke, his face bearing a light frown.“This….comes across as a bit desperate, don't you think? I'm sure Veronica and her parents must have been reprimanded by the prime estate. That cousin of yours must be aware by now that not only are you one of Great Master Hunter's direct descendants, but yo

The news about Benjamin being a member of the Whiteridge family began circulating, and within the family, those with an ear for gossip had heard about it. Of course, it naturally didn't take long after that before words got to Benjamin himself. While in a private room of their favorite campus restaurant, Benjamin was sitting with his lover, April, and best friends, Max and Olivia.“Dude, did people know about your true identity?”Benjamin looked at Max while shaking his head briefly. “So far, they only seem to know about my identity as a young master of the Whiteridge family, but I don't think they know which branch of the family I belong to.”Olivia shrugged her shoulders.“It doesn't matter now, not more than the fraudulent accusations you've been getting lately. I spoke to some of my friends on campus. They said that some of the others have started calling you a phony. They've put the pieces together, and they're now sure that you never truly won any lottery. That from the start,
