Chapter 6

"Finally, the one I've been waiting for has come," Arthur said excitedly.

"Mr. Ben, how are you? You're looking increasingly handsome, and your watch caught my eye. Is that the new watch from J?" The manager, who had just arrived, was quick to flatter Ben.

Moreover, the room Ben had booked a long time ago was no ordinary room; it could only be reserved by the VVIP cardholders of the venue, and those VVIP cardholders also needed time to book the place.

Hearing the manager's praise, Ben was naturally delighted. "Max, you know, good stuff; it's true that this is a special edition because I don't want just anyone to be able to wear what I'm wearing."

"You are indeed very worthy to wear a rare product like this. Oh yes, what's wrong with calling me Mr. Ben? Is our service lacking? Please let me know. I promise to give you the best service." Max remembered his primary purpose for being there.

"No, the waiter here is also very nice. The wine prepared is also very delicious, as usual." Ben replied while taking a sip of the wine that was already available in the room. "But I didn't expect that a place as comfortable as this could be recognized as hers by just anyone."

"So what you're saying is that some lunatic is claiming this place as his own?" replied Max mockingly because in his three years of working there, Max knew his boss wasn't in town.

"You're right, manager; that guy said the club was his, and why is your security so low to let a hobo like him in here?" said Jack quickly.

Jack and the others couldn't wait to see the scene where Nelson would be humiliated by the club manager.

"I just wanted to confirm to you that the owner of this club isn't him, right?" Ben said as he pointed at Nelson, who was silent.

"His? Hey, mister, are you out of your mind? Don't you realize that the clothes you wear alone are inferior to those the maid here uses as a rag? So you shouldn't make any claims," Max said rudely, directly insulting Nelson, who dared to claim the place was his.

"Gentlemen are right. The security of this place seems to have to be improved again so that crazy people don't just walk in and say nonsense." Max continued to criticize Nelson.

Seeing the manager curse him so much, Nelson began to doubt whether he was in the wrong place. However, Nelson was confident that the system would not lie to him.

"System, do me a favour; you can't do anything!" cursed Nelson in his heart because since the arrival of his former coworker, the system had not responded to his words.

"So what are you waiting for, Max? Quickly take this guy out lest Mr. Ben's appetite be disturbed!" Jack excitedly shooed Nelson away, even though he was the one who pulled the man into the particular room with himself and his friends.

"Mr. Ben, take it easy; I'll take care of it quickly." Max swiftly walked towards Nelson, but his cell phone suddenly rang before he could drag Nelson's body.

"Yes, hello, what's up?"

"What? Since 2 hours ago the owner of this club has changed? Why didn't you tell me? Hurry up and send me the profile of our new owner now!"

Max's words made the four people in the room cringe.

"New owner? Don't tell me?" said Marcell in a low voice, but everyone could hear him.

"Why are you looking at me, Mr. Manager? Don't you want to see who the new owner of this club is?" Nelson said in a smug tone. The man immediately folded his arms over his chest and looked at everyone contemptuously.

"Tsk, what do you have to fear, Max? He's just a poor guy who just lost his job. So don't be scared," Ben said quickly, as he knew a poor man like Nelson wouldn't suddenly become rich like that overnight.

"Hahaha, you're right, Mr. Ben," Max replied, laughing in relief as he realized that the poor man in front of him was probably just trying to outwit him.

After that, Max quickly read the profile that his friend had given him.

"M-Mr. Nelson Kade?" said Max shakily after confirming whose profile he had just read.

"Introducing me, Nelson Kade. Do you know who I am, Mr. Max?" replied Nelson in a cold tone.

Knowing his mistake, Max quickly knelt before Nelson.

"Mr. Nelson, I'm sorry, I'm sorry I didn't recognize you. Please forgive me!" Max immediately begged his new boss for forgiveness.

"Mr. Max, you may have made a mistake. He's just a poor man about to be divorced by his wife, and all this time, he has no money." Seeing what the club manager was doing, Arthur felt uneasy and tried to convince Max that he might have recognized the wrong person.

"Shut up, you asshole; where are your manners towards the owner of this glorious nightclub?!" Max snapped at Arthur.

Nelson, who saw the ridiculous drama, just smiled sarcastically without saying anything.

"Mr. Nelson, I'm sorry, don't listen to them. I'll do anything, but please don't fire me!" Max pleaded with Nelson again.
