The reunion

Chapter 6: The Reunion.

Jane left the mansion that day and went to the address, which was a park.

Meanwhile, back at Mike's home, Mike was on the bed, facing the ceiling thinking about the decision he was about to make whether it was good or bad, and whether should he explain it to her or not.

After much thought, he decided to go ahead with the plan. He was about to go out when he was blocked by his wife, Pearl.

“Where are going to?” Pearl asked, with an angry voice tone.

“Look, I am going to see a friend” Mike answered in a calm voice tone.

“Wow! A friend… what is his name?” Pearl asked

“It's… mum.. Look you won't understand,” Mike said.

“Yes, I will! Mike, I will understand!” Pearl shouted angrily.

“Look it is… Personal” Mike said, trying to appeal for Pearl to understand.

“Yeah, let me guess you are going to one of your anonymous businesses right?” Pearl asked

“Pearl…”

“Don't pearl me! I wonder if Manson, your friend knows about your activities, but let me tell you something, if you continue like this I will leave you” Pearl said, looking at Mike angrily.

Those words struck Mike hard, “You are joking right?” Mike asked, trying to imagine Pearl was joking.

“Try me and see,” Pearl said, moving away from the door, giving way for Mike to exit the house.

“Pearl! Pearl!” Mike tried to call her back but she ignored him.

Mike was about to exit the house when he heard, “Dad! Dad!”

He turned around and saw his son, Roy, “ hey Champ, how are you doing today?” Mike said with an erroneous smile.

“I am good and you?” Roy asked

“Yeah I'm fine” Mike replied.

“Dad, I am in chapter five of my storybook,” Roy said, with a smile on his face.

“Wow, so what is the title?” Mike asked.

“It's the reunion”

“Hmm…” mike exclaimed

“Yeah, and John Tom met an old friend but he is going to be betrayed,” Roy said.

“Nice! Alright keep reading” Mike said, he gave his son a path on the head and went out of the house.

Mike was skeptical at first about meeting Jane because of what he did and her relationship with his main target, but he cleared his doubt and went ahead with his plan.

Mike got to the park and he spotted Jane sitting on a bench, looking around to see him. Mike dressed as a delivery boy and walked up to Jane.

Jane, at first didn't recognize him.

“excuse me, miss,” Mike said, dressed up as a delivery boy

Jane turned and said, “I don't order anything”.

“Yes you did,” Mike said

Jane looked at him confused.

“You order a Mike,” Mike said, he took off his face cap and nose mask, revealing himself to Jane.

“Oh my goodness! Mike!” Jane exclaimed hugging him.

The undercover officers spying on Jane noticed their interaction and knew something was suspicious, officer ruby, which is part of the undercover police officers, ordered close monitoring.

“I didn't understand what you meant by I am the suspect and not the criminal you are looking for,” Jane asked.

“Umm… It's true, I am not the criminal you are looking for, I just took something that killed someone close to me” Mike said.

“What? The necklace, how?” Jane asked

“You won't understand, but just know that I have done the first phase of my plan,” Mike said.

“This is insane, just talk to me I can help you, as a friend,” Jane said.

Mike smiled and said “Yes you can help me but your dad can do more than a helping hand”

“What did you mean by that?” Jane asked.

“So innocent and Ignorant. Did you remember that your father, billionaire Andrew never allowed me and you to hang out those days in high school”

“Yeah I remembered,” Jane said.

“He hated me, he transferred the aggression,” Mike said in a low voice tone.

“What do you mean by that?” Jane said, now angry and confused.

“Don't worry I will not transfer aggression” Mike said in a calm voice tone.

“But how is my father related to all of this?” Jane asked.

“He will answer that question better,” Mike said, looking her straight in the eye.

The undercover police officer decided to move in and apprehend Mike.

“I don't understand you?” Jane said.

Mike paused noticing the movement of some individuals heading towards him, he stood up immediately giving Jane a fright, mike and Jane recognized that it was police officers who were approaching them. Officer Joe, who is part of them, told the officers to arrest Mike.

Mike turned and looked at Jane and said “You betrayed me”
