chapter 10 : informations exchange part 2

"Boy, are there any other questions!?"

John asked after looking around. 

Bryan put his hand on his chin.

"I have hundreds of questions, but don't worry, I won't ask you all these questions. Tell me, are you a magician!?"

"Boy, if I were a wizard, both of us  wouldn't have this conversation! I would use a spell that reads a person's mind or something similar and take all your gold, but unfortunately and fortunately for you, I'm not a wizard!!"

Bryan got so used to the way John spoke that he didn't show any expression on his face despite hearing a threatening tone in the middle of his words. 

"If you are not a wizard, then tell me how you got your current strength!?" 

Bryan noticed the sadness through John's blue eyes

"I was almost three years older than you when I applied to the examination of the Mage Academy in the Imperial Capital, unfortunately to become a mage you have to be highly talented, which I didn’t have. Even though i awakened the fire element to the academy being strict in admission criteria, unfortunately I didn’t get  accepted , however I did not give up and somehow got the magic power refining scroll. Despite all this to this day I have never crossed the first circle, but as there is a mage's way there is a knight's way, I discovered that I had a great talent in terms of physical strength and after So much suffering, I managed to break through to the fourth rank of body rank. No need to ask I’ll tell you about the strength stages of both mages and knights . . . . "

John notices Bryan's bewilderment every time he says something new

Bryan nodded his head

John finished his words

"As far as I know a magician has seven stages, and they are from the first circle to the seventh circle, as I told you I'm in the first circle, but don't underestimate this, boy, a magician from the first circle can easily beat a knight of the second rank, even he may even draw with a knight Rank four like me, of course, if he has a dual element or a unique element! Knights are the opposite of magicians because they have eleven levels of strength, in fact, I have never in my 40-year life seen a magician above the fourth circle, even knights have never Seen a rank eight knight... There are also people like Mary and you ,we call them occultists but beware boy most of your kind are subjected to dissections if they fall into a witch's claw with the purpose of . . . . "

Bryan completed John's last sentence

John nodded his head

Bryan took out 15 gold coins and threw them at John. 

John caught them and looked at them so closely that he removed part of his mask to reveal his mouth. He praised the gold, some noting that it was pure gold. 

"Wonderful, cool boy, with this I have made a revolution. It is 222,500 rays for these gold coins. Boy, I sought to deal with you." 

After John was overly excited about how much he sang, he got up from the floor and patted his clothes.

"John, wait a minute. Tell me how much a magic refining scroll costs!"

John who was about to leave stopped when he heard Bryan's question, turned around to look at him with a sarcastic smile, and said

"Oh boy, the manual for refining magic is not an ordinary thing because it is an enchanted item that is used only once. You do not read its content but the content is transmitted directly to your brain, and due to a limitation or curse, it is impossible to copy the information related to the manual!!"

Second, you have to wake up one of the eleven elements. Third, if you don't pass the first and second conditions, forget about it... Anyway. The third condition is to have a percentage of 50 or more in mental energy. They have a magical device that can measure the strength of your mental energy. Also, magicians can measure the mental energy of others too, so I can say that you will succeed in all three conditions, only the last condition remains which is the phrase About a measure it , I can't tell you much about it because every five years the academy changes the way the exam, it could be a survival test or a battle against a trained mage could be anything!!"

Bryan nodded after hearing the conditions that allow access to the academy and then stared at John to complete his speech.

"As for the place, you have to leave for the Imperial City there. Ask someone there  and they will tell you where the registration is, but that’s a bit ludicrous because there are still two years until the registration opening date!!"

"Two years!? It’s a very long time, but if this will give me enough strength to take revenge on those who stood in my way and killed my loved ones, it is worth it!!"

Bryan grabbed his hand with some determination that he made up his mind and turned to leave, as he still had to go to the hospital to find out the cause of the death of the twins, assuming that their deaths were related.

John touched Brian's forehead with his finger. 

And he said,

 "Take care of yourself, boy. If you want any favors, you can tell Mary. She has a way of communicating with me."

Bryan leaped backward and tumbled through the sky several times before falling into a fighting position, holding in his right hand a short sword he had taken from a pocket space.

John smiled behind his mask when he saw Bryan's actions.

 "Relax, if I wanted to do something to you, we wouldn't have had that conversation!!" 

He turned and left slowly, leaving Bryan dripping with sweat.
