Josias was repairing the door to Jeremiah's room with visible annoyance. The hinges were with some loose screws, so he was fastening again with a screwdriver.

“Look at him,” Jeremiah says mockingly, when he and Wallace enter the hall, “I should call the police to report a violation of the home.”

“It says ‘home invasion’,” Josias responds, turning the screwdriver too hard as if he were turning the screwdriver over Jeremiah's head.
