Uélton breaks into the house, irritated by what happened. The punch still hurt, thankfully it wasn't bleeding.
However, Wallace, his older brother, noticed his younger brother walking angrily into the room with his hand on his face.
Wallace was the opposite of Uélton. He takes after his mother, he was more handsome, his ears were normal and he had a square jaw as Hollywood heartthrobs tend to be.
The boy wore only red shorts, as the house did not help with ventilation. His father was in the backyard weeding weeds and he was helping. Their mother was busy in the kitchen.
So Wallace took advantage of his parents' distraction to help Uélton without alarming them.
If the mother of Uélton and Wallace learns that their son got into fights, she could have a panic attack.
Wallace enters the room and finds his younger brother lying on the bed, arms crossed, no longer stroking the visible bruise.
“Uélton
Josias was repairing the door to Jeremiah's room with visible annoyance. The hinges were with some loose screws, so he was fastening again with a screwdriver.“Look at him,” Jeremiah says mockingly, when he and Wallace enter the hall, “I should call the police to report a violation of the home.”“It says ‘home invasion’,” Josias responds, turning the screwdriver too hard as if he were turning the screwdriver over Jeremiah's head.Wallace notices the boy that he is not muscular enough to break down a door. How did he do it?“Boy, did you manage to break down that door with that skinny leg?” Wallace asks without being offensive.“My legs are strong. Muscle does not always correspond to strength and endurance.” Josias says proudly. The job is done and Josias straightens up, facing the two men. He smirks and asks mockingly. “If I hear cries for help, should I call the
Uélton and Josias do not gaze at each other. Since Josias entered his home, he has greeted his parents, but not his best friend. Uélton remained in the room until his mother asked him to eat. Now the two are at the table, vis-a-vis, but without the courage to exchange half a word. Josias understands that Uélton invented a story so as not to accuse him of aggression. Deep down, he was grateful. “Too bad, Uélton, I didn't know,” Josias says not to leave the atmosphere boring. The best friend needs to say something. “You, who are new to the favela, keep an eye out, my boy.” Mr. Freire advises, “Unfortunately, honest and hardworking people are at fault.” “It seems that the more time goes by, the worse people get.” Mrs. Freire regrets as she elegantly cuts a chicken drumstick. Josias resists the temptation to grab the piece of chicken with his hand, but it seems impossible since he took the wing. All the meat around the bones is being waste
Pamela is running like crazy down the main street of Happiness Slum. Who would say, apparently the name of the favela rarely matches the situation of the residents...She is out of breath, disheveled, her clothes are rumpled and there is a small tear in the gray blouse she was wearing. The same blouse that caught Fabrício's attention. She went to a cafeteria with Fabrício. But, she was now walking back, running in despair.Where was that Gol? Where was Fabrício? And why was she running like she was running away from an avalanche? Some attentive neighbors made conjectures. But, no one thought of stopping the young lady to question what caused her so much fear and panic. When Pamela enters her street, she tries to run even faster so as not to be seen by the Campos family. But, it is just in front of Melissa's house that Pamela trips over some brick and falls to the ground, getting all dirty and scraping her k
Melissa knocks on the main door of Pamela's house. The older sister answers, worried and aware of what is going on.“Hi, I came to see Pamela. She tripped and fell in front of my house, my brother saw her.”However, Pamela's sister instantly clears the worry lines from her forehead and smiles in relief.“Ah, that was why! God, I'm glad you came to explain.”“What?” Melissa felt like she was invading a cinema in the middle of the movie, “No, I didn't come to clarify anything; I also want to know what happened.”“Well, my little sister has been making a fuss in her room, locked up, since she came back. My parents are at ease, as this is not the first time that Pamela has made a scene. I already passed that stage as a teenager.” The sister makes a gesture denoting impatience, “The way she is crying and the way my mother said, it looks like she was raped; but, if you are saying that she
Melissa did not want to divert the subject to the failure of Josias and her meeting, but Jenny was very curious and intended to make a connection. So, she told everything that happened, from the moment Pamela appeared inside the house and told Josias's 'plan' and Simeão's revolt.“Pamela visited Josias at the construction site.” Jenny recapitulates the events, “And today she says that. A friend of his comes and makes a joke, indirectly confirming your father's fear.”“I still feel like there's something wrong.” Melissa crosses her arms and sits on the bed.Jenny sits down next to her. “I understand. But your father forbade you to see the bricklayer assistant, and tomorrow Fabrício will come. Don't you want to enjoy and forget all this madness? Going to see Fabrício can make up for the loss of Josias a lot.”Melissa is not convinced either now or ever. Loss of Josias? Melissa didn'
Pamela cannot tell her family what happened, because to do that she would have to confess that everything started from a plan she drew up: to make Fabrício and Melissa marry so she could be with Josias. When the parents learn that it was she who involved Fabrício in the story, they will blame her and refuse to offer any help.In a way, lying on her bed in her room, after finally taking a shower and bandaging her wounds, Pamela concluded that she was really to blame for everything.Fabrício and others were invited by her older sister, Pamela didn't even know them well. Who told Pamela to play with fire?Who told Pamela to involve a boy she didn't even know? Her blindness in removing Melissa from Josias was such that she was not even able to check first who Fabrício was.If she knew he was that manic and possessive, she sure as hell wouldn't throw Melissa at him.Now he wants Melissa, and Pamela knows very well that
Josias and Teodoro are frightened, as they did not expect anyone to be spying on the conversation. Josias is more irritated when he sees that it was Jeremiah who had dared to laugh at something he had said.“What's so funny like that?” Josias swallows a piece of bread that he is chewing and gets up from his chair.“You, saying you're still a virgin!” Jeremiah holds his hands on his stomach; it is hurting so much that he squirms with laughter.“Jeremiah, stop being annoying!” Teodoro orders, “The boy is still eighteen, he is still young.”Jeremiah holds back the laughter a little and concludes, “With eighteen years I already had plenty of experience. Josias is late! Then he talks about my father; his father must not have taught him to be a real man!”Teodoro grabs Josias's arm, preventing the boy from leaving on top of Jeremiah. Josias regarded the tenant with hatred. Jeremiah felt victorio
No one understood what Pamela's purpose was to look all pretty and stunning for a simple Sunday lunch. However, there she was; all diva and imposing, as if the lunch was in honor of her.Melissa, however, smiles when she sees her friend so well with life. She was crying profusely yesterday and appeared to be in depression. The storm passed. But when Pamela defiantly looks at Fabrício, she feels that the storm is about to start.“Well, it looks like they're all here, right?” Simeão asks.“Jenny is missing,” Melissa remembers. While Jenny isn't coming, everyone heads to the kitchen, where lunch is being set at the table.Pamela makes a point of walking in front of Fabrício and sensually shaking her hips.Fabrício realizes that Pamela is provoking and challenging him. He is eager to ease his animalistic desires with Pamela but needs to pretend that he is in love with Melissa. How
