CAVES OF EFLIE After Delivering the message in Ivádia, it was night and Iasias was still on his way back to the caves as he had reached Eflie few moments ago. he saw the caves ahead of him and the dark night clouds were making it difficult to have a good view of it from the direction he was approaching the caves from. Iasias descended upon the midst of the caves. Elvio, Dalmatius and Domminick who seemed to have fallen asleep much earlier, were all coming out of their caves. “Welcome back boy!” Dalmatius yelled and Iasias nodded. They all sat and waited for him as he flew past them and landed in front of his cave. He walked in, and as he tried turning back into human, the pain which came from the injury he sustained while fighting the eccrifyte came back to him in a more excruciating way. He screamed as a result of the pain immediately he was done putting on his trousers. He lost grip of the shirt as he fell on his knees, screaming. Iasias felt every bit of the pain all over again
TOWER OF IVÁDIA Althea pushed open Nika's door slowly and the sound of the opening door caused Nika to stop pacing all over her room. “Thank goodness! You are here sister, I didn't want to bother you as I thought you might have already been far asleep by this time,” Nika said to Althea as she approached her. “You know you can always wake me any time my attention is required. I'll be always willing to assist you,” she said to Nika and she nodded. Nika grabbed both her hands and made her sit with her on the bed. “You haven't had any sleep ever since the moon rose. Is there any truth in what I just said?” She asked and Nika nodded to confirm that she was absolutely right about her conclusion. “I can't find time to sleep, I've been thinking about this offer, the offer the dragons made to us. What are we going to do about it?” Nika asked and she sighed. “I thought you had gone straight to the council after I left the stable at noon,” she said and Nika nodded. “Yes! I did go to see th
CASTLE OF PILIÁ Katerina believed that she was carrying a young one in her stomach, and this was the right time to proceed with the birth sacrifice. As it stands, three men needed to be executed at the execution ground. The witches were born into this belief and so did their sisters before them. The man who's child you were carrying must be slaughtered and have his blood offered to their sisters who have passed, with the intention of preventing the male involved in the conception process from getting any form of attachment to the child in their stomach. The man whom the child was for must be killed not only to prevent him from getting attached to the child when delivered, but also to prevent it from the other side. The child must not be aware of who her father was, and she must not be attached to him in anyway. Their sisters who has passed believed that the connection between father and daughter was strong enough to change the child's view on what they do and how they treat them, a
CASTLE OF IVÁDIA It was morning, and Varia was outside the Inner gate with her canvas pasted on the rectangular board which has three support system, holding it up to her shoulder level as she drew with charcoal and graphite. Her drawing was of an imaginary man sitting on the ground and resting his back on a tree. He has the hair on the left side of his head tucked behind his ear, and the length of his hair was slightly below his lower neck. He was putting on a pair of trousers and a shirt. One of his knee was raised and his other leg was fully stretched. Sister Cera was walking pass her, and she was forced to make a turn towards her as her artwork obviously drew her attention. She walked down to Varia and stood behind her while she drew, amazed. "Varia, I never knew you are an artist. One of great expertise if I must say?" Sister Cera complemented Varia's work and she dropped the piece of charcoal in her hand and turned to her with a grin on her face. "Thank you sister Cera," Var
CAVES OF EFLIE IASIAS' POV Since Iasias could not lay on his bare stomach in the caves, and his back was severely injured from the fight with the eccrifyte, he slept outside last night and here he was waking up in the same position. He opened up his eyes and his eyes met the morning sun as he was resting his back on the tree and his head was slightly raised, facing the sky. He looked down from the sky and he was startled as he saw Elvio, Dalmatius, and Domminick kneeling in a close range from him. Close enough that their faces were almost an inch away from his face. “What are you all doing?” Iasias asked in shock, and they all gave him space to breath. he sighed as he rubbed his eyes, trying to erase every urge to fall asleep again. “We are worried about you, we have been waiting for you to wake up,” Domminick said and Iasias brows furrowed as he replied, “why are you worried about me?” he asked. Iasias tried to get up, but he rested his head back on the tree the moment he began
CASTLE OF IVÁDIA A few moments after having seen the painting Varia was making. Knitting, Cera was at the kitchen supervising what was to be cooked for breakfast. She felt a light touch on her shoulder from behind and she was startled. She turned back to look over her shoulder and she chuckled as she saw that it was sister Imogen. “Sister, I haven't seen you in a couple of days. Where have you been all these time?” Cera said with a grin and sister Imogen laughed. “We met yesterday at the passage to the library,” she said to Cera and Cera's eyes met the ceiling as she tried to recall what she said. “Oh! Forgive my forgetfulness. I do remember now,” Cera said to her and she laughed. “It seems like old age has caught you better than it caught me,” Sister Imogen said and they both laughed. Cera stopped laughing as a question came to her mind about Varia's drawing. She would like to share the question in her mind with sister Imogen who was still standing before her. “Imogen, have yo
CAVES OF EFLIE Iasias was still sitting by the tree with Elvio next to him. The sun had risen fully, and the radiant energy from the sun grazed the soil. They were both sitting under the tree, but there was nothing to say to each other anymore. Iasias believed that Elvio was finally accepting it, whereas Dalmatius was not yet willing to accept it. Domminick had a neutral feeling about it, and he could not decide wether to accept it or not. “It itches me,” Iasias whispered underneath his breath as though he was only talking to himself, but his intention was for it to reach Elvio's ears. “Let me see what is going on there,” Elvio said and Iasias nodded as he slightly raised his back off the tree. Elvio reached for the piece of fabric that runs around Iasias waist to chest region, and he pushed it down a little to get a glance at the wound. “Elvio, Elvio, Elvio talk to me, please Elvio,” Iasias asked of Elvio as he continued to ignore Iasias as a result of his bewilderment. He did
MOUNT SICA After travelling for so long as it seemed to Iasias, since he had no energy left in him, and he had exhausted everything he had left on trying to get away from Eflie... It seemed Mount Sica was how far it could take him. He crashed at the top of mount Sica, and transformed back into human. He screamed due to the pain he felt, as he landed on his back. He was lying on his back even though he had an open wound on his back, he just thought that it could not get worse than it had been the couple of days. Turning to his side, he saw the clothes he took lying and waiting for someone to throw them on. Iasias sighed as he grabbed one of the trousers and tried to put it on while still lying on the ground. He succeeded in putting it on and also reached for a shirt as it was extremely cold out here, especially since it was night now. The light from the moon shone brighter on him here at the top of the mountain than when he used to be on the ground. He believed it was because of t
