Chapter ten
“I am so deeply sorry about what am about to do to you, I hope where ever you are you can forgive me.” He says to mayas lifeless bodyAfter saying that Almiron immediately puts his big thumb in his mouth then cuts himself open with his teeth. He then draws the fleur de lis symbol on the side of the young girls head which is where the brain is at.This will let him gain access to all of mayas memories and even her thoughts. After drawing it he starts mumbling and ancient resurrection spell as he called upon the forces of death to answer his call.“Gal ada mu ra luta.”While mumbling the spell this drew the attention of the undead.Spirits that were wondering around here on earth began to gather around him.A dark aura suddenly surrounded him as his eyes began to glow green.“Maya,” Almiron whispered, his voice barely more than a breath. “Can you hear me?”Then it happenedMaya’s eyes sprung wide open as she started breathing again.Though she was able to move and she was breathing, it didn’t look like life was strolling through her.Her eyes were white and her skin colour was unnatural, her lips were pale and there was no single sign of emotion on her face. The only thing that was the same was her hair. She sat up and turned to Almiron as she was now under his full control“Welcome back maya” Almiron said to the zombie girlAlmiron knew that the process wasn’t completed yet, there was still more to be done but for now he could manage what he had done as he only wanted to get information from her. While starring at maya he got a bit emotional as he still couldn’t believe that she was dead“Who did this to you?” He asked the zombie girl.Maya opened her mouth and just as she was about to speak a foul odour came out. Then, with a voice like dry leaves rustling in the wind, Maya spoke.“Almiron... what have you done?”“I need to know, Maya,” Almiron pleaded. “Who killed you?”Maya’s eyes, once bright and full of life, now held only a dull emptiness as memories from beyond the grave flooded her mind.“Daxon.” The name escaped her lips sounding like a breathy whisper“Daxon?” Almiron repeated to himselfHe had heard the name before.“Yes, that’s his name.” He said to himself. He then started to remember.Almiron’s blood ran cold at the mention of the shadow master. , But why would he want to kill Maya?He remembered that a while back he had a little argument with this daxon from their school. But it was still a little shock to him as he and daxon never crosed paths after that and he never knew that maya was seeing him.“Why, why did he do this to you?” He asked again“I don’t know.” She said again emotionless“He hates you Almiron... and he will stop at nothing to.... to..”And with that, Maya’s eyes closed, her body going limp once more as the spark of life faded from her once more.Almiron’s mind raced as he processed the information he had gleaned from the dead. A shadow master, lurking in the shadows of their university, a silent and deadly threat. But why did he target Maya?Determined to uncover the truth, Almiron extinguished the candle and slipped out of the morgue, leaving behind the chilling embrace of death as he ventured into the darkness of the night.Almiron drove through the silent streets, his mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. Raising Maya from the dead had been a harrowing experience, one he never imagined he would have to face. The weight of her lifeless gaze lingered in his thoughts, a constant reminder of the power he wielded and the responsibility that came with it.This was the first time Almiron had raised a human being, and he couldn’t shake the feeling of unease that settled in the pit of his stomach. Maya’s pale face haunted him, her voice like a ghostly echo in his mind. He knew he didn’t like the fact that his first practice with necromancy involved someone he cared about, but he couldn’t deny the strength he felt coursing through him. With each incantation, each movement of his hands, he could feel the power growing within him, dark and potentAs he drove, almiron repeated the in his mind like a mantra: daxon.A shadow master who had taken maya life, who had taken his cousin life. The name sent shivers down his spine, a name that now held the weight of his cousin death.Almiron knew he had to confront daxon, to find out why he had done what he did and make him pay for his crime .Almiron returned home to his spacious mansion as the evening shadows lengthened, the weight of Maya’s death heavy on his heart. Despite the luxurious surroundings, the opulent furnishings, and the sprawling estate, he couldn’t shake the feeling of emptiness that gnawed at him from within. Maya’s absence echoed through the halls, a constant reminder of the injustice that had befallen her.As night fell, Almiron retired to his study, the warm glow of the fireplace casting flickering shadows across the room. He sat in silence, lost in thought, his mind replaying the events of the previous night over and over again. He wished there was something more he could have done to save Maya, some way to change the course of fate. But he knew that dwelling on the past would get him nowhere. He had to focus on the task at hand. The next day dawned bright and clear, and Almiron rose early, determined to face whatever challenges lay ahead. He dressed quickly, the weight of Maya’s death still heavy on his mind, and made his way to the university.Almiron stepped onto the university campus, the morning sun casting long shadows across the familiar paths. As he walked, his mind buzzed with thoughts of Maya and Daxon, his determination driving him forward.Suddenly, his phone buzzed in his pocket, and he pulled it out to see a text from Zayn: “In chemistry class. Meet me there.”Almiron quickened his pace, his heart racing with anticipation. He reached the door of the chemistry lab and pushed it open, expecting to find Zayn inside. But the room was empty and dark, the only light filtering in through the windows casting eerie shadows across the desks and equipment. Almiron frowned, a sense of unease settling over him.Just as he was about to step inside, he felt it – a strange, dark presence lurking within the room.It sent shivers down his spine, raising the hairs on the back of his neck.He had never felt this kind of dark aura before, and just before he could react, the door swung open and zayn stepped out into the hallway. He noticed Almiron frozen by the chemistry door entrance and walked up to him.“Hey Al, what you doing here.” He askedAlmiron with surprise turned towards zayn and answered his question.“what do you mean? You told me to meet you here in chemistry class.”“Huh? I said biology class.”“I’m pretty sure you said chemistry.” He says while opening his phone“Look its even in the chart.” Almiron opens his phone and shows zayn the chart but to his surprise it was biology class that was written there.Almiron was surprised and shocked because he was sure he saw chemistry and not biology .“a small mistake, it’s fine.” Zayn says as he gently taps his shoulder.“But...” he says confused.“You know what, never mind, we’re having lunch in the next hour, I wanna talk to you about something.” Almiron said.Chapter eleven Almiron made his way to the university cafeteria, his heart still racing from the encounter with Daxon. He needed to talk to Zayn, to explain everything that had happened and prepare him for the dangers that lay ahead. As he entered the bustling cafeteria, he spotted Zayn sitting at a table near the window, nursing a cup of coffee. Almiron hurried over, his mind racing with thoughts of how to broach the subject.“Hey, Zayn,” Almiron greeted him, sliding into the seat opposite. “Thanks for meeting me.”Zayn looked up, a puzzled expression on his face. “No problem, man. What’s up? You seem kinda on edge.”Almiron took a deep breath, steeling himself for what he was about to say. “Zayn, there’s something I need to tell you. It’s... it’s going to sound crazy, but please hear me out.”Zayn raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. “Okay, shoot. What’s going on?”Almiron glanced around to make sure no one was listening before leaning in closer. “Last night, I raised Maya fr
Chapter twelve Zayn’s words lingered in Almiron’s mind as they left the university, the weight of their conversation heavy on his shoulders. He knew that if he wanted to stand a chance against Daxon, he needed to get better with his powers, to hone his skills until he could wield them with precision and control. As they walked through the streets, Zayn suddenly stopped and turned to Almiron, a determined look in his eyes.“I have an idea,” Zayn said, his voice filled with conviction. “If you want to beat Daxon, you need to get better with your powers. And I think I know just the place to train.”Almiron raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Zayn’s suggestion. “Where?”Zayn grinned mischievously. “The graveyard.”Almiron’s eyes widened in surprise. “The graveyard? Why there?”Zayn shrugged. “Think about it, Almiron. The graveyard is filled with death and darkness, the perfect environment for you to practice your necromancy. Plus, it’s away from prying eyes, so we won’t have to worry about
Chapter thirteen As Almiron woke up and got ready for another day at campus, he exchanged a warm greeting with his father before heading out the door. The morning sun cast a golden glow over the sprawling mansion as Almiron stepped outside, breathing in the crisp air of the new day.“Good morning, Father,” Almiron said with a smile as he passed by his father’s study.“Good morning, Almiron. Have a great day at campus,” his father replied, returning the smile.Almiron nodded, his mind already focused on the day ahead. He made his way to the waiting car, where his driver stood by the open door, ready to escort him to campus.“Good morning young master,” the driver greeted him with a nod.“Morning,” Almiron replied, sliding into the backseat of the luxurious car.“Campus, please,” he instructed the driver, settling back into his seat as the car pulled away from the mansion and onto the familiar streets of the city.As Almiron settled into the plush seat of his father’s luxurious car,
Chapter fourteen Just as the masked sniper left.Almiron staggered back to his mansion, his body aching from the wounds inflicted by Daxon’s dark shadows. His father rushed to his side, concern etched on his face as he took in Almiron’s injuries.“Almiron, what happened? Are you alright?” his father exclaimed, his voice filled with worry.Almiron forced a weak smile, trying to mask the pain that coursed through his body. “I’m fine, Father,” he replied, his voice strained. “It’s just a scratch. There was an incident with our driver. He was shot, and I got a few bruises in the process.”His father’s eyes widened with alarm. “Shot? Is he alright? And who would do such a thing?”Almiron nodded, weaving a convincing tale to explain away his injuries. “ Unfortunately he didn’t make it. As for who did it, I’m not sure. It happened so suddenly.”His father’s concern deepened, but he nodded in understanding. “Well, I’m just glad you’re safe, Almiron. We’ll get to the bottom of this.”Almir
Chapter fifteen It’s been almost a week since daxon died and Almiron had fully recovered from the bruises and wounds.Even though he still remembers every single event that happened that day Almiron tries he’s best to keep his mind off it. As Calvin turned to leave, a sense of déjà vu washed over Almiron. He remembered a similar encounter with Daxon, how their initial friction had escalated into a deadly rivalry. Determined not to repeat the same mistakes, Almiron took a deep breath and made a decision.“Hey, Calvin, wait up,” Almiron called out, his voice surprisingly calm.Calvin paused, turning back to look at Almiron with a raised eyebrow. “What’s up?” he asked, his tone cautious.Almiron stepped forward, extending his hand in a gesture of goodwill. “Listen, I know things got off to a rough start just now, but I don’t want any bad blood between us. Let’s start over, alright?”Calvin’s expression softened, a hint of surprise flickering in his eyes. Slowly, he reached out and
Chapter sixteen. As Almiron and Zayn entered the bustling cafeteria of the university, they couldn’t help but notice the familiar figure of Calvin and his group, the Eradicators, seated at a nearby table. The atmosphere in the cafeteria shifted subtly as their presence was felt, a tense undercurrent running through the air.Almiron and Zayn exchanged wary glances as they made their way towards an empty table, keeping a cautious eye on Calvin and his team. They knew that any interaction with the Eradicators could quickly escalate into conflict, and they wanted to avoid that at all costs. As Zayn was about to speak, his attention was suddenly captured by the arrival of a stunning new student. Jessica Jones, a recent transfer, entered the cafeteria, her presence drawing the eyes of everyone around her.Almiron couldn’t help but be captivated by Jessica’s beauty and poise as she made her way through the room. Her confidence was evident in every step she took, and Almiron found himself u
Chapter seventeen Two years ago, Calvin walked into a room where all four members of his team were seated, waiting for him. Their commandant stood at the head of the room, a stern expression on his face as he introduced everyone.“Calvin, meet your team,” the commandant said, gesturing to the individuals seated around the table. “This is Sarah, Marcus, Elena, and David.”Calvin nodded in acknowledgment, his eyes scanning each member of the team as he took in their expressions. He could tell that they were all highly trained and experienced, and he felt a surge of determination to lead them to success.“Sarah here is our expert in surveillance and reconnaissance,” the commandant continued, indicating the woman seated to his right. “Marcus is our weapons specialist, Elena specializes in hand-to-hand combat, and David is our tech expert.”Calvin nodded in turn to each member of the team, committing their names and specialties to memory. He knew that he had big shoes to fill as their n
