Chap 3 Confusion, Confusion!

On a messy floor, a young man lied lifelessly. He had dark-brown hair and pale skin.

Although his face was extremely pale, it didn't hide the fact that he was handsome.

On the floor beneath his belly was a pool of dark-red blood. The sight of the blood contrasted sharply against the pale tiles, creating a gruesome scene. It was evident that he had suffered a severe injury, leaving a trail of crimson leading to his lifeless body.

All of a sudden, his fingers twitched slightly, a faint sign of life amidst the stillness of the room. That was accompanied by a weak groan, and then his eyes gently opened. His pupils were gray. As he blinked, the intensity of his gaze revealed a depth of pain and confusion. It was clear that behind his striking appearance, there was a haunting story waiting to be unraveled.

"I thought I died," he muttered to himself while gradually lifting himself up.

He sat on the floor, reached out his hand, and rubbed his undeveloped abs. His expression changed abruptly.

He intended to take a cellphone out of his pockets, but he happened to be wearing a short-sleeve shirt that had no pockets.

'What is going on? And... where am I?" He thought as he scanned the surroundings in confusion.

The floor around him had pieces of broken glass and other things, as well as blood. This was different from the ground on which he was standing before he lost consciousness, and he also wore a jacket, not a short-sleeve shirt.

In addition, the shirt he was currently wearing was partly soaked in blood. He quickly touched his forehead, and to his surprise, there was no trace of a wound or any blood there. He also couldn't understand where the blood on his stomach as well as the floor came from, as he couldn't find any wounds on his body.

All of a sudden, a sound that sounded like a bell reverberated in his head. As the sound rumbled, he felt sharp pain in his brain. He closed his eyes and grimaced in agony. As the rumble and the pain reverberated, a series of memories popped up in his mind. His brain seemed to assimilate the memories. The memories were a jumble of images and sensations, completely foreign to him. Faces of people he didn't recognize flashed before his eyes, along with scenes from places he had never been. It was as if his brain was trying to piece together a puzzle that had been scattered across time and space. The pain intensified, making it difficult for him to focus on the memories, but he knew that unraveling this mystery was crucial to understanding what had happened to him.

Due to the pain, he fell back to the floor. He bit his lower lip, restraining himself from screaming.

After about a minute, the pain and sound stopped. Everything returned to normal.

Feeling powerless, he sluggishly sat up again. He held his head, not understanding what was going on.

He then stood up and wandered his gaze. He moved toward a long metallic box that resembled a drawer. He opened it and picked up a transparent phone-sized device. At that moment, he again had a drastic change of expression. He wanted to take his superphone and was now aware of where it was.

He knew the place he was, and at the same time, he felt that this was his first time being at his place. The familiarity of the surroundings confused him even more, as if he had a deep connection to this place despite the feeling of it being foreign. As he looked around, he noticed pictures on the walls that depicted moments he couldn't recall, adding to his growing sense of disorientation.

"What the f*ck is going on? Am I hallucinating?" His voice echoed throughout the room.

After calming down, he switched on the device. It had a password, but he knew it, which surprised him again. He turned off the device. He initially intended to use the browser to find out what was going on, but he found that he had no idea what to search for. He could only sigh.

After a moment of reflection, he decided to go out of the room. When he came out of the room and arrived in what seemed to be a living room, he was surprised to see a person lying lifelessly on the floor. The sight of the lifeless person sent a shiver down his spine, and he immediately rushed to check for any signs of life.

Going through his memories, he recognized her. It was his mom, but not the mother he knew. He was overcome by grief and missed the fact that she wasn't the mother he knew.

He couldn't believe what he was seeing—his mother, who had always been full of life and energy, now lay motionless before him. Memories of their happy times together flooded his mind, making the situation even more unbearable. Desperate to find answers, he frantically searched for a pulse or any signs of breathing, hoping against hope that there was still a chance to save her.

He recalled what happened a few moments ago. His mother cautioned him not to leave his room while she stood guard at the door. Then he heard her screaming. Not long after, two creatures broke into his room and attacked him. The result was that he... died!

At the moment, a light flashed in his head. 'Does that mean I have transmigrated?'

Nathan had indeed transmigrated into the body of another young man with the same name from another world that appeared to be a transcendental world.

He wasn't a bookworm in his previous life, but he had heard about transmigration from some friends.

Curiosity and confusion filled his mind as he tried to make sense of his current situation. He wondered if this was the opportunity he had heard about—a chance to experience life in a different realm.

"Kkkrakk..!" A strange sound pierced his ears, distracting him from his thoughts.

"Kkkrakk...!" He heard it again and immediately recognized it. 'A cowy-lizard?'
