The small goblin entered the village, and he saw his kin having their leisurely life. Some children were swinging their swords diligently, while others were playing with their same age. Most of the kids were doing mischievous things to the Elder, for which they would be scolded afterward.
Meanwhile, the adult and married ones were gossiping with nonsense news, clearly, they were women. And while Men were talking about how great their dragon was, which subdued their partners in bed.
The small goblin passes through them, and his panicking face does not escape the other goblin’s eyes. They couldn’t help but ponder what he was panicking about, and once they saw the direction he was heading. They couldn’t help but be affected as well. After all, the small goblin was heading to the Chief’s abode location.
The small goblins were clearly heading there to report for something. The small goblins were also kind of famous in the village. He was known for venturing outside, scavenging even little things just to survive. Gathering information was one of them because they were clearly valuable as well.
Although, most of them knew the small goblin don’t have parents or other kin to raise him and his sister. They weren’t compassionate enough to help their circumstance. Although, some were kind to provide them with some food. However, these days, they were currently suffering from a lack of food.
Therefore, the small goblins probably ventured outside again, hoping to have a portion of food for him and his sister to eat.
The parents decided to have their kids enter their own family shelter. As a result of their impatience and anxiety, they couldn’t stand the kids having fun as though being ignorant about the outside world. Therefore, they have no choice but to affect the kids through their emotions.
The kids innocently looked at their parents outside, who were looking in the same direction. Parents were biting their nails while some were hugging each other, hoping it was no bad news. Meanwhile, the cause of the alarm was none other than the small goblin who stood before the Chief’s guards.
There were two of them, each standing at the side of the sixty-four-inch width door. It was double the size of the standard door back in the modern world. Compared to the guard the small goblin encountered previously, the two guards exude a dominant bearing. Their pack of muscles was exposed as they were only using light armor made from the leather of the beast.
The thickness of the guard’s arm could even compare to the small goblin’s body. They have the same weapon hanging on their waist, and it was a mace. The head of the mace had uneven spikes surrounding it, and the goblin couldn’t help but gulp as he peeked at them. After all, that mace had been used countless times to smack the head of the beast threatening their village.
As the goblin was about to deliver his intention to them, he turned his head upward, and the words stuck in his throat. After all, how could he not be intimidated when the goblin was taller than him, and he was only probably on their chest level? In addition, the goblin wasn’t looking at him but forward as though disregarding his existence. Their lower fangs even stood out of their mouth, acting like a predator ready to gobble every prey they would spot.
In addition, the stench of raw meat entered his nose, and now only he noticed a severed leg of a beast in their hand. Looking at the size and its appearance, the goblin concluded they must have belonged to the wild boar tusk. He then looked at the lower fangs and saw the lingering meat of the severed leg and blood tainted their yellow teeth.
The goblin was really frightened about it and felt his legs trembling and turning jelly. However, he was resolute and reminded himself of the reward. As long as he could have the reward, then it all mattered. Even if he lost one of his limbs, he couldn’t care less about it. There was still a special person waiting for him.
“I-I wanted-,” stuttered the small goblin.
Before he could even finish what he wanted to say, he halted the words in his mouth when he saw the goblin guard move his arm, clutching the severed legs and tearing it with his yellow teeth. The scene was so gruesome to the small goblin that he wanted to throw up. Thankfully, he was used to the same sight, and his empty stomach held him from vomiting.
“Why come thee?” The other guard asked.
He then followed his partner and ate the severed legs as though it didn’t matter how hard the meat was. His tone was casual and didn’t appear intimidating, but the small goblin took it differently. He gulped and braced himself to send his intentions without stuttering up.
“I was venturing outside the village hoping to scavenge materials to trade for some food when I came across-.”
Sadly, the two guards reacted aggressively once they heard what he had said. The two of them bellowed at the same time.
“What?! Did you venture outside?”
“Do you know how dangerous outside, kid?! Even we need to be careful to avoid becoming prey to others!”
“With your body? I doubt even the mosquito monster we are wary about is enough to eat you alive!”
“Mosquito monster?” The guard asked his partner.
“Did you forget about them? How could you when…”
“When what?”
“I don’t know.”
The small goblin watched them as he didn’t know how to react. The Chief’s guard was famous for their brutality and cruelty. However, they were known for another identity as well, all brawn but no brain guards! Although they might appear fools and talk like an idiot, their masculinity was enough for everyone to fear them.
When the pair of guards were talking about the news in the goblin’s knowledge, he gathered his courage and decided to explain it to them.
“I-I think you are talking about the hunters hunting outside the village but returning with their member's sufferings from the loss of blood.”
The guards heard his explanation and stopped their quarreling as the small goblins garnered their attention. They both turned their head and glared at the small goblin, who immediately lowered his head because of fear. Their aggressive facial expressions suddenly lit up as they remembered something.
“That’s right! You, the small goblin! How can you know about it?!”
“Oh yeah! I remember them now! HAHAHA! Serve's them, right? After all, back when I wasn’t still a Chief’s bodyguard. I remember fighting other monsters who placed me in a life and death-situation…”
“And then?”
Once again, they were lost in an irrelevant topic, and the small goblins had to wait for an hour so the pair of guards could stop their conversation. Once saw the chance, he immediately grabbed it, but before he could announce the reason for his coming, the voice inside the hut reverberated outside.
“What’s going on?! Why are the both of you barking at each other?! I clearly made the entrance wide enough to prevent the two of you from making noise outside. Who would have thought it becomes useless? There’s probably someone who caused this mischief, so who is it?”
The two guards outside immediately shut their mouths and sent a glare at the small goblin, seemingly blaming the scolding of the Chief on him. The small goblin was wet with sweat, and his mind was panic-stricken. After all, the guards looked at him as though they were ready to devour him at any moment.
“It was this small goblin who started this Chief! He should kowtow and lick your feet for forgiveness. He deserved it!”
“That’s right! If it wasn’t because of him telling us he ventured outside. We wouldn’t have reacted about his carelessness and spent three hours scolding him.”
“Bro, it was only two hours though.”
“No, I felt it was three hours so it should be!”
“Stop!”
Both of their mouths immediately closed.
“Guard your post properly and stop slacking off!”
“Roger that, Chief!”
“Yes, Chief!”
Once the two guards returned to their respective posts, the Chief’s voice echoed outside again.
“Enter!”
The small goblin knew he was being called by the Chief and couldn’t help but gulp as he felt nervous. This would be the first time he had come face to face with the Chief and would personally deliver a piece of information to him. He moved his shaky legs and couldn’t stop ordering them to move, which made him even forget the existence of both guards. Thankfully, they disregarded him, and he struggled to move his legs until he finally entered the Chief’s hut.
An hour earlier, the two guard’s voices sounded inside the hut. However, the village chief was conversing with someone, so it took an hour for the village chief to be completely annoyed about the guards and decided to shut them up.In addition, the inside of the hut was considerably vast. After all, instead of calling it a chief’s hut, it would be more suited to call it the headquarters. The chief would sometimes gather people inside to converse in an important conversation. While he would let other people work inside the hut to supervise their progress.Similar to now, the village chief was conversing with the most important person in the village. The village chief was talking about the person’s progress regarding his progression of magic, but he was disappointed to receive the report. He couldn’t hasten him, though, for he doesn’t have power enough to act like it.The village chief was respectful, and each of his tones was polite and formal. Therefore, when he received disappointing
“You’re exaggerating him.” The old goblin looked at the village chief, smiling like an idiot, and shook his head from his silliness. “Do you know why I’m confident?”The village chief nodded his head, and the sparkling eyes didn’t escape the old goblin’s vision. He didn’t mind it because he knew the village chief was obsessed with his magic. Or rather, the village chief was hungry for such power.“Watch me, then.”The old goblin sneered in confidence, before opening his mouth as he was muttering gibberish incomprehensible words. The village chief knew what he was doing even though he understood nothing about what the old goblin was saying. The old goblin was chanting to summon the power of magic! The village chief couldn’t help but imagine himself doing the exact same thing and then summoning a power out of magic. He even imitated the old goblin once when the old goblin summoned a fireball that incinerated the target. It was also fast, even though he knew he could react, but with tens
[You have learned the skill, Silent Flap.] “Finally!” After spending five hours flapping his wings, Isaac finally gained the skill he desired. Although he didn’t acquire the chain skill from the combination of the split-consciousness and enhanced thinking, it didn’t discourage him. “It’s probably because I can use them however I want. I don’t even need the system’s consent to activate them.” Passive skills are a special type of skill that differed from others, especially normal skills. They were always active and sometimes only triggered once a specific condition had been met. They didn’t need to be activated because they would only activate on their own. Although there was a clear distinct difference between the passive skills and the Split consciousness and Enhanced thinking of Isaac, he felt they were similar. “Anyhow, now that I acquired the skills. I can now stealthily enter the village and explore what’s inside!” Isaac hovered in the back of the village, so he had to fly a
Isaac once offended his classmates because he was told to follow her. It should be nothing noteworthy in the school, but his classmate felt disgusted by his personality. The girl saw his friend and chatted with her for five minutes, but Isaac felt impatient and grabbed the girl’s hand, and it immediately left a bad taste in the other girl.Isaac had always been impatient that he treated seconds as minutes. Time was gold, his motto. Therefore, he grew annoyed by the system’s demand for acquiring skills only he invested time. However, Isaac always moved on rather than wasting time complaining about it.“I should follow him then.” Isaac set his eye locked on the small goblin. “He seemed to have a loud-talking mouth. If I followed someone introverted, then I might spend weeks learning the skill.”Isaac silently followed the small goblin running while carrying something on his chest. The other goblin looked at him as they smiled, but some gave him an envious stare. Thankfully, no one follo

In addition, three of the option was about the soul thing, which should be the underlying reason she was sick. And for half a year?!"Isaac felt pity for t
“As expected.” Isaac sighed. “I didn’t know the goblin village is about to face its impending doom. Who would have thought they are dumber than humans? Well, back then. Citizens were easy to deceive by the government, but it was only because they doesn’t have a choice. While here… I have nothing to say.” Isaac looked at the little girl goblin with pity. He also looked at her big brother and later learned his name was Ink. He couldn’t help but feel sympathy for their future since even his big brother doesn’t have the power to change their faith. “In addition, even if I wanted to protect them. I might only bring myself harm. After all, who would have thought the greatest nemesis of the goblin is my race? If it isn’t because of my cautious attitude, I might not be alive and flying right now.” Isaac chuckled lightly and concluded that from now on, he would always be cautious wherever he went, especially now he was inside such a large dungeon. Even the hidden door is enough to be a lower
“Thank you,” replied Isaac coldly. After he learned his name, Phantom, he acted like how the name described. His personality should be cold and should be narcissistic. However, he didn’t know how to act like the latter because he never considered himself the main character. He was always humble and prideful but not overly arrogant. Therefore, he decide to act naturally as he could.“Phantom, I heard your flying skill is faster than any other flying monster. In addition, even the king greatly always praises you because of your astonishing skill to act as a spy and scout to other races without being discovered once. He was disheartened when he heard about your sudden disappearance, but when he discovered you are still alive and thought should discover a hidden place. He immediately gathered five hundred of us to follow you and accompany you in conquest. After that, he wanted to report you to him,” said the mosquito in the middle of the group. He then continued. “However, we can’t match
“I will take my leave now. However.” Isaac’s eyes turned cold, causing the five mosquitoes to tremble in fear. “You will know what will happen if something happens to the sibling goblin. I’m not kidding. Don’t test me.”“Y-Yes,” replied the leader while nodding his head. “Rest assured, Phantom. With five of us guarding them, our kin can't harm them.”The other four mosquitoes immediately supported their leader while trying their best to flap their wings, wanting to resist the pressure Phantom brought to them. Isaac felt assured by their reactions and quickly smiled at them, causing the tense atmosphere alleviated.Isaac was about to ask where the king was currently because he knew nothing about where the previous Phantom resided when he sensed his kin asking for help. Immediately, he lost connection to a single mosquito up to five mosquitoes each second, signifying their death. Isaac couldn’t help but tense up. What could have caused the sudden death of his kin? Does the goblin villag
