Dr Damien Smith? Brian and the receptionist were both taken aback, clearly remembering the name. The name of the young man who they had walked out of the hotel.

Seeing how shocked and quiet they both were, Mr Nelson sensed something was wrong. He faced Brian with his jaw clenched, "Don't tell me he was here."

Brian quickly bowed his head, "He was here," he answered, not daring to look at him.

Mr Nelson let out a deep breath and looked around, "Where is he? Did he go to the restroom?" He questioned at once and licked the seam of his lips, looking nervous. "He agreed to come. This is great news," he muttered.

"Sir, I apologize," Brian started, putting Mr Nelson's happiness to a stop. He lifted his brows with his gaze fixed on him as he waited for him to explain himself. Brian went on, "I didn't recognize him and I sent him out, thinking he came to the wrong place."

"What do you mean by you sent him out?" He asked with his voice calm, but Brian knew it meant he was about to spit fire.

"Are you Dr Damien?"Damien had seen Mr Nelson countlessly on TV, but seeing him physically for the first time, got goosebumps crawling all over his skin. Just as he was on social media and the internet, he was young and good-looking, having a stern look that gave the idea of how bossy he was. He was a business and serious-minded person and would do anything for profit. That was enough reason he was selected by his father to head the family's business. There was also one thing that got Damien intimidated b

'The old man is not sick?' they all stared at him wondering if he had gone crazy. Their father was unconscious and at the point of death, and his sickness was chronic. Sandra suddenly laughed and faced her brother, "Nelson what were you thinking? You brought a quake here to tell us father is fine?" She questioned, crinkling her nose in disgust. Nelson shook his head and went closer to Damien, ignoring his sibling's remark. "What are you talking about? What do you mean by he is not sick?" He questioned, his voice laced with curiosity."Stop this nonsense, Nelson. I know your plan and it's so obvious. You can't get the company's fund through with drama of yours," Neil pointed out and stepped forward. "I wouldn't let you destroy our family's company which father has built throughout his lifetime. I don't care if you are the new chairman, I will still protect our empire. You won't get away with this cheap trick you came up with.""I am not playing a cheap trick here. Why would I want to

He was getting better, but suddenly, Neil came to me and told me to change his medications. I had no idea why he wanted to do that to his father and I disagreed after seeing the medications he brought 'cause they have severe effects which I told him about, but he persuaded me until I gave in."Silence reigned in the room as the words of the doctor got registered in their minds. As if been controlled, they all turned their heads uniformly to Neil who loo

Damien stood before the long mirror in the room and adjusted his shirt to make it perfect. He was going to meet Mr Nelson again so he put more effort into getting ready than he did when he went to meet him the first time. Not for a particular reason, but he just felt the need to put in more effort. He picked up his car key and went out of his room. Nelson sent an address for their meet-up, which was in a restaurant uptown. One of the many restaurants owned by the family. He had no idea why he chose to meet him there, but he knew it might be because of what happened at the hotel. He drove to the address, using a map as a guide and when he got there, he pulled over and handed the key to a valet who took over the driver's seat and drove the car away. Damien looked around, examining the area following his instinct, before he averted his gaze back to the restaurant, which had transparent glass walls, revealing the interior design and everyone in it. It was beautified with expensive dec

Damien immediately went down and Nelson followed suit, lucky enough to escape being hit by the bullet. The men in black brought out their guns and began to shoot in the direction of the shooter. Damien remained in his position, surprisingly not as scared as he thought he would be when he came across a shooter or assassin. He had no idea why he felt so confident with the two men around them. One thing he was sure of was that, he wouldn't get hit. He was back to fame exposure and that was going to happen one way or the other. The room became calm and the two of them came out of their hiding spot. The two men quickly led them out, and when they were in safety, Nelson finally breathed in relief, while Damien kept staring at the room they had come out from. "I apologize for putting your life in danger. They are surely after me and I should have been more careful," Nelson apologized breathlessly, but Damien didn't hold it against him. The corners of his lips quirked up as he drew closer, not letting go of Damien's hand. There was nothing but anger and hatred in his eyes, which was noticeable to Damien. He knew he still had a grudge and he wouldn't leave until he got his revenge. Revenge on what exactly? Damien wondered and pulled his hand from his grip. "You don't have to throw away my card that way," he muttered and went to pick it up. Coming back to the cashier's table, Neil suddenly gripped his shirt and squeezed it tight, in a way he wouldn't be able to pull out. "You destroyed my life?" He gritted his teeth, with rage burning in his eyes, ready to burn everything it came across. Damien tried to pull his hand away from him, but the man was strong. "I didn't destroy your life. "I want you to go back to the hotel and tell everyone what you said was a lie. You were made to say it. Tell them Nelson made you lie," he answered, taking Damien aback. "You want me to go as far as doing that? Then what would you do? Continue giving your father the sleeping medications until his death?"He sighed and every part of him spoke frustration, "I won't give him that medication. Damien stared at him, feeling pity. All he could see was a man, craving

He let out a deep breath and moved back, going closer to the door to avoid getting captured by the surveillance camera. He brought out two little explosives, which had been with him before he left for the meeting. He had slipped it into his pocket to use it when necessary. He activated it and threw it to the center of the basement. After waiting for a few seconds, it exploded and the building shook. The basement became smokey, blinding the cameras. An easy way to successfully rescue Josh and leave, he thought. He ran into the opened door and just as he had suspected, Josh was chained to a chair in the middle of the room with his mouth covered. "This damn people," he muttered and ran to him. He pulled the tape out of his mouth and Josh breathed out deeply. "You shouldn't be here. This is all a trap. Get out!" He said with his voice laced with panic. "I promise to always protect you and i

The second guard was standing before them, staring at them in horror. He was going to call his partner as he was taking too long and their bosses would soon be out, but he found him unconscious with the woman and a familiar man beside him. "Hey! Who are you two?! What have you done!" He said out, bringing their attention to him. He quickly brought out his gun but before he could point it at them, Mary threw the rod to him and it hit the gun away. Before he could recover, she ran and punched him hard on his face and the next to his chest, rendering him weak. He fell on his knees groaning in pain. "You should never have trusted me," she muttered and wrapped her arm tightly around his neck, to make him unconscious, while Allen went on to undress the other officer. The second guard finally went to sleep and she let him go. "Now, we have our perfect disguises," she said with a smile and made to undress him but Allen held back her hand. They both left the car and ran towards the state library. Just when they got closer, Mary suddenly held his hand and dragged him to the alley. "What are you doing? This is our chance to go in," he pointed out, not pleased with her sudden action. "I know we are two and I promised to fight with you, but are you a fool?" She questioned, which made him arch his brows. She never misses a moment to insult him. She went on, "If we go into that library as Allen Scott and Mary Jane, the project Erubus would be informed before we get to them and they will have all the time to escape and plan an attack. We don't even know where exactly they are in the building." Allen signed deeply, knowing she was right. He was going to make a bad decision but lucky enough, she was there to stop him. "So what's your plan? Are we going to disguise to go in?" She nodded. "We have to disguise. That way, we can enter as normal people and figure out what to do and where to go." "Won't it take a lot of time

"Mary?" He called, in shock. "C'mon. We don't have all day. My system is about to shut down!" She yelled out, getting ready to run. Allen nodded and hurried down the stairs. He put his glasses into his pocket and together, they ran into the woods, going as fast as they could. "We need to find a place to hide before the explosion," she pointed out, breathing heavily. "Come with me," he answered and took the next turn. He noticed a pit a few distance away from them and pointed it direction. "There!" They both jumped into the pit and a loud explosion followed next, shaking the ground and bringing everything on its path down. After the explosion, silence followed next with their heavy breathing loud to their ears. Mary Jane sat down and placed her hand on her chest, trying to calm her racing heart. "That was close," she muttered. Allen nodded and sat beside her, trying to steady his breath. She looked at him and asked, "How did you know there was a pit here?" "I took noti

He questioned and looked around for another door. He found an escape door but when he tried opening it, it was locked. "Dang it!" He cursed inwardly and went on to search for another door in desperation. If it was a bomb, the time would be ticking and he knew he had a few minutes to escape or that would be the end. He still had a lot to do. He promised Stephanie that he would be back. He still had to bring down the project Erubus and ruin his father. "I can't die today," he muttered, thinking about everything he had to do. He found a few more doors but they were all locked and the few that weren't, they led to a different room. It wa
